Video game consoles consume a "staggeringly high" amount of energy, according to a report the Natural Resources Defense Council is releasing on Wednesday. How much electricity do they use each year? About as much as it takes to power the city of San Diego. There's plenty of room for improvement. We can cut our nation's electricity bill by more than $1 billion and avoid 7 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year, according to the report. How much can you personally save? Depends on what brand you choose. The Sony Playstation 3 and Microsofts Xbox 360 use as much as nine times more energy than the Nintendo Wii. Habits play a crucial role as well. The systems use nearly the same amount of power when they are turned on and idle as they do when you are actively playing a game or watching a movie. If left on continuously, the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 will consume the same amount of energy as two new refrigerators over the course of a year. Here's how the three major brands stack up against each other:

So wait.. i didn't know that about downloading your discs to HD..!? So you dont need the disc to play..? I'm gonna be all over that shyt.! I'm about to set up my netflix account right now. ;D You gotta love, when it comes out on time & works from release.

Yea the avatars are pretty painless.. lol My only complaint is the view before you click into something.. like looking at your friends in the multi-page view is kind of annoying, but you just have to click on friends.. i guess it wasn't meant to view frinds in that view. ;D Everything seems to work perfectly, & the download took all of 30 seconds. lol My only other complaint is the Xboxlive leaderboard on Gamelobby is fuked up for a few days, i guess until everyone makes the switch. lol

Plan on it..!! We are putting together a new tourney for x360, but have not ironed out all the details yet. (no time frame as of yet) Also trying to decide if CoD:WaW is the right game to utilize. I think CoD4 & GoW2 are in the spotlight also.

YES you need to match the sticks to each other.. is what i think he meant. you cant have two different brands, or sizes. The sticks of RAM need to be exactly the same as each other.. (unless you have four slots than 2 & 2 need to be indentical) Also it depends on how much RAM the machine is capable of.. I would guess it is capable of 2gb, but you never know. just because there are 4 slots doesn't mean you can throw four 2gb sticks in it, & get 8gb of RAM. Irish since you have two slots, i would get two 1gb sticks to give you a total of 2gb of RAM. just need to double check what you have in there, or get a make/model number of the motherboard. at3Dave.. I dont want to say i dont believe you, but i've never heard of a motherboard taking any kind of RAM sticks. If it is DDR then you have to replace it with DDR, if it is DDR2, then DDR2, etc, etc.. (but i am no professional, i was just always told that) PS. NEVER buy an eMachine.!!

I think most of you are missing the point.. n00b t00bs, perks, spawn campers & glitches have nothing to do with what Tow is asking. Since none of that would be in a real match. (UF War) Think about it this way.. How would it be to play a private match with no t00bs, no glitchers, no respawn, & health meter on hardcore.!? (Different game types..)

You can buy parts for it outside of dell. but depending on your system it may be easier. He said PC, so im guessing it is a desktop. It really does depend on what you have & what they are talking about.. Mg isn't the correct term (im guessing) as shark said, it is probably 1024mb which is 1 Gigabyte. Adding a gig of ram would help, but maybe not enough.. You may want to add more, but that will depend on the motherboard, & if it is capable of it, some only allow a limited amount (also, you probably have DDR which is out dated, so you may want to rethink what you are doing altogether) A new PC or hardware upgrades might be a better idea.!

Not to mention the invite sytem.. what a joke.!? You have to lag thru your list to send the invites, then if you need to accept an invite you have to back out (all the way out) go to messages, then check the msg, than accept the invite, then back out to go into the servers, then pick a channel, then hit join game. WTF.!? Who thought of this process..? Dont get me wrong i love playing with all of my current clanmates & friends along with TONS of old clanmates & friends. Its the only reason i play Socom, the game play is still quite frustrating. (its just not smooth) Good thing we are doing Crucibles, & whatever else comes along.!!

I hear ya' & know what you mean, but i think the new eval tourney could just be smaller. Maybe only 12 clans total.!? I have no idea about the details, im just guessing that it has been thought out already. ;D

People move.. someday you might move too. Does it say somewhere that you have to live in the city they are a fan of..? What about the players.. Cant you be a fan of a player.? (they switch teams/city's all the time) That shit is just ignorant. People who have been fans of YOUR team longer than you have been alive might live on the opposite side of the world, but YOU say they make you mad..!!?? (also.. you SERIOUSLY watched the Celtics when you we're 11..? ) Man Do I know those feelings. Look at me.. I've been a cowboy for 20 years.
