Yea sorry bout that Steet.. after witnessing the most idiotic call I've ever seen by a pro football head coach last Sunday with the Saints vs Tampa Bay game. (a game the Saints had clearly won and decided to toss the ball up in the air on a trick lateral that was totally unnecessary since the Bucs were out of time outs and just running off the clock was all that was left to do!} I was so disgusted even now, a week later I can't even bring myself to watching more football so I watched the SciFi channel today instead! LOL. Since I'm no anti football I'm free to rag on every team! Ha! But okay the Pat's look good, yes they do.. and truth be told I think it's a XXXI repeat with the Pat's vs The Packers.. heck I was at that game since I was still working for Fox Sports at the time.. and I was at XXXVI as well when the Pat's beat the Rams. That's not necessary Scofield, playing here at UF is and will always be a choice a clan makes: if a clan's choice is not to participate here than there isn't any need to cast dispersions as to their reasons. It’s all good skipper, quite honestly you were one of the most level headed and well meaning members of your clan to post here. I’m not sure why the “burn the bridge†mentality however. Signing up for more tournaments here is always a choice any clan here is free to make. No real reason to say anything about it. JyK could have always just taken a break from UF any time they feel like it. Everything changes: Who knows when you guys may feel like giving it another go. It doesn’t have to be a “we quit forever†thing, signing up just like receiving an invitation is always up in the air. You never know. Last thought on this is, sure JyK had a rough start, middle and hell ending. LOL. But I gotta give you guys props for hanging in there, dealing with all the adversity and making some effort to “fit in†(as you put it). Hell you guys dealt with a lot and pulled off a championship. Nothing to be sorry for about it. If you ask me I just think your guys tended to take things a little too personal, sure there are rules here and very little patience for those that break them. And if the Tow/King wars had something to do with this, just know that for the most part a lot of it was seen as just good humor and not as serious as you may have believed. The father of a good friend of mine use to give me crap all the time, for a long time I though he didn’t like me at all, my friend told me I was wrong, he said.. “well just because he gives you crap don’t take it the wrong wayâ€, “if he hated you, he wouldn’t even bother talking to you†. So if it seemed you were getting too much grief, well at least for the most part folks thought enough about JyK to say anything in the first place. Just a different way to look at things. At any rate, UF is amidst an ever changing gamers world, things evolve and UF continues to adapt to the changes that occur. Who knows maybe one day they will finally make a game where the need for additional rules becomes unnecessary. Fairness and honor are instilled within the game itself, hell if they ever manage to do that, the top ten on the games leader board will actually garner admiration instead of scorn. Until then UF is forging ahead and for those that are compelled to follow a code of honor in online gaming UF will continue to provide a avenue to do so. Best of luck to you skipper and to clan JyK. There is a lot of speculation it seems on the rules set.. I’m sure Tow has looked at all of the possibilities as the entire Staff have been going through a lot of what may work or not. At this point I’m just as clueless as to every one else as to what the final make up of the rules will be. I do have some opinions however, First I think Friendly fire is almost a must. It’s just as a community it seems to be more the way we prefer to play the games we play. Secondly respawning while for some game modes is not something again we prefer however with COD some consideration should be giving as to what game mode is being played. Headquarters for example without respawn is just dumb, since the holding team gets respawn taking away as a result of holding the headquarters. Might mean Headquarters may not be a mode to consider? Other issues I see here like limiting no GL on weapons.. well for that I disagree.. this isn’t Socom, for a low level player the GL is the only perk that gives them any chance, you can’t say yes we have perks and give one player the opportunity to have bullet penetration, Higher accuracy, a scope etc.. and then tell the other player they can have a M16 with no scope and they better not use a GL either.. Nope if its perks on then limiting any type of weapon choice as I see it should not be a rule. If we are going to start making rules on gun choices than make it no perks for everybody otherwise your penalizing low ranks even more than they already are. These are just my opinions and yes I’ve let Tow and Sniper as well as the staff know them, however the final decision is in Tow’s hands and I’m sure he will give everybody’s input consideration since I know he appreciates seeing what everybody’s view is on this. So don’t hesitate to give an opinion if you have one. Also keep in mind even after Tow gives us the final choices, we will still sort of be evaluating things as this all plays out. Rules aren’t written in stone and if we see something that simply doesn’t fit then I’m sure for future installments considerations of changes can be made. Anyway, I’m excited and glad the rules will be given far enough in advanced to start practicing things as we are going to try to do it for the first tournament. COD should be a lot of fun and so far looks to be fitting into the Urgent Fury way of things. Just remember if you notice a problem than by all means speak up but don’t get mad about it ,we are all just looking for the best way to do things, suggestions are always welcomed.

Well I think it’s commendable if the purpose of the list was meant as a way to know which clans did not approve of a method such as quick sniping. Also if you were saying you won over other clans that also used the method than that’s cool as long as everyone agreed to use it than at least it’s an even use of an exploit. Here however, and we realize it’s just a game, but the general consensus is that if it’s highly impossible to achieve in a real life scenario than it’s acceptance is disapproved. For example, with quick sniping,, First Jump quick sniping.. ok it’s plain idiotic .. since it’s sort of a joke that anyone could manage to pull it off with a real rifle. As for as quick sniping itself, although not entirely impossible, it’s just not how things are done. Ask a real US army or Marine sniper and they would laugh at you… sniping is anything BUT quick. Even after the time it takes to position yourself, wait for the target, calibrate the factors such as wind and range and get a clear shot.. before you pull the trigger.. hold on! Call it in!! and wait for the confirmation.. Not exactly anything quick about it. I’m not saying Socom should be held to real life scenarios but it was clear that by fast scoping with a quick shot the game was glitched to award hits that were not always on target. Therefore it’s use was banned. But aside from all that, I will give you a welcome here. With just one word of advice, COD4 is new and although game glitches have yet to be identified it is highly unlikely that none will surface. When they do, if your intent is to play as a member of UF’s community then we will expect your clan to adhere to any rule that prohibits the use of a proven glitch to a game we are conducting a tournament in. Otherwise I see no reason why you shouldn’t be given the opportunity to prove your honor. Welcome to UF. Goat.

No I haven't, I did stop in a local off road sports store and was admiring the hell out of one of them new Polaris RZR's Man that thing looked fun as all get out! and some nice safety features like a roll bar, cross over seat belts etc. which would make me more comfortable riding the kids along. Hmmm thanks for the suggestion.. I wonder if they have hand warmers and a heater on those? p.s. Edit.. Oh and growing up in Louisiana and Texas I've hunted all my life. But a few years back went strictly to Bow hunting. My father has a lease down in Braketville, TX. Two years ago I went bow hunting for Javelina. That was exciting as hell! nothing like shooting a wild pig with a bow from ten yards away.. my heart was beating out of my chest! I'm looking at maybe doing some Bear up in Canada next season. I think I'll pack a side arm along with me though.. you know just in case!! LOL. Hey smoke if your ever want to give a try at a Javelina, let me know. Sure there's Deer on the lease too but they no longer interest me that much.

Yea I got the snowmobiles.. up at the cabin in the garage.. I used to ride em around town.. but too many folks die every year on em., so I put em up at the cabin but I don't get there much in the winter, maybe three or four times. To tell ya the truth I hate winter sports.. I'm a southern boy, Water ski, Surfboarding, Wake boarding, Water volleyball, etc.. I remember the first time I tried snow skiing, I took one look at the ski's and asked "where's the rudder?" on the first lesson the guy tried to tell me to point my toe's together and make a "V" to stop.. I told him bullshit! I ain't doing that! LOL. Wished I was still in South Padre Island but MN is my home now, the wife likes it here, the schools are really good, and I've got an established company in the area, I'm pretty much stuck here I'd say. OH well looks like the snow is coming they just said 10-12 inches this weekend. Can't complain it's almost Dec. and it's the first big storm. For me I just do Martial arts in the winter, keeps me in shape and gives me something to do with the boy. p.s. I garaged and put the cover on the Vette today. Seeya next spring gal.. Three miles a gallon! yep that sounds about right.. owning a boat is like owning a horse,, you gotta feed em.

Holy Xbox batman!! Schit I got my ass handed to me! ok (and da hell with you too long a post guys!!) LOL.. You can always not read my long review nobody says you have to... maybe you can wait for the movie to come out.... First night first try with COD4 xbox. While the controls are somewhat similar, the major difference is the fire button on the bottom instead of the top.. the top button throws a grenade.. Did I throw grenades when I was trying to fire!!! HELL YES! allot!! Did I fire when trying to toss a grenade?? Hell yes!! great I was behind the guy and had a easy grenade kill but instead I just fire a full clip into the air!! hmm wonder if he now knows I'm here... yep! he knows cause he just put a bullet in my dome!! LOL.. Another difference is the way in which you choose your C4.. the D pad was the same.. but I'm used to just hitting D right tossing the pack and firing it with the R1 on the box you first use L2 to toss it than fire it with R2 when you have the detonator.. well so there I am with the detonator but of course I hit the the R1 to fire it which throws a grenade.. than trying to think fast I hit the the L1 which throws a flash.. Now blinded by my own hand I try to hide and clear my eyes.. finally I can see again and there's a enemy right there in front of me!! and he doesn't even see me!! Yippee Fire that C4 goat!! R2 now remember.. yep R2 it is.. click click click .. oh shit I still haven't thrown the C4.. DAMM!! it must be L2! doesn't matter anyway since I'm now dead!! LOL. Another thing is on the Ps3 you can quit detonate the C4 by double tapping the square bottom.. this works really well since there isn't no need to cook it like a grenade you can toss the C4 and detonate it immediately... but I'm not sure which button if any does this on the box version. I will have to get used to the hair trigger on the box controller.. I'm used to using just one finger to hit either R1 or R2 but for the box it works best if you use the index finger for the R1 and the middle finger for the R2. However, my problem is I must have a heavy middle finger since several times I spawned and found myself firing right away without intending to. Errr this isn't good.. especially if a team mate just happens to be right in front of you when you spawn!! hmmm sorry bout that Rooster... at least I now know my guns works.. my bad.. LOL Add to all this, I didn't even know how to navigate the box's lobby control and message center... and on the one occasion I got a UV perk for kills, I wasn't able to figure out how to call it in and instead of doing so I put my night goggles on in broad daylightl.. Crazy!! it's like psychedelic man!! Compound all of this with a private level 1 no perks player going against a team of level 40's and above most of which were elite and the result was complete disaster! I scored the lowest score I ever had ever in this game.. -10 and was ready to quit, set up a private LAN game and work on figuring out the controls when I was talked into one more game... I didn't think I could do worst than -10 but I managed to do it by 5x and my -50 score was a sure sign I was not ready for the box version. I signed off, went to the PS3 and went on a 17 kills 8 assist 1 death killing spree.. Ahhhh I needed that! whew... LAMO! anyway, ok it's the same game, and yes the controls are not quite the same but with some practice I will get used to them.. all in all, the box's lobby was much better, having the ability to text message was a blessing. The mikes worked really well even with my cheesy (came with the system) headset. And lastly, an hour of play and an hour more of LAN and some navigating the barracks and one last free for all everyone against everyone against more closely matched players after some practice with the controller and I was much improved and got an even amount of kills and deaths.. yet still tossed an unexpected grenade every now and than.. Mostly on those surprise!! come around the corner there's an enemy!! Quick! fire.. err no die because he fired and you were pulling a pin on a grenade!! Duh!! It's amazing how you get conditioned to doing things one way and do so without thinking and it's hard to have to think about which button to hit.. the one second delay usually results in Death! ... I still had a blast and Rooster and the guys were gracious enough to not get too mad at me ... thanks amigos.. IF I don't accept an invite though, it's not because i don't luv ya.. I just realize this will take some practice and being fair at the game on the PS3 doesn't mean I don't need to practice first with the box. LAN helps with this and let's me get used to the controls at a leisure.. I than need to play but with others closer to my level so I have a fighting chance.. Lastly two weeks of playing on the PS and not a single team kill for me... on the box one hour and three team kills, four suicides.. did not make me happy. Stats mean little or nothing to me, but hurting my own team instead of helping even a little does. So I'll PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE.. and at least get to the point of not making boner mistakes that result in a team mates death.. Goat...

You must also proclaim "UNDERTOW RULES" before every match in any game you play. EVERY GAME YOU PLAY! Once you complete the prerequisites you will be considered an "Underling Towwannabe" this title remains throughout your initiation stage (approx. 2 years) at which point you must again swim a mile and half backwards.. but in consideration of your commitment the armor is foregone.. however this must be done while wearing a speed "o" or bikini! (no choice this time Bikini for men, Speed "o" for women!, sorry that's the rules as I made them up "so let it be written so let it be done") Hurry! space is limited.. I already have several Greeks and one Chinese Drag Queen interested... I also have two women from the Russian Wrestling team ready to get it on! So sign up fast!
