  1. what get out of here ;D with photoshop even AOL dial up is fast! OK ok my real one's what's odd with mine is the further I go the better my upload gets? the download gets worst but only slightly.. Also with Business class after hours speeds get even faster for the download but the upload stays about the same.. 3-4 megs. even though my plan says 6 megs.. I've never gotten above a high 4.. I think they are ripping me off.. ???
  2. I voted CA, although I agree CA/3 is sort of the same thing. If you take CA along with all three map packs.. (map pack four is due to be released next year.. yeahh.. right! LOL) then it had the most maps. But CA for me mainly because of co-op. I like co-op, as a choice.. in a sort of “I’ve had enough of laggers and cheaters, I’ll go play some co-op for the hell of it†Truth be told Socom CA’s co-op was really lame.. as far as co-op’s go.. yet it seemed to fill my need regardless and give me some cheap fun. Why couldn’t they just upgrade CA or even Socom II, give it a new engine and re-code the graphics. Seems to me that would have been a lot easier then what they did, would have took far less time and work and would be something I would play.. hell the money they saved and new revenue they got could have been spent on their servers. Maybe that just makes too much sense? Yeah that must be it.

    Rogue Warrior????

Zombie did American's Army and Shadow ops.. both of which were so-so for game play, but their servers were tight.. no lag just shotty graphics.. Bethesada on the other hand has the best graphical games by far but they have no experience and no servers. I'd say this is a dayam good match up. both bring something to the table. Add in Marcinko!! ONE BAD ASS MOFO!! for game realism expertise and this game has got all the right pieces.. things like the AI for off line map practice, the host actually having some dayam control. co-op play with AI's that listen or can be replaced with other friends. The no rails like in COD that makes it play like you're just following some stupid script... Sheesh!! its like they have been listening to everything I've been asking for in every forum I post in.. I Think they owe me some dayam money!!! ;D ;D
  5. "I've only gotten to play socom 1.3 one night so far, so I'm not going to say anything yet. But some usability stuff aside, it was okay the night I played it. I think they need to do two things if they want people to keep playing:
  6. No need to see edit.. there is no Abner Rice.. @ gamefall.com or anywhere else for that matter. Curious though did that get posted at PSN forums..? besides the last sentence's sarcasm gave it away.. "After all, these people with their keyboards know better than us, don't they?" the dev's must love reading that... problem is when it comes to Socom they do know better.
  7. Is this a fricking joke? you got to be kidding me...

    mac or pc?

I don’t mind Mac’s they are really good for graphics and pro audio as well. However I prefer self built PC’s. For one you get a lot more bang for the bucks when you build it yourself. Another advantage is the wide range of cases to choose from, the ability to pick and choose exactly what peripherals you want such as DVD, RW’s , better video cards, how much ram, processor speed, hard drive size.. etc. etc.. Lastly and the most important reason for building one yourself is the clean installation of a OEM windows OS. Dell, Sony, Hp and other manufactures PC’s all come loaded full of pure crap. Tons of garbage software that slow done your PC, run in the background and cripple the PC’s performance. Clean OS installations give you exactly what you need and want without the trash. Without the pre-loaded junk, nor any recovery disk that only reloads the refuse when a problem occurs, clean installations from OEM Windows disk results in sound and stable machines. My main PC has been running straight for three years, never once has it become unstable. PC’s are the way to go for gaming, internet, word processing, finance and publishing. Mac’s for graphics and music. Although Photoshop, Illustrator, Macro-media Flash and Dream weaver all work just fine on a well built PC. Pro Tools and Digidesign Sound software for PC also work just as well as their counterparts on Mac. It's just a matter of what you are used to. I own both but the Mac is basically a paper weight, I have too much fun building and upgrading PC's to go full Mac. With Mac's you do indeed get what you pay for, unfortunately with Mac's what you get is what you are stuck with. With a PC if you don't like it, rebuild it.

Wow! did they just make the game of my dreams? March 2! I'm all in favor of just skipping February this year. LOL.

    Rogue Warrior????

Totally agreed.. at the least with heavy hitters like Bethesda and Zombie entering the shooter genre.. Slant Six had better get their Schit together!! real soon.. look out there's a new kid on the block.

    Rogue Warrior????

Wow, that looks verrrrry interesting. While both Oblivion and Fallout were graphically outstanding. Bethesda is not without its problems.. With Oblivion there was a horde of issues, lots of glitches and game hiccups. Bethesda was slow and not helpful with patches or fixes.. Stating things like. “we have moved on and won’t be supporting Oblivion anymore†! excuse me! when did you support it in the first place.. making add-on’s to sell isn’t support, your game is still being sold.. wtf do you mean you won’t support it anymore!! You’re still making money aren’t you? For Fallout I lost count of how many places in the world you could get stuck between a rock and a hard place.. Literally… the character often times just got stuck, can’t jump out can’t run or crawl out, can’t fast travel because you’re inside.. only thing to do is reload a prior save. This happened much to often in Fallout. Lastly Bethesada’s games have been PC based mostly, Oblivion and Fallout both could be console command controlled to get by things, this allowing mods to be made by the gamers that played them on the PC. Neither game was multiplayer nor online community or co-op.. Now they are making a console only, online shooter, multiplayer, co-op. It’s sort of like Harley Davidson saying they are now going to be making pick up trucks? All said I’ll probably be giving it a try.. but I’m not that confident it won’t be without problems.
  12. Ahhhhhh the old "Pixel Collision Detection" issue. I believe some smart @ss.. or at least a coon @ss? did a rather lengthy report on the inherent problem with not just Socom but most every online shooter game. Ping me up Scottie Post #1 and #33 quite a while back. I have more to say on it but that would require a Goat post so I’ll save it for now.. LOL.
  13. Nope, not in my book. I'd pay to play in a heartbeat if that meant perfect game play +2
  14. I'll see if I can't get the boy to give Street's dad a hand he can spin the big wheel while my employee spins the little one.. Last time I tried it though they were spinning them in opposite directions? Everybody got booted.. this time I'm taping some arrows on the wheels so I think its going to work? I ain't making no promise though.. I'm also upgrading the ram with another stick of 2 kilobytes, that will get it up to a full 8 kilobytes of ram. Have patience we’re upgrading the wiring as well, I’ve already started, it should be a breeze.. I have one of my top tech’s working on the microphone problems as well.. Once its all re-wired it’s going to be mega fast… but it may take a while? Now that da Goat has the Socom servers in his basement don’t worry I’ll have this puppy up and running I guarantee it..
  15. No that's not me.. that's you're dad.. remember I hired him last year to.. spin the big wheel. when he gets tired that when Socom gets laggy.. sorry bout that guys.
  16. I think I know the problem..... I found a picture of the Socom Server.
  17. A Rick Roll Link.. Nice.. NOT! these have been done here before and again.. its not cool. Say goodbye to your post I don't care if it gets me in trouble or not.
  18. Well i would shoot for getting a decent reciever.. HK, Onkyo, Yamaha, Denon, etc.. and a decent set of bookcase speakers,... Klipish, DefTech, etc... at least you would have stereo sound.. the next purchase would be the Sub woofer.. here you don't have to get crazy like a BabyBoomer or something a MTX-Sub10 or any good sub with a 10" driver and is downward firing would be good. Next a great set of towers or bigger front speakers and then switch the smaller ones to use as the rears... For now use the TV's speakers as your center channel. The last purchase would be the Center speaker.. if you going to use the system for surround sound...65% of the sound will come through the center so spend the extra money here. In this way you build it $300 or so at a time.. and spread the grand or so out... when its all said and done you have a kick ass surround system you can enjoy for years.. It's a better option then the "system in a box" but it means you have to wait a bit before its all done.. however by doing it in the right order you can still enjoy what you can afford for now with each step getting better and better sound.
  19. LOL! I heard that shout out all the way up here in the frozen tundra.. Not to sound condescending, really in this day money for most everyone is in short supply. But at 3-5 bills your options are limited. Besides the option of building a system a component at a time. I.e. get a good receiver.. then the speakers, sub, etc. over time. The best bargains are what is referred to as “Home Audio(or Home Theater) system in a box†So you could go with Onkyo or Panasonic or Sony or a horde of others in that price range.. although these three are my top choices... I’d stay away from brands like Jwin, or Coby.. Samsung’s aren’t that bad but with Sammy’s their guarantee program is less than desirable.. as long as they don’t go faulty you’re fine though. For cables don’t believe the Monster Cable hype, Any decent mid priced interconnect will be just fine. I'd stay away from wireless speakers for any use... the added money for wireless can be spent getting better wired speakers.
  20. Yo yo yo.. This website is garbage It belongs in a trash can Its utter rubbish And I’m the garbage man. So I’ll spam, that’s my plan And now I’m handed the ban UF doesn’t like my clan And so I’ll spam spam spam. I can’t help it if I have no attention span I have nothing to say Other than… I’m the man with wit I got my maryann I just take another hit And spam spam spam From Kazakhstan, to Sudan From Japan to Catamaran I’m like the Klueless Klan I’ll send my spam by Delivery Van This site is Garbage And I’m the Garbage man. Green eggs and ham.
  21. Actually the ports are.. TCP 80 TCP 443 TCP 5223 TCP/UDP 10070-10080 UDP 3478-3479 UDP 3658 TCP/UDP 50000-65535 TCP 25 TCP/UDP 6000-7000 Or you could just DMZ it, all of this however can only be done if you set a static IP on the Ps3 that is out of the DCHP range of the router. Also if your router has QoS (quality of service) then you should set the IP of the Ps3 (the static one you gave it) to have the best Quality of service or the priority device for bandwidth. Lastly the Linksys WRT54G is by the far the best Router ever made for gaming.. Linksys (for the WRT54G only versions 4-6) did a bold thing and made the firmware “OPEN source†which means if you have one of these there are a couple of kick ass firmwares from third parties that cater to online gaming.. they basically turn your residential router into a business class high dollar band hogging big business router… which is very very cool for the gamer.
  22. Will there be rafting? you know because I'm afraid of the water.. well not really the water, or the raft.. just rafts in water with huge gay men.. that scares the schit out of me..

Woooaaah wooahh woooahhh Gloom despair and agony on me Deep dark depression excessive misery If it weren’t for Socom I’d have no life at all Gloom despair and agony on me. I jumped in a game every thing looked right. But I could not move my character could not join the fight Then my console crashed what an awful fright Cried myself to sleep, wasted the whole night Critical error was all it let me see Reinstall system software? No this cannot be! I’d play on Xbox but forgot to pay my fee Gloom despair and agony on me Shipped off to Sony went my Ps3 Socrack withdrawals will not let me be. Xbox doesn’t cut it and neither does the Wii Gloom Despair and agony on me. Woooaaah wooahh woooahhh
