I have given the ps3 a static ip and put it in the dmz I also had to change my modem from router mode to bridged in order to get an open nat. Some people I travel with have moderate or strict nats and they seem to have more success getting us into a game than I do. I have seen several almost disconnects where the plug pulling symbol pops up and I'm not the only one on my team to see it when it happens. I have had multiple instances where people have gotten dropped from the party.

So far I am seeing that a party host with a moderate or strict nat is able to find games for the party easier. In my experience having a open nat has put me in the minority.

LOL didn't you just post a thread a day or two ago saying how bad MAG was screwed up? That game has been out almost a year and they still haven't gotten it right... And no one is coming back..

It all depends on what kind of packages you get and I would recommend shopping Directv. Yes you can spend 200 and well over but you don't have to it depends on what channels your looking for. Yes netflix and such can sub for cable as long as you can be a little patient. Your not going to get access to shows and movies until they come out on dvd.

What are you paying for your rabbit ears setup? Nothing? I have a 57" DLP and the picture is perfect on Netflix. You don't get reception like you would with rabbit ears it's a digital file from a server or computer that comes in on your internet connection.

I have the $10 a month plan on Netflix but I hear what your saying because it was 9. I refuse to pay 5 or 6 dollars per movie from services like Directv and Vudu when I could just go out and buy it for 20 and watch it as many times as I want. I gotta admit though the recent 28 day embargos really get to me because there are just some movies that I pass on in the theater but really want to see on blu ray or dvd when they come out. One problem I did notice with Block Buster is they don't have unlimited streaming you get a certain amount of rentals per month then the fees go up. Block Buster has always been about the scam which is why I stopped going to them a very long time ago. I guess it's just like it always was if they can't keep themselves from screwing us then it's off to the pirate bay.

This will be an ongoing battle for pretty much ever now that the software has been cracked. From what i have heard vudu is a much more expensive version of netflix.

The editing makes it tough Nemesis but I would say for the most part that guy is just pretty good with a sniper rifle. To me quick scoping in MW2 for example is when the guy points his sniper rifle in your direction taps L1 to aim and pulls the trigger right after in order to let auto aim do the work. Most of what I saw in that video was him looking down the scope and putting the cross hairs on the enemy.

This season dragged a little through the middle but the ending was awesome. I won't ruin it for my fellow DVR peeps.

Nope it's just the game.. A router/modem reset has helped me here and there but overall this game still needs a patch or the servers are still overloaded. By the way those bars represent your ping. 31ms for a ping is very acceptable you won't have many problems unless your pushing over a hundred I have seen pings as high as 300-500 those people get booted by admins on PC games. http://pingtest.net/ The jitter I am showing on there is probably because this pc is wireless. My PS3 is wired in. Ping can be affected by a lot of things but one thing is you playing a game and someone else on your network uploading a video or something to face book etc.

Two completely different genres I guess it comes down to what you like/want more. For me GT5 all day every day I have waited for it to long to even consider another game. I type this as I wait for the install to finish.

No self respecting PC gamer is running that game at 720P lol Trust me that fact is not little known. Every PS3 gamer has had it shoved in their face that this game is a better experience on 360. From the box getting patches and dlc earlier to IW dropping the dedicated servers for PC. Most everyone is well aware of those facts. And that's another thing that I wouldn't just assume would go away if they started charging us for the online. The PC is a pretty close platform to the Box though as far as they both run a microsoft OS.

I know what frame rate drop looks like I have played countless PC games with Fraps running and I can tell you the exact difference between dropping frames and lag. The easiest and most common map to see it on is summit. Coming back to this for a minute. I just want to say if I had to pay for the way that this game is playing with the frame rate drop and latency I would be throwing a fit like no other. You can not charge for service like this and I won't just assume that because they are thinking of charging us that the service will be any better. The host migration is a joke the frame rate drop is terrible and the latency has cost me more kills than I could ever count. I strongly urge everyone to take a stand against charging for P2P gaming.

One thing about the Iphone for case manufacturers you only have a couple designs to consider where with Droid you have a bunch. Personally I have the Gakaxy S Captivate and love it to death.
