What!! You’re adding to a Goat post? That’s.. that’s.. well unheard-of !! Now I’ve seen everything. Inadub actually thinks something needs to be added to a goat post! Unbelievable.. Inconceivable… I’m flabbergasted! ROFL! Of course for this topic most of my post was just derived from providing possible fixes from others. The one fact I found was… this issue does exist, is a problem for more than a few and so far there isn’t any concrete definitive answer. Friend list too long? Maybe and maybe that’s why new accounts work? Everything I’ve found so far just has me feeling sympathetic towards those that are experiencing it. There seems to be no solid way or answer to fix it.

So the cache clear didn't work? that sucks.. still another find on a solution today.. one guy unchecked auto-sign in and signed in manually... re-entering his password.. (note* make sure you're guys actually KNOW their password before trying this) after he re-entered his password things worked.. again though this seems to be yet another solution that worked for someone and not others. Funny how new ID's don't have the problem? you would think that would be enough for them to figure out what is causing the issue?

This is for 900 miles away, but almost the exact same holds for every server from 50 miles on up. My download speed is also much faster but I have set the router to limit the download to a max of roughly twice my upload. I would love to have a 20/20 service.. my download can be up to 30 at times but since the upload max's at 6 I don't see where that is beneficial. for gamers when the upload and download are close to the same is when it works the best. For now there isn't that many providers that can give you this. I went in the back yard (my neighborhood cable box is in my yard) and hooked up to the MAIN node by-passing my neighbors.. I new the guy behind me was downloading porn and messing with my connection.. my speed really jumped up LOL J/K of course..

Could you post the suggestions and information in this thread? Not everyone who is having this problem is able to get in contact with Cow Thanks! Yeah sure… Ok Sony’s/Slant Six’s official (or at least what someone else said they said) response is that this it is caused by a mismatch of play list. this of course is a load of …. And worked for a very very few people. This series of steps seems to be the one that worked the most.. but again not for everyone. - Leave your clan - Delete your friends list - Delete the game data (not your saved game the other one) - Open your PSN browser Clear your History, authentication data, cache and cookies. - Sign off and then sign back on. - Re-Send friend invites or accept invites from friends. - Sign on to PSN through browser and link your ID to your PSN network Info - Start Socom which will reinstall game data and reinstall latest patch - Have your clan leader re-send clan invite - Accept invite - Everything should be working now. But some did all of this and it still wasn’t fixed.. also a few didn’t delete their friends list and did the rest and it worked. So who knows? Some also only deleted their browser authentication data, history, cache and cookies and then linked their ID signed on to the PSN network through their browser and after making sure their friends list was working there it now worked in Socom. Other attempts ran the whole gambit everything from reformatting to one guy who tossed his console out the third floor window of his apartment.. who stated his problem was fixed .. for good!! LOL Personal thoughts are .. why the hell does the majority of issues like this usually concern the cache in the browser? What the hell is Sony hiding in there that has them saying delete the cache as a solution to a number of issues?? Anyway, this is what I found from my research and reading up on the issue.. none of it is proven there is no exact fix.. Slant six claims to have fixed the issue a number of times in its patches.. as well as stating the next patch includes a fix for it.. so obviously they are aware of it yet don’t seem to know exactly what causes it nor how to really fix it. Cow I sent you a pm on what I found out on this issue.. you're not alone or your clan isn't even if other UF members aren't having the problem. They're quite a few outside of UF that are. What I found out for explanations and possible fixes don't work for everyone aren't proven and may not work even if others had luck with them. I did find out this issue as been around since the beta and /6 supposedly fixed it in the first patch.. then fixed it again in the next patch.. then fixed.. etc. etc.. Anyway let me know if any of your guys try some of the suggestions and if they worked or not. I'll keep researching to see if anyone has a tried and true fix. Hopefully /6 may finally post something that at least acknowledges and/or fixes the issue for good.

Talk about tactical!! holy tactics batman! I agree FPS only! that sucks.. and what about command recon.. I mean ok the officers get to coordinate on their own channel.. but since it appears they are trying to get as close to realistic battle scenarios.. then high ranking officers don't run around on the field. They issue orders from a command station and use communication and intel along with map details, GPS and Satellite reconnaissance. Knowing the field, access to maps and intel along with accurate tracking of troop movement is essential for effective battle planning and deployment... I don't see how looking at a area in front of you in First person view going only by radio chatter to keep track of troop movement will make implementing any coordinated attack plan effective. If the goal is to multiplayer large teams against one another within a command structure then I'm not sure how that will work? My guess is it won't and these 128 vs 128 modes will be nothing more than a cluster fuk. Still though its going to be fun finding out and it appears it all looks great on paper. If they manage to get it to work the way they are hoping it will.. this is going to be a blast. So far other attempts at this level of multiplayer game play hasn't been very successful. I hope it works since I'd love to play this game, but I'm not going to get too excited about it until I can actually play it.

Ps3 scenario... his ps3 froze while playing socom and he went to shoot the console but hit his friend who was getting up to press the power button on the back of the ps3. Wi scenario.. he was shot for being stupid enough to buy a Wi.

EA sucks they always have.. their servers suck even more. They should stick to sports game.. at least they aren't that bad. But for shooters get the hell out of the market.. and that's part of their problem their marketers. They always seem to be coming up with new ways to fool a few more bucks out of their customers.. I just pretty much stay away from EA. p.s. a Multiplayer gun or a toy.. well if it was neither and was a REAL machine gun with silencer. they would have my attention. I'd pre-order it.

then you may not have a problem? I'd still recommend highjackthis.. at least run highjackthis and paste your log file into their auto check on the first page of the site.. this will let you see exactly what things are getting loaded from you sys.ini file and give an indication of anything that is suspicious. You can do this yourself without any help or need to start a thread there are anything.. if something doesn't look right in the auto check on the log then you can go to the next step.
