NEW YORK (Reuters) – A security flaw in Apple Inc's (AAPL.O) iPhone allows unauthorized users to gain easy access to private contacts and e-mails even when the device is locked, but the company said a fix is on the way. Popular technology blog Gizmodo and an online forum run by the Mac Rumors site showed that it took only three taps to gain access to locked iPhones, which run the latest 2.02 iPhone software. A spokeswoman said in an e-mail that Apple was aware of the problem and was readying a software update to fix it. In the meantime, she recommended users set the iPhone's "Home" button to open up the phone's iPod music collection rather than the phone's "Favorites" menu. The spokeswoman did not say when the software update would be made available. The flaw could be seen as a momentary setback in Apple's ambitious plans to compete against Research In Motion (RIM.TO), whose BlackBerry smartphone has become a standard issue device in corporate businesses around the globe. Earlier in August, technology research firm Gartner issued a report that said iPhone's software had met Gartner's minimum requirements for business support, although some issues persisted. The author of the report, Ken Dulaney, was not immediately reachable. Last week, Apple released a software update for the iPhone that reportedly helped fix problems connecting to faster third-generation (3G) wireless networks, after receiving a flurry of online complaints from customers around the world. Apple, which started selling the new 3G iPhone on July 11, has said it expected to sell 10 million iPhones by the end of 2008. http://news.yahoo.com/story//nm/20080828/tc_nm/apple_security_dc

Wow, that brought back some memories. Sneaking into the LR after ma went to bed to get more play time in. Being infuriated by pitfall. Trying to get all the damn rings in a Sonic level. Running around for hours with my stupid little wooden sword in Zelda. Rocking the house on Defender. I LOOOOOOVED Defender. Thanks for that Sid! Maybe I'll go DL some of those to my Wii. ;D

I usually get about 4-6 hours. Sometimes I take about a 2 hour nap on sunday afternoon, but that isn't very often. Fuck it I'll sleep when I'm dead.

As a Metallica hater from way back* , at first listen I might like it. The Day that never comes: The first half is OK, but it really picks up after the 4 minute mark. You'll see some of the metal riffs are back. It really is kinda like two different songs. The first half sound more like recent radio stuff. Second half is much, much better. Just listened to it again, and I was kinda bored at first waiting for four minutes. :-\ It does redeem itself at 4min or so though. ;D Maybe it gets better because that whiny ass hetfield isn't on it. :D My Apocalypse: That is what the fuck I am mothafucking talking about. This is what MY Metallica sounds like. I will probably be buying this album for this song alone if nothing else. _________________________ * In my defense, everything after Justice was bad. Enter Sandman is a good song, but other than that it is all load of crap. If I can see a band like stained or coldplay or all those other soft radio bands performing the same song, then that isn't Metallica. It was a bunch of perpetrators. ;D Master of puppets is in slot 6 in my car.

Dude, if you let a kid start throwing that shit at 9, their arms will be done by the time they finish high school. Throwing a curve puts an insane amount of torque on your arm. There is a vid on the web that illustrates it if you wanna go look for it.

That is the truth right there, buddy. Although I do think that the shennanegins of the last few elections have a small part in people not voting. On top of that all the mudslinging someone metioned earlier has people confused about what really is important. I personally think that the IQ level on this board is well above that of the typical american. If no one spells it out plainly for alot of people they don't have a clue, so they don't bother with it all. It's a damn shame is what it is.

You got that right. I'm not a huge fan of the game, but I still keep thinking of buying it just because of all the excellent support.

The Boondocks is a comic strip turned cartoon written by Aaron McGruder. Love the strip. Love the show. The guy is all about bashing the politically correct bullshit that is turning our country into piss. Very funny stuff. He kinda reminds me of Mel Brooks as far as nothing is off limits to him. Assy Mcgee is funny as hell, but very strange. Even stranger than Aqua Teen, if that's possible.

Meh, I hate cake. My wife loves cake and minimally likes pie.

That was funny stuff. I think I'll add that to my netflix.

I hear ya puddy. I found this the other day and forgot to post it here. I could see if he had no control, but just because he throws hard, no way. Why should he have to move up a division? That's not really fair to him. It would probably be better for him developmentally, but it's not fair to not play with his friends. I would want my kid to play him. You only get better playing better opponents. FriscoNeoHorndogsUnited, banning curves is 100% the right thing to do. Kids that young have no business putting that kinda stress on their arms.

mmmmmmm.........banana creme pie.............coconut custard...mmmmmmmm I don't think there is such a thing as a bad pie........... I am fluent. ;D
-
Agreed! Best comedy movie EVER! The most politically correct also. That is an understatement. It should be shown to all freshman in schools. Then broken down as a class.

Tis the reason I own a gun. Word. You never know which overly coddled, crybaby, blame it on everyone else, shithead will stirke next.

If I taught you my code, it wouldn't be mine anymore would it? ;D
