  1. Ok.. that helps.. I willing to bet it's the mouse settings for your pad. First make sure you have the latest driver installed.. Check here, http://www.wacom.com/productsupport/select.cfm Go to your Pad's software and check the version.. insure you have the latest driver. Or else go to control panel/system/hardware/device manager/mouse/Driver/ the driver version will be listed there. If there is an update from Wacom's support than update the driver. Let me know if an update is available and if it fixes your problem. p.s. PM me if you like, no need for a thread on this.
  2. Huh? LOL! Congratulations... This is a question I can honestly say I've NEVER heard before!! LMAO! You have my attention since I'm curious as to what the heck you're talking about.. let's see ok tell me again what happens when you right click? Let's see if we can't figure this out. One possible soulution might be your Mouse settings. Ok so if when you right click you don't get the drop down menu? you may have your mouse settings set up in the wrong manner. Go to your control panel, hardware, mouse, and check to make sure the right click function is correct. There are some know issues with Windows Vista forgetting mouse settings for either Logitech or Ittelipoint mouse hardware. What type of mouse are you using?
  3. I'll be nice and just make this one short... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Registry
  4. They get my attention. and yes more exposure is needed.. not only a tragedy but A travesty.. I'll tell ya! A travesty!
  5. You're welcome HipChick... p.s. Banshee, as I said Avast is recommended. There are actually four versions.. Home, Professional, Network, and Enterprise. It was quite a while back when I tried it and it did keep asking me to upgrade. Since then I've heard the home version doesn't. also, if you have never received a virus.. well than you don't need virus protection? LOL! Viruses are usually locked and safeguarded by Virus protection software in what's called a virus vault thus making sure they don't infect your system. Once vaulted you can decide later how to handle them. I've had several locked by AVG. If you have never received a single one than either Avast isn't doing it's job or else you really don't need it in the first place. I would recommended you do an online virus check at Trend Micro to be sure one didn't slip past Avast. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
  6. No problem guys.. I guess I could have just provided the link to my companies customer care site on this..?? PC Customer Care but it's so much more fun typing it all out again and I tend to refrain from linking to my buisness stuff, besides it irritates Sequyah every time I do a long goat post! LMAO! Anyway. Goat to the link if you want or not. and thanks for the thanks.. I just try to help out when I can ... granted sometimes I type way too much, but it's meant in the right way.
  7. Gosh, all these PC questions lately, Ok really I'm not trying to come off as some sort of Knowitall.. I'm not an expert at anything, although I'm really good at a lot of things. All of this is simply trial and error, what worked what didn't and what IMO is the best out there. Most free programs are crap and should be avoided but some are exactly what they say they are and in fact are better than one's you pay for, so if they are better, and free than why not? If your system works well than if it's not broke don't fix it.. otherwise if you want my advice, than what I use, what I help others with and what I have found to WORK are the one's I mentioned.. Hippie C! (and by the way good to see you again, I miss playing Socom with you!) AVG Free is for Virus protection both for your PC as well as incoming and outgoing email checks. The email part of it is really well done, It updates itself on a schedule you set and it replaces all other virus protection such as Norton and Mc Afee both of which tend to run a massive program in the back ground and really use a lot of your's PC's resources (i.e. the processor and ram) Norton is the worst since although it works well enough, it's a constant "PAY US MORE" if you want updated protection... AVG is perhaps the best deal going since it gets it's data base directly from Symantec and never ask you to buy the pro version, which has more features and is worth the money but not really required unless you simply want even more protection. Avast is just as good IMO and I have tried and liked it, if you already have Avast than no need to switch, I like AVG better but Avast isn't a bad choice at all. Both of these however are VIRUS protection and do nothing what so ever for Spyware and Adware. Two totally different animals that have nothing to do with Viruses. For spyware you need anti-spyware protection. One's to stay away from : Adaware: adaware gives false reports and has been reported as spyware itself!! LOL! they block others and do the spying themselves!! HA! Spy Sweeper: just like Adaware it's reports your internet activity to marketers and makes money by doing so. It also reports false findings and seldom updates. But the worst by far is Coolwebsearch.. which simply lets every spyware program out there IN! if you have it you need to rid it NOW!! CWshredder from trend Micro will rid it from your PC. It's a nasty one and hard to eliminate but Trend Micro provides a tool for doing so. Spybot Search & Destroy, I have found to be the best, It stays up to date and it's data base of 60k some odd spyware checks is Huge and updates weekly. They never ask for money and operate by donations only. You want to send them some money goat ahead if not that's cool they don't ask you to but appreciate it if you do. Can be found at http://www.filehippo.com which by the way is highly recommended if you are looking for reliable free software. Also I can't stress how much RegSeeker at http://www.hoverdesk.net is good!! It's the only real Registry cleaner that I've found to not only work but do so without running the risk of screwing up your registry. The many tweaks that are included make RegSeeker my top choice for well done, free and useful system cleaning programs. Sum it up goat! and by the way yea yea long post but hey this is good info and I'm just trying to help out the members with some useful information. Virus protection = AVG free or Avast if you prefer Spyware = Spybot S&D File Cleaner = CCleaner Defragment = Good old windows defrag Registry Cleaner = RegSeeker There ya go!
  8. Avast isn't bad, but if you use it's home version it will keep asking you if you want to buy an upgrade. Also it's more for Virus protection and NOT for Spyware and Adware. LOL! yea Street it's a bit of work, do do those. but believe me you won't be sorry. as a last note after you are all done. Goat back to Sypbot S&D go to advanced mode. IE tweaks and turn on IE explorer Imunization. (it will protect your Browser's cahce folder. don't matter if you use Mozilla since Mozilla actually uses parts of IE to run) and one last tweak in RegSeeker go to it's tweaks and get rid of all those stupid arrows on your shortcuts.. Peace yo, Goat.
  9. D-75! Spy Sweeper isn't that good. It was at one time but I don't recommend it. Ok here's the ticket... and yea it's just my opinion here but it's a dayam good opinion and I've used and tested these on a wide variety of customers PC's. (I clean em up or else have one of my guys do it as a courtesy when we do Installations) any way. These are the best of the best, totally free, don't keep asking you to buy better versions and upgrade themselves again for FREE!. For Virus and email protection. AVG FREE- Anti virus protection, not a resource HOG like McAfee and Norton, both of which will slow your PC down to a crawl and I suggest ridlin (that's a pun) your PC of them. Spyware, Bot's and Adware- Spybot Search and Destroy. Excellant program nothing beats it. Internet Cache, files and hard drive cleaner. CCleaner or Crap Cleaner as it's called. All three can be found at http://www.filehippo.com ( http://www.filehippo.com/ ) They are the schit. Lastly for Registry cleaning use RegSeeker at http://www.hoverdesk.net ( http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm ) it will clean your registry and rid it of the garbage that accumulates. Download and install them and do advanced installs on CCleaner and uncheck the GOOGLE hotbar box. 1) Install AVG Free and run and update it. (Let it fix anything it finds) 2) Install Spybot S&D and run and update it. (Let it fix anything it finds) 3) Go to your control panel and uninstall every unneeded and useless program on your PC (NORTON and MCAfee need to go!!! if you have them GET RID OF THEM.) 4) Go to system tools and do a de-fragmented of your hard drive 5) Install CCleaner and clean your cache and files. (Don't use it's Registry cleaner for that use RegSeeker) 6) Download and Unzip RegSeeker and place a shortcut to the application on your desktop. 7) Run RegSeekers auto clean set at 3x mode and let it clean your registry. Reboot your PC and notice how FAST it is again.. HELL it's like it's brand new. This information is top secret. These are all free, they WORK! they don't HOG your resources, update themselves for free (except Spybot you have to tell it to search for updates I suggest once a week do so) and best of ALL they don't ask you to buy anything from them. Want your PC running good and fast again? than do this and thank the GOAT for saving your ass... Again...

  12. Really? You sure you want to know....ok….! ……But just so you know, no way this won’t require a long goat post.. so read on if you really really want to know otherwise it might be too much for your itsy bitsy brain to handle… It;’s the latest fad called PHP. Ha! ok Da Goat’s gonna have to put on his Geek hat for this one… Where TH did I put my Geek hat?? Oh there it is.. right next to the stack of popular mechanics magazines.. Ok hat on! Here we go! What’s PHP you say.. Basically it requires a scripting language like Java or PHP. With PHP I would just name all the images like image1.png", image2.png", image3.png and so on… when the refresh page loads you use php to get a random number assign that random number to a variable such as $random. (use a number between 1 and 10) and than you echo.. echo echo echo.. echo.. LOL something like this.. echo "<img src=\"image$random.gif\" alt=\"\" />"; or else like this.. echo '<img src="'.$img_folder.$image.'" border=0>'; it works of course because you placed the PHP script somewhere in the page of the link which contains the scripted code and the url of the pictures.. Hold on, Let’s see if I can just copy the code from somewhere online.. let me look this one up for the actual code, Ok here ya go this is sort of what the code looks like <?php $path_to_images = "images/"; // path to your images $default_img = "turtle.gif"; // image to display if directory listing fails function getRandomImage($path, $img) { if ( $list = getImagesList($path) ) { mt_srand( (double)microtime() * 1000000 ); $num = array_rand($list); $img = $list[$num]; } return $path . $img; } function getImagesList($path) { $ctr = 0; if ( $img_dir = @opendir($path) ) { while ( false !== ($img_file = readdir($img_dir)) ) { // can add checks for other image file types here if ( preg_match("/(\.gif|\.jpg)$/", $img_file) ) { $images[$ctr] = $img_file; $ctr++; } } closedir($img_dir); return $images; } return false; } ?> Add this where you wish the random image to appear in your document: <!-- Random image code from dyn-web.com --> <img src="<?php echo getRandomImage($path_to_images, $default_img) ?>" alt=""> Ok of course there are programs that let you just click on the photos and they put the code in for you.. but that’s basically how it works.. PHP! Kicking Java’s ass!! And now you know!
  13. Well forget Mustangs if we are.. and GTO's as well and heck Diesel trucks too!! if its mad power on the drag strip you're looking for than I'm going with my old elementary SCHOOL BUS!! I was never late for school.. Except for that one time my zipper got jambed putting on my fire proof suit. You been Schooled!
  14. Ditto! Welcome back. p.s. Sorry Sid you're still older than Dirt. That said excuse me while I goat kick the Senior Citizens Needle point ladies club out of the rec room and plug in my PS3. "Hey!! darn nab it!! who left their teeth on the lazy boy again!! "
  15. Happy New Year!
  16. For this the FIRST tourney at COD, just think of it like this. It's not only an evaluation of prospective clans. It's also being used to evaluate the game itself, the different modes, maps, game types, rules, respawns, etc. etc.. etc.. So like Tow said, questions concerns, comments etc etc are not only welcomed they are encouraged, this is a dry run. Things will go down as they are proposed and I doubt much will be changed for the first run through, it's just too much a hassle to go changing things at the last minute, so do it this way for now. Afterwards we can go through what worked and what didn't, what you liked what you didn't, hear suggestions and comments about it all and then make any changes deemed to need changing. Just try it this way and then comment. It' doesn't do much good to start second guessing the temporary rules set for evaluation before we even try them out.
  17. 41 still on the first run, I play a lot of private stuff. And I'm still not even to two days yet. I also use a horde of other guns since as usual stats don't mean much to me. but when I get serious I stick to the M16 with just the red dot or else toss the the Acog on it. Otherwise I just keep using other guns and random perks.. most of the other weapons I don't even have the red dot for yet.

  19. I'm not sure Call of Duty will have the Staying power that Socom did. Let's face it, if you're of the like mind as me.. Socom gave me five years of entertainment, no other game even comes close to that. Sure it had it problems, but for the most part the problems were not so dramatic as to stop me from playing. At least not until recently. The bottom line for me was not so much Socom but had more to do with the next gen' consoles and what they offered by way of improved graphics, sound and performance. I don't doubt that had Confrontation been released by now or if a Socom title was out for the next gen systems that I would be playing that and not COD. Regardless of what happened to Socom, I can't complain since I don't deny I more than got my monies worth in entertainment value. Will COD have the same staying power. Honestly I doubt it. I thought Resistance was awesome but after a few months grew tired of it.. With Warhawk It held my interest for less than a month, Vegas was a game I loved but it too failed to hold my interest. GRAW was too problematic in terms of it's servers and quickly became frustrating. So along came COD and yes it's a blast and has yet to grow tiresome.. but comparing Socom's Five years to COD's two months means COD as not even come close to being considered in the same league as Socom. Will Confrontation rule COD? perhaps? We will see. But my money's on Confrontation as COD has yet to prove it's Staying power. At this time it's a no brainer Socom CA simply doesn't cut it for me anymore, and Confrontation isn't available, that only leaves COD as the only choice at this time. When more choices become available things may change.
  20. and I just noticed that APC has moved the infamous Friday night Midnight mass from Socom to COD4. So it appears (as usual) Tow is ahead of the game on things. It's not Saturday night but it's the same concept since Midnight mass was the "open invitation from APC room" Just thought I'd mention it in this thread since it's a lot what you are talking about and was a always considered as a UF members get together with APC affair. It wasn't the only one there was <7>'s Bar & Grill as well as a few others, perhaps we may see even more either make a move to COD or else put up rooms within both games. At one time even PBK had a similar open invitations room called PBKnight we may start it back up for Cod as well. It just sort of sucks that unlike Socom you always knew which server to join and could simply find the games by the title. With Cod, none of that works too well.. The one saving grace however is it seems the creators of COD actually listen to the players.. I was talking with Red Oct a while back about a nice letter addressing some things that would improve COD in concern to Clan based involvement. The idea sort of got put on the shelf, but perhaps I may go back over it since it certainly wouldn't hurt and who knows maybe they might even listen and improve the sort of badly done lobby they have in place now.
  21. OMG! he's been waiting to post that sig for the last four months!! sheesh!! LMAO!! I don't know who's got a bigger swollen head the entire Patriots team or Street? The only thing worst than having an arrogant team win is having to hear about it from Street!!
