ROUND 2 Eliza Dushku vs Salma Hayek
101--BB--Xanthe replied to SEQUOYAH's topic in General Discussion
"From Dusk till Dawn" anyone? Salma... undeniably! -
anyone else beat single player on MW2.

The game recommended I start on Hardened... screw that I said. Took me about a a day and a half to beat on Veteran. Not going to lie... frustrating as hell at times! -

I agree with that. I guess I got my fill of sniping from the Spec Ops. The stealth missions on Veteran are a fucking blast. It's totally worth it getting sniped in the eyeball 20 times just so I can do it again. The Chernobyl one is fun as hell. Chernobly was EPIC... fun as hell! *Try lining up those 3 guards for a 3 for one bullet kill! -
Your place or mine tonight?

Lol Cow... yeah the PS3's 7th cell processor Sony won't even allow video game makers to have access to, so unless a mole from within leaks that info out, it simply won't be an easy task to crack it. We haven't been overly impressed with Sony as of late, but I do give them props for their attention to security detail. Game content is different, people will always seek "glitches" in a game, but this is still a level playing field because unless you live under a rock, we all find out about them or can search for them on the internet. Anyone can perform a glitch, it's simply having the knowledge about them that makes them possible. That's why we're part of an amazing community that does everything to prevent "glitches" and the such from our tournament gameplay.

Are you on Crack Cow? The PS3 is one of the most secure systems out there... While the PS3 is closed down like the gates at Fort Knox, hackers do occasionally find ways to breach the security of the system. Some hackers have tried to steal passwords, some have tried to destroy the PS3 due to their frustrations of failing, and others randomly do something stupid to make us all laugh. Sony finds out about these hacks, or “attempts†as it were, and immediately issue software updates to protect users like you and I. These updates help protect the PS3 from attacks and are required to access the PlayStation Network. When a PS3 logs into the PSN, it registers on the network with its firmware version. Having faulty firmware will get you banned from the PSN permanently and possibly trigger something to go wrong internally. Hacking the PS3 will also void your warranty and you will no longer be allowed to receive repairs. This final precaution is the 4th and final step Sony has taken to prevent the pirates from hacking your PS3. http://rhyannefranz.wordpress.com/2009/01/14/why-ps3-is-hard-to-hack/

Damn... I wonder how many of those players will jump to Sony's side of the street!

Un-friggin-believable Knife Kill
101--BB--Xanthe replied to IRISH BULL's topic in General Discussion
That was impressive, I want to believe it... but there's the "Who happens to record a match and gets lucky enough to get a kill like that" question I have going through my head. And on the final kill cam where everyone will conveniently get to have their remarks recorded. Almost too perfect... but then again, stranger things have happened! :-\ -
Compared to what were all used to in Socom, it's lightening fast!

Do Correctional Officers count?

I guess I'll state the obvious now...the joke makes sense when he's alive, not now after the guys dead. More than anything its simply a poorly timed post.
-
To each their own... like I said, it would be funnier before he passed, but after his death I feel it's simply overkill on the humor. I'll pray for all of you, as your apparently all going to hell!
-
This might be mildly humorous if Jackson was alive, but I see no need to trample on a mans grave after he's passed. I never had any love for the man when alive, but I recognized his undeniable talent as an artist and musician. Poor choice of humor IMO... :police:

Modern Warfare 2 Kill Streaks *** WARNING MP SPOILER ***
101--BB--Xanthe replied to IRISH BULL's topic in General Discussion
Very nice... though I doubt they'll be used much in a Urgent Fury tournament beyond 7 kills, and that's pushing it. Nice find regardless... -

more SOCOM 1.6 and DLC info coming tomorrow
101--BB--Xanthe replied to jamesy40's topic in Playstation
We rant and we rave... but I'm willing to bet most of us posting in this thread will at one point buy the DLC. I'm guessing sooner, rather than later. -
Glad and proud to see you make it through this difficult time Hannibal. We at 101st certainly had and continue to have you in our thoughts and prayers. Stay strong and keep up the good fight... you will be the better for it in the end. BB

Opeation Flashpoint 2 :Dragon Rising
101--BB--Xanthe replied to [SoW] Lucky_Saint-'s topic in General Discussion
Just not for me I guess. Never been into the "co-op" stuff and I guess thats where this game shines. Huh? Not into working with a team eh? lol Co-Op in general is fun. A team of real people vs. team of AI dumb asses. Those AI get smarter as you step up the difficulty. So far I have played through co op on normal and experienced now it's time to try the hard core. lol.. I started off on Hardcore and made it through my first 3 engagements unscathed. After that, one stray bullet caught me in the dome and I was restarting the first level again... since then it's been a uphill battle to get past the first engagement without one of my fireteam going down! Hella hard, but it has me coming back for more abuse! ;D -
I took a Defensive Knife course last year with my S.W.A.T. team and the Knife expert showed us this picture. The guy in the picture is a Police Officer, skilled in martial arts of some kind. He thought he could take a guy with a knife and obviously came up short. I said to the instructor at the time, "I think I'd rather take a bullet than go up against a knife"! The one thing I learned in the course was... If you are ever in a knife fight, count on getting cut, it will happen. The smart one though, knows how to defend against a blade and where it's "better" to get cut in that defence. :police: the real secret to knife fights is fighting with the opposite hand if they have thee knie in there right hand and they are facing you u face with the ur right hand if your parallel you fight with your left Only problem with that is, you probably won't see the blade if held by an experienced knife fighter. You have to always be aware that a person might have a blade on them. But most people aren't in this line of work and shouldn't have to worry about things like that.
