I hear about Hancock that people aren't upset that it's not the "family" type of movie due to the dark humor and foul language, and they are walking out with their kids in tow. The "critics" said Rocky (original) was going to flop and the only chance that movie had was if Ryan O'Neal played the lead role. I'm gonna check out Hancock this weekend.

Supreme Court Rules: 2nd Amendment is Individual Right
HogWild_101st replied to BIGDANIEL's topic in Playstation
The United States is a gun "society". We won our freedom with guns, we tamed the west with guns, and we keep the rest of the world in line with guns. We are a bunch of "cowboys" and that's not something I am ashamed of. Want to know what outlawing guns does? Look at Australia. They outlawed guns, and murder, rape, and robbery crimes statistics have gone through the roof. Want to know why? Only the crooks have guns. Protect your rights to defend yourself. If someone breaks into your house, do you REALLY want to verify if they have a gun? That is YOUR castle and you are KING. If someone is there and is not invited, they don't belong there and must be up to something illegal. Do you want to wait until they finish THEIR CRIME before deciding what to do? If so, you are a moron. It's not about killing someone else. It's about protecting yourself and your loved ones. Every living thing has the right to protect their own life. Period, end of story. -
Supreme Court Rules: 2nd Amendment is Individual Right

A law abiding citizen with guns is nothing to be concerned about. It's a criminal with guns that cause concern. One armed law abiding citizen in the right place at the right time will save lives. -
Lawn darts was better, if someone pissed you off you had a weapon readily available....

Plot for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

I guess they should have sold Megatron for scrap metal.... -
I had a former clan member messing with me when we were in the same room. He had forgotten that while he was a member of our clan that after his surgery our clan had sent him something and when I saw the address I mentioned to him that my brother lived in the same city and state. So after several rounds of his crap, I reminded him of his close proximity to my brother and it could be arranged for us to meet the next time I visited my brother. He hasn't bothered me since. I gotta admit, it was pretty neat to be able to just one time rip away the internet safety curtain and make someone change their behavior immediately. The funniest thing about it, he actually believed I would risk an arrest for assault over a video game. I'm not oppossed to punching someone who deserves it in the nose, but not over taunts, trash talking, and victory dancing.

That's what it sounds like! Pretty crazy! I guess now you have to be more stealthy? Like if you whisper when standing next to a teammate and you are a few feet behind or away from the enemy, will he hear you like he would if you spoke outloud? That's just nuts! That's just going to promote more camping, some slob uncapable of thinking on a tactical level will hide and wait until he hears a voice not from his team to give him a heads up as to someone coming. It's stupid beyond belief. We can't communicate with nothing but the mic, we can't use hand and arm signals. I predict this now. It won't work as advertised. A player from the other side will hear a enemy player on the other side of the map, or someone will figure out how to do it. Stupid idea with the mic eavesdropping.

It's more than that in some places.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,368221,00.html President Bush plans to make a renewed push Wednesday to get Congress to end a long-standing ban on offshore oil and gas drilling, echoing a call by GOP presidential candidate John McCain. Trying to do something at least. Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic candidate for president, opposes lifting the ban on offshore drilling and says that allowing exploration now wouldn't affect gasoline prices for at least five years. THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THE TREE HUGGING DEMOCRATS SAY EVERY TIME THE GAS PRICES GET OUT OF HAND. If the democrats had not stopped drilling here in and around the United States THE FIRST TIME THEY USED THIS EXCUSE we would have been oil independent 20 years ago! Unless you want to live like the Europeans and Japenese (commuter trains, buses, bicycles, ridiculously compact cars) when it comes to primary means of transportation, contact your Congress person and Senator and tell everyone you know to do the same. The Senate (top right hand corner is the search engine): http://www.senate.gov/ The House of Represntatives: https://forms.house.gov/wyr/welcome.shtml Take action before it's too late. You can make a difference.

That put on 18 yesterday by Tiger to get into a playoff, and then Rocco takes Tiger to an extra hole after the 18 hole playoff. If you wrote a story like that they would call it fiction. Good on Rocco for not folding under the pressure, he lost but he wasn't "beaten".

Just like the oil companies, ISP's have us by the short hairs. The only way to fight back is not to use their product. And like oil, with the internet is not likely to happen soon. But I do see a problem. The "free" internet that is floating around the air waves on wireless routers. Someone is paying for that. But there is a way to shield your router I think, I'm not well versed in this kind of stuff.

David Robinson went through the same thing. Back then I thought if he paid back the school (Annapolis is Navy run and funded) that he should be released from his obligation and purse his pro basketball career. But the Navy didn't budge, Robinson remained a amatuer athelete for another four years while he was in the Navy, even participating on a Olympic team. Once his commitment was up Robinson entered the NBA draft. I still feel the same. Serving is a choice. If I had the opportunity to become a multi-millionaire (a realistc chance) then I probably wouldn't have served in the military. I have no regrets. Besides my family, the Marine Corps was the best thing to happen to me. Generals and other officers frequently retire to high paying advisory jobs in the military industrial complex. So what's "one guy" to the U.S. Navy? The Navy could use it as a recuiting tool, "a stepping stone to success" or something along those lines. But to be fair to the Navy. The young man did make a commitment on the deal that the Navy would pay for his education. SoI don't think the Navy is out of line for it's stance. I'm just saying I would probably take a different stance.

1. The Quiet Man. 2. Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Much better than the first Hulk movie. Not as good as Iron Man. But still worth the price of a theater ticket.

If there is a SOCOM Tac Map tourny 101st can be counted on to participate. I would just recommend it ends before Confrontation's release if a tourny was put in motion, it would be a shame for a Tac Map tourny not be finished because no one can get clan members to put the CA disc back in for a few nights a week.

I'd call that "testing your intelligence" and recieving a failing grade..... but that's just me

I hate CoD4. I hate the repspawn factor. I hate the first person shooter. I really hate the open mic's, like really really hate the open mic's, in fact the open mic's might be the must unfavorable thing about that game. And it's a respawn, I really hate repsawns. Sooooo..... Tow, since you brought it up. Pitcher or catcher?

Come over to the 101st site and start a thread in the Chit Chat or News forum. Nothing wrong with a discussion of oppossing views. The only person I agree with 100% of the time is..... me. That being said, if you are a government conspiracy supporter, it's going to be a lively discussion, but it can still be civil.

Good to see the standards apply to all. Would have been better if it didn't have to be proven it's so in the first place. Right on Tow. Set the standards and then hold the line. Not a thing wrong with that.

This is open to debate, and a whole can of smelly worms could be opened here. I think this is not the intentions of the original poster. Nice pic. Nothing wrong with a debate, as long as you don't do it like Loose Change.

I'm no fan of Halliburton. But how is Halliburton respnsible for that? Al Queda and islamic extremism, that I believed is firmly rooted in Saudi Arabia did that.

I wouldn't want to live there because I just can't stand slow traffic, but I've always been intrigued with New York. I hope I get off my can and do it someday.

My cell phone is a company phone. If my job didn't require me to have it, I wouldn't have a cell phone at all.

Glad I didn't get involved. Probably shouldn't now. But I call them as I see them. Before I "call it" I want to say something first. It's the easiest thing to criticize. It takes no effort, no real work. One just has to open their mouth and let it run. It's not fair, but life usually isn't. This tournament however requires real effort of the people that make it happen. Are they perfect? No, they are not. Do I agree with every decsion they make? No, I do not. The question that matters is: Do they put forth an honest effort to create a cheat free environment and make an honest effort to be fair? I think the answer is "yes". I won't list the reasons why I think so, I'll just say I've been a part of this community for at least 18 months and I notice stuff. 101st has been a part of the UF community since the first Black tournament and the subsequent Tac Map tournaments. Got some real history here. The decisions on the VERY FEW disputes from wars has been about 50% for and against 101st. So is one decision against 101st an attempt to hold us down? No it's not. A decision has to be made. Any clan leader worth his salt would understand that, he or she has to make decisions for the benefit of their entire clan. The UF staff has to make decisions for the benefit of many clans in a way because they are running a tournamnet for many clans. In closing I just want to say that I am a skeptic. I look at everything with a fishy eye until I am satisfied that it's on the level. I'm satisfied that UF is on the level and that my clan will get a fair shake in UF. If clans would stick around long enough, they might find out the same thing, instead of leaving in a huff on the first decision that doesn't go their way.
