I have been using Simple Center, really only because it is the only one that will run on Server 2003. I have not had any issues with it.

What were you using for your media server?

For you financial experts. Is the Chinese dollar valued on the global market yet? I remember a few years back they were saying it is in the process of being valued. I don't know if that is the right term but basically I am asking what the exchange rate for the Chinese dollar to the pound or dollar.

No. Seth said earlier they took it out because people with poor connections were seeing the red x. My connection is no where near poor but yet I was seeing the red x. My last post was more sarcasm then anything.

Notice the comments about the LATENCY test? Now it is not OUR POOR connections. ;D

Back in 2001 or 2 my manager was saying the way things are going the US will no longer have a middle class. With all the outsourcing to 3rd world countries there will be no jobs for the middle class. He then brought up that there will be more crime with the fact that people will not be able to feed their family and so on. I am lucky to have a job that pays well. Unfortunately 1/3 or more goes to the EX. I don't have a problem with paying Child Support BUT I do have a problem when I am paying their mortgage. It is going to hit the fan, for some VERY hard. I just hope that the business I am in stays on track because we are seeing growth.

The beta is frustrating and for the non Socom players that they were trying to bring in might be throwing in the towel and saying no thanks.

For YOU. On the 360 we had a bunch of patches as well as playlist updates and weekly double xp weekends. If a game is multiplatform, you can bet your money that the 360 version will get all of their attention considering that they had a team of developers for EACH platform they should have supported the PS3 more then what they did.

The fact that they didn't support their product past 1 patch I will not buy another IW product.

This issue causes 4-7 minute (or longer) load times when late joining a game. Removed the latency detection network test which was causing some users with poor network connections to receive the network latency icon (red X). Fixed an issue where clients with different client versions (patches) could play together in a default medley game. Fixed many join game issues and made joining a game quicker. We are still optimizing this. That is my point. It is not our connection but he states that it is our poor connections. At least a tracert gives you some information as opposed to a ping test.

I personally have mine in the DMZ and still see issues that others see. We can assume that /6 are using the same ports as previous Socom but since they haven't announced anything we are really guessing. UPnP Should work BUT with the PS3 some people have reported issues. I have Media Server and UPnP enabled and have not had any issues that these people are reporting. The ONLY UPnP created in my router for my PS3 is a port for COD4, Demonware 3082(I think). None have been created for Socom and here is the kicker, UPnP created the rule even with my PS3 in the DMZ. Macs are good BUT the majority of business use PC's for a reason. A lot of business Apps are developed for PC not MAC. Yes you can get office on the MAC but then have to make sure anyone you share the files with either have the conversion software installed if they have a PC or they have the current version on MAC. The reason you used a MAC at school is because of the Audio/Video capabilities of the MAC. They have always been regarded better for graphics and audio. But you don't need those in a business environment do you?

Well if she is traveling a lot take a look at DELL. They have some warranty options that others don't offer such as if you drop it and something happens it is covered. Sony is more media featured so you may want to forget that option.

Well this is how it use to be with HP Comaq. You would compare the 2 and think you were getting a deal with one, it would have more RAM or something like that but what they use to do was have really cheap RAM but a descent Motherboard or HDD and so on. They would have half the equipment good quality but to lower cost they would have half cheap equipment. Now with Sony I never saw that practice. Also if you think the RAM is cheap or something like that there are things you can upgrade with quality that isn't that expensive anymore. If you can layout the specs here and the price so we can give you a better answer. AND Compaq use to have their BIOS on a small partition on the HDD so if your HDD failed you couldn't go out and just get a new one, you had to buy theirs and it wasn't cheap.

Personally I think Over There would have been pretty good but how long could it have gone. The wife really liked John Doe, it was good but they way they canceled it and left it was pretty bad. I was the lab manager in a Design for Manufacturing lab and Research and Development dept at Andrew Corp. That weekend we were going to the State championships and my and my team were emailing each other when one of the guys emailed that a plane went in to the first building. We were all asking what he was talking about. Remember I was in a lab that was protected because we had high end equipment that needed to be protected so no radio signals got in. The VP of operations came in and sent everyone home shortly after. We went down to worlds in Panama City the weekend the airports reopened. I remember all the military with the M16's at the airports and them searching our car. It was nuts but I had no problem with it, they did what they had to do.

I would counter with how many years BEFORE 9/11 was there a successful attack? I ask because I honestly do not know. The original bombing in the parking garage of the towers was in 93? The attack on the Cole, don't know the year of the top of my head. There were some US Embassy bombings. Obviously nothing as significant as 911 but none the less they were attacks against the US.
