Covert-OPs_ Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 This is the list I compiled: -Menus load SIGNIFICANTLY faster -Tournaments are up(but I can't add one to test because Deez has not transferred leadership yet) -Password rooms are now available and working. -Select wheel is GONE! -I can hear footsteps from a lot further now and more detailed. -Quick swap is persistent but depending on your custom control setup you may have trouble selecting it(I am). It remains persistent after the switch sides occurs. -Quick swap can be done in the middle of a reload. -Selecting weapons can be done while moving. -Grenade toss is significantly better, I mean a lot better! -New scope crosshairs are a lot better, firing seems a lot tighter in scope. -Character movement is more fluid. Make that significantly faster! -Shooting over rails or ledges is still jacked. However now if you constantly hold forward then a few shots will make it over where you don't get the yellow circle. So it works but only in that circumstance, it still sucks -Shooting vehicles through the window does not do anything, so vehicle damage is now slightly better. -Planting the bomb and the flares still happens outside of the circle but seems slightly better. Urban wasteland may still be a problem. NVM, it's still ridiculous! Echo cannot be secured from behind the stairs anymore but planting the bomb can still be done behind the wall and behind the plant site next to the generator. -Fade to black is gone and I mean gone! -Lobby timer that begins a count down which cannot be disabled unless everyone joins the same side. So once you turn the key there generally is no way to deactivate it. -Famas is....the same. -Dive to prone is more responsive. But laying down when still, is still sorry. -Claymores that are direct line of site of the full body will take away half health if its far or kill you if you're within a good range. You still can't lay them down exactly where you want. -Mics sound better. -Shooting people under water has been improved. -VIP's still get into jumping orgies but less often. They also figure out how to follow you even if they can't jump over a ledge. -Sniper rifle and DE will kill you with one shot to the foot. When strafing however it isn't very accurate so it becomes a two shot no scope. Never mind it's one shot if you hit them directly with it while running, same thing with the DE. I didn't see it but one of the UF guys is saying that there is some aim assist with sniper rifles now. He says it keeps dragging on me while I'm moving. No scoping is ridiculous! -Joining from in-game friends list confirmed. Quote

To select grenades, you move to the left (while the screen is up) and it doesn't always respond. - EVERYONE is sniping. I was in a 8v8 ranked and 12 of 16 people were sniping. - So far, Quick Match is screwed up. We joined 8v8 Ranked and it put us in a 16v16 ranked with rockets enabled, which makes no sense. Quote

(Big Recoil) - Clan Tags in game and on the scoreboard. - Reloading over ruble seems to be working fine. - Quick Swap, you can run and switch weapons. - Assign, you can also assign your weapons for quick select. - Quarantine (ESCORT) - Water drained in the middle at the start of the map. - Medium scope has been fixed, crosshairs are red in the middle. - Lag or Latency drastically improved! - Grenades seem to work a lot better. - If 60% people have greened up in the lobby, it automatically launches a countdown. - Clan Awards - Simply go to your clan and click on awards. - Headsets are LOUDER. - Loading into the game and after the game is faster. - Now you can get automiatic pop-ups notifying of messages. - Sound Quality is much better if you're using standard TV speakers. - Footsteps are louder, you can hear people sneaking up around you! - Ladder climbing sound is dumbed down so you dont hear it across the map. - Hostages run/follow smoothly now. - Now you can see Armor Value, Encumbrance and Mobility when choosing. - VOTES show up late so dead guys can't tell you to turn around. - The lasers still show up through walls, but the transparency is very low. - You can now choose 8v8 or 16v16 in QUICK MATCH. - You can now VOTE people out who have not joined the game and who are spectating - You can't select the claymore detonator without planting all of your claymores because they are on the same selection Tab - In Control Points..the Points are no longer "ghost" through the map, only when you're close...you have to use your map to find them. - Target spotting will now default to OFF in all ranked games. - No LOSS OF SOUND reported YET! - You can now shoot through the netting of Frostfire by Merc Spawn. - Game Details, lobby menu shows what time of day the map is before it starts. 1 Example. - BOMB PLANTS DO NOT COUNT ANYMORE TOWARDS THE WIN. If tied at 4-4 then it comes to kills, like suppression. - M203's, RPG's, GLS & AT-4 HEATS as of now are in Quick Match ONLY Ranked Rooms. - Claymores, having a claymore out and pushing "O" CIRCLE will switch automatically to your detonator. Being able to plant one and detonate instead of all 3. Quote

However if I have to pick something to bitch about it HAS to be the non-existent night vision fix. It needs a complete overhaul with visibility and the whole not being able to run with it on factor. Visibility is my biggest issue. I can't see shit on my 1600 dollar LCD and that's CRAZY! Quote

Hurry and get on!!! On Topic. The rush of people logging in hasn't affected the lag as of yet. Still looking good. I did notice that people with bad connections are the only ones skipping around, kinda like XBL. That means watch your ass when Rafa, Frankie, HellRaiser, Pito, and the others are on. ;D ;D EDIT:: The rooms seem to take a few more seconds before they start loading atm. Nothing like what we've seen in the past, but just not as fast as they were loading this morning. Quote
