Home field advantage switched every year which fucked over the A's in '85, '86 and '87. They made the World Series every year but only won in '86 because thats the only year they had home field advantage. [/quote'] Yes it should go by record, wtf!?! Basketball does it, Hockey does it and it makes sense.... It didn't make sense before interleague play because you had no like competition but now that they do it should definitely be by record. It like this: lets say Tampa squeaks in as the wild card this year with something like 90 wins, then they make to the World series against a 100 win Cubs team, Tampa would get home field advantage because of this silly exhibition game. I know this is an old argument, but I think every year it becomes more annoying, especially around this time. thats stupid, they should have a rock paper scissors for it. Don't start a pyramid again... lol
