  1. I was teaching her how to construct an actual English sentence as if she really were over the age of eight.
  2. Awww....that's too bad. Good run none-the-less, and I'm sure the exposure on television may open up SOME things for her. Ah well.....there goes my chances of going down in history saying I taught one of America's Top Models! LOL
  3. You have such fine qualities for a human being.
  4. You won't be able to participate. Sorry, FunkyRooster.....but it's part of the pain of being Staff. ;D
  5. Stay tuned for a new Urgent Frequency Podcast this Sunday as Commander Fury will be unveiling a new contest here in the UF Community through the month of December. And might I say.....the WINNER (just one) of this contest will have a prize unlike anything we've ever offered in a contest before. It.....is......COOL. Sunday. Be there. - TOW
  6. HOLY HELL!
  7. Give it to xBox to fuck up my legacy. LOL
  8. We're doing it to maximize the entertainment and involvement level of EVERYONE. By running two at the same time, things get accomplished: 1: As UF gets more known and popular, so too does it become potentially harder for clans to find the chance to get INVITED into a tourney. If you have, say, COU getting invited into BOTH tourneys that run at varying times, that's one spot taken away from a potential new clan trying to establish itself. 2: By running CoD4 and Socom tourneys at the same time, we're making it easier for a clan to get their men together to participate in a tourney, whichever one they choose to throw their hat into. Of course, by the time sign-ups roll around, throwing your hat into BOTH maximizes your chance of getting invited in at LEAST one of them.....if not both, depending on the caliber of clans that apply. We're confident in the move made here being the right one. By running one tourney at a time, we're freezing out the "other half," and we're not trying to do that at this time. In order to keep the excitement level of UF at a constant, the excitement needs to be spread around as much as possible. We'll be doing this WITHOUT sacrificing quality in ANY of them. We now have the Staff to ensure this.
  9. Welcome back to the UF Community, Kurtz. I'm glad we were able to reach an amicable agreement on things, and we'll see where we go from there. The past will always be remembered, and sometimes that good and sometimes its bad, but as you said, we can try to LEARN from the past. We hope you enjoy and make the most of your return, and I hope your new guys enjoy what they have yet not experienced here in Urgent Fury. Coming back, OGC isn't holding its veteran status as it once did for many tours here in UF......but with some good focus and support/dedication, we hope you'll reach that point once again. - TOW
  10. LOL.....let me show you my map of love.
  11. Now I don't have to fail her.
  12. .......................but I'm not gay. I mean, that thing back in college was because I was drunk and he was high and the electricity was out....... ....................but I'm not gay.
  13. Good luck to the Black III clans! Sniper and I, though detached from Black as 6ravity runs that for us, are always eager to see who the winner will be. Good luck to all in the first round. And as always here in UF......win with honor, lose with dignity! Win or lose....feel good....you're in the COOLEST Socom community anywhere.
  14. The way we're seeing the climate of clans lately, enough clans are going through the "struggle" of half a clan going into CoD4 with their PS3s and the other half of the clan playing Socom with their PS2s. We're going to try and accommodate everyone here. With the next installment of Socom pushed back, we feel that we can continue ONE more exciting tacmap tourney for Socom. To ease some of the stress and work, we're going to run both the CoD4 and Socom versions at the same time. This way, one half of the clan won't get bored while the other half plays through a UF tourney. We're not THAT cruel.
  15. It's a racist thing.
  16. Sniper and I decided yesterday that, with the release of the news that the next Socom installment will be pushed back to an undetermined time in 2008 (USUALLY meaning "late," because if it was early 2008, then a date would be produced), Sniper and I are going to roll out another tacmap tourney for Socom: CA. Currently, UF: BLACK III is entering into its playoff stages. This will end shortly with a winner announced. After that, UF will run another installment of Black, UF: BLACK IV. Again, as an evaluation tourney, we encourage all those here to entice some of your friendly clans you play with to visit and enter into this community of tourneys. UF BLACK IV will start in the 1st or 2nd week of JANUARY, with sign-ups going up near the end of December. When UF: BLACK IV runs its course, Urgent Fury will roll out the next installment of Socom tacmap tourneys, and that will be UF: RA (yes, we are still just releasing the initials of the installment). ****AND, we would like it known that at the time that we roll out UF: RA for SOCOM, we will also roll out UF: RA for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare as well! That's right! We're running TWO tacmap tourneys for TWO games at the SAME time! And no worries, as you should well-know that quality in our tourneys will NOT suffer running two at once. That's why we have an extended staff now. Soooo.....there you go, UFreaks! Hope some of this news tickles you in the dark places and we'll keep updating you as we can! - TOW
  17. Gorilla Gamer had approached UF in a bid for partnership with UF carrying their mechanics and logo here. I'm not entirely sure as to the percentage, as I had BELIEVED that it was well-documented on the show/video, but I could be mistaken.
  18. You have to hit the icon at the bottom that says "Enter the Challenge Room," not the main image at the top.
  19. Quiet Riot singer found dead in Las Vegas 11/26/2007 7:39 PM, Reuters Dan Whitcomb Kevin DuBrow, lead singer of the popular 1980s U.S. heavy metal band Quiet Riot, has been found dead from unknown causes at his home in Las Vegas, authorities said on Monday. The body of DuBrow, 52, was discovered on Sunday afternoon, a spokeswoman for the Clark County Coroner's Office said. An autopsy conducted on Monday was inconclusive and more forensic tests were scheduled to establish a cause of death, she said. Police confirmed that DuBrow's body was found at his home after they were summoned by friends and neighbors who could not find the rocker. A Las Vegas police spokeswoman declined to say whether there were signs of foul play or violence. "I can't even find the words to say," Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali said on his Web site. "Please respect my privacy as I mourn the passing and honor the memory of my dearest friend, Kevin DuBrow." Founded in Los Angeles in the mid-1970s, Quiet Riot shot to the top of the Billboard charts with their 1983 album "Metal Health." It sold more than 6 million copies and is considered by many to be the first heavy metal record to top the pop charts. The album's sales were spurred by the quartet's monster hit "Cum on Feel the Noize," featuring DuBrow's powerhouse vocals, and the song's video, which was played in heavy rotation on MTV. Quiet Riot's subsequent albums did not sell nearly as well and DuBrow was essentially fired from the band amid the ensuing rancor. DuBrow regrouped Quiet Riot in the 1990s and the band has played sporadically, last releasing an album in October 2006. Reuters/Nielsen
  20. We'd like to take this opportunity to ask those here in the UF community..... .....has anyone here taken advantage of the Gorilla Gamer game challenge fixture we had added to the UF website? For those not immediately in the know, here is the direct link: http://www.urgentfury.com/challenge/ If you HAVE used it, what was your experience with it? If you have NOT used it, aside from not knowing about it......why? If you had not known it was there prior to this message, will you be trying it out now? Thank you - TOW
  21. He means they need to change it to where the Broncos defense steps up to the plate in OT.
  22. I like a good Riesling. However, I DID just crack open a new chardonnay this weekend with a little hippo sitting on the label called "Fat Bastard" Chardonnay. It was DELICIOUS. Give it a try. Not too dry...a little bold......and the ladies love the adorable fat hippo who's ass is pushing the label down the bottle.
  23. Well if YOU saw it.....then what's YOUR take on it? I was discounting it as cheese until someone told me otherwise. It just has all the trappings of a bad movie from what I've seen, so was relying on other testimonials.
