http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3880712 WASHINGTON -- Tests have linked Roger Clemens' DNA to blood in syringes that his former personal trainer says he used to inject the pitcher with performance-enhancing drugs, according to a report. Citing two unidentified sources familiar with the investigation, The Washington Post reported Tuesday that the DNA results are preliminary and subject to verification tests. The newspaper said Clemens voluntarily gave a DNA sample to federal authorities, according to the sources, and it still remains to be determined whether the syringes ever contained steroids or human growth hormone. The test results could prove important to the investigation into whether Clemens lied under oath to Congress last year when he denied using steroids or HGH. Prosecutors have asked a federal grand jury in Washington to decide whether to indict the seven-time Cy Young Award winner. Brian McNamee has told federal agents, baseball investigator George Mitchell and a House of Representatives committee that he injected Clemens more than a dozen times with steroids and HGH from 1998-2001. Clemens' lawyer, Rusty Hardin, told the Post that the DNA testing "won't matter at all." "It will still be evidence fabricated by McNamee," Hardin was quoted as saying. "I would be dumbfounded if any responsible person ever found this to be reliable or credible evidence in any way." The Associated Press reported last week that, according to a person close to the case, the world-renowned UCLA Olympic doping lab -- where the "clear" and the "cream" of BALCO infamy first were uncovered -- has in hand the physical evidence McNamee turned over to federal prosecutors in early 2008 that his side says will link Clemens to drug use. For the items to play a role in the case -- to help settle the he-said, he-said between Clemens and McNamee -- investigators must know what, exactly, they contain. McNamee's lawyers said last year the material included vials of testosterone and unused needles Clemens gave to McNamee. They also said they turned over needles used to inject Clemens -- needles that were contained in a beer can McNamee says was removed from the trash at the pitcher's New York apartment in 2001 -- and gauze used to wipe blood off Clemens after a shot. At the time, Clemens' camp called it "manufactured" evidence, while the trainer's side said the items were thrown in a box by McNamee and kept for years in case he needed to "protect himself" somewhere down the line. "The defendants will undoubtedly claim it was tampered with. But the jury will decide whether that's true or not," one of McNamee's lawyers, Richard Emery, said in a telephone interview Friday. "I don't think there's any doubt that it'll be admitted in the case, assuming that it reveals that Clemens' DNA is mixed with steroids or HGH." Asked last week to comment on the UCLA lab's role, Hardin said through a spokesman: "We're happy that they're using such great resources, but it doesn't matter. Because at the end of the day, this is just a bunch of junk that was put together in a dark, dusty basement years ago by McNamee." Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press

BATTERED by the strong yen and sliding consumer demand, Sony has reported fiscal third-quarter net profit skidded 95 per cent and reiterated it will likely swing into its first net loss in 14 years in the fiscal year ending March. The Tokyo-based electronics giant said net profit for the October-December period dropped to 10.4 billion en ($AUD245 billion) from 200.2 billion yen a year earlier. Revenue fell 25 per cent to 2.15 trillion yen from 2.86 trillion yen. It posted an operating loss of 18 billion yen, compared with an operating profit of 236.2 billion yen in the same period a year earlier. The slide in third-quarter net profit was in line with the forecast Sony issued last week, when it warned it now expects a 150 billion yen net loss this fiscal year, compared with a 369.4 billion yen net profit a year ago. That underscored the urgency of a global restructuring program Sony announced last December: cutting 16,000 jobs around the world, half of them full-time positions. Sony hopes to save 250 billion yen in costs in the next fiscal year starting April, while booking 170 billion yen in total charges to cover the cutbacks. Losses in its core TV operations remain a major challenge. Sony booked a loss of 43 billion yen from its TV operations in the October-December quarter, hurt by deteriorating pricing conditions and the strong yen. Sony said in a separate, joint statement with Japanese electronics peer Sharp that the pair will delay the planned establishment of a joint venture to produce and sell liquid crystal display panels by a year. The venture now won't be set up until March 2010, they said. Overall, Sony said the electronics operations made an operating loss of 15.9 billion yen in the third quarter. It eked out an operating profit in its video-games division of 389 million yen, down 97% per cent from 12.9 billion yen in the same period a year earlier. The Wall Street Journal

Rumor: New Downloadable Content for SOCOM: Confrontation
o-BacklasH-o replied to Nemesis's topic in Playstation
I severely doubt that we will see this any time soon or before a significant patch. I would find it simply retarded to release DLC when the game itself still has major flaws that are unaddressed, not to mention the flaws that are a bi product of every one of their patches. Screw the DLC give us page 17 and fix the flaws. I personally would be SHOCKED if we get DLC in the next 6 months. Absolutely shocked. I'll eat my words if they release DLC and a patch fixing all the major things wrong with this game. As someone who has had his heart broken far too many times by the franchise in the post Socom 2 era, I don't give them any credibility anymore until I see it. This game is so unlike S1 and S2 it's a joke. -
LOL now that's awesome. I hope Killzone 2 does buttfuck Halo. Sony needs K2 to deliver.
-
Indeed it is.
-
LMFAO I did. It looked like a chode, very wide and stubby.
-
You can say that again. Oh wait. lol.
-
That is an honest tactic though. The water is there' date=' it's part of the map, it's not a glitch, thus it's part of the game play. That's different then killing yourself to win a war. [/quote'] it's a GB tactic. It's the same to me as the people who hid on anchorage suppression in the water or anchorage demo with the bomb on CA. I don't know, I just think that if someone is in a spot they cannot be killed at, it shouldn't be allowed. Hence why Anchorage was taken out of past UF's during Combined Assault.

It took me a few seconds to realize what you were talking about Street. Another great guy rolling with cBF! I was a little upset I missed the Trauma ward last night, especially after missing Mass Friday. The vicoden is just knocking the shit out of me though.
-
Man that was disappointing to watch. Oh well, it was a great game. I wanted to see Kurt win it again and ride off into the sunset. The Cardinals just made way too many penalties and bad plays to overcome apparently. You have to look at the Harrison pick six as the biggest play of this game.

Cock meat Samich FTL... :-X

Yeah they packed it up with 14 feet of gauze. I had that removed yesterday which was a HUGE relief and finally the stitches removed today. I'm allowed to blow my schnoz now which is fucking awesome.

Also CDBS please read what I posted under the pictures, I did not actually go 12 rounds with Canseco. That was me making a funny, I underwent surgery to repair my deviated septum and broken nose.
-
I decided to hop in on that whole celebrity boxing stuff too. Yeah Canseco really beat my brains in, I think he enjoyed it after all the crap I talked about his steroid using ass LOL: Really though I had a septoplasty (to fix a deviated septum) done today, along with taking out some bone and a polyp. Just thought I'd post up as I'm astonished how big my nose is now with the gauze and swelling LOL. Enjoy and let the ribbing begin haha. I'm going back to sleep now.
