oops, Mark Spitz. Wow that was a first thing in the morning post lol Mark Spitz was the swimmer who currently holds the records for most golds in one olympic, right? 7? He was whining they didn't invite him to see Phelps break his record, and some of his speed records. He also said that they've since added one event that wasn't there in his day, and that he would have won that one too...so he kinda belittled Phelps. Then, he turns around and says that he sees why Phelps is so dominant and keeps winning and breaking records...his reason: Phelps reminds Spitz of himself lol wiki: Criticism of 2008 Summer Olympics According to a report released by Agence France Presse (AFP) wire service, Spitz felt snubbed about not being asked to attend the 2008 Olympics to watch current swimming great, Michael Phelps, attempt to break his record of 7 gold medals. And Spitz thinks Phelps will succeed, "he's almost identical to me. He's a world-record holder in all these events, so he is dominating the events just like I did," Spitz said. "He reminds me of myself."[11]

I had a long reply, listing why I tend to make fun of people that spit rhetoric and propaganda slogans, why we should be appreciative of the French...but, its just not worth it. All I'll say is go do your research. I could, as a history, english, and literature education trip major, spout off a ton of facts and figures...but closed minds breed ignorance. I can't change the world. The French did, which is a good thing...cause saying God save the queen is annoying
