We haven't "banished" Dv8 members from this site or this forum. The "group" never did anything to warrant such action. It's not our way of doing things. We've NEVER been that way. If, for whatever reason, Sniper and I (the ONLY two who can ever make that call) didn't want a clan here on the UF forums, then you would no longer have an account here. Dv8 left the Riot Act tourney. On a completely different situation, but one that involved a lot of Apple's mouth, Urgent Fury severed ties with Dv8 News. That was it. We didn't say "go to hell, Dv8" or anything of the sort. If you're a good person, we like you here. If you're a gamer who likes what this forum has to offer, then you're welcomed here. If your name is AsianApple, we'd rather you not punch the keys on your keyboard, because things for some reason only end horribly if you do. I hope you continue to enjoy the forums here, Czar. If you like it here, have at it. We're kind of like a fine restaurant...you're more than welcome to come in and eat, reservations aren't always necessary, we just don't allow pets so you'll have to leave the dog at home. Forums allow you the OPTION of putting a message at the bottom of the post to say whether or not it's been altered. It's disappointing that they took this route. I guess it just further proves a point, I guess. We never removed our relationship with Dv8 News because Dv8 dropped from the tourney (STILL don't know why). We removed it for two simple reasons. 1: we knew that they were not doing anything FOR the UF community. Just basically sapping players here and bringing them to their own forum (LOL, a play that shows you'd be a prisoner there considering how hard it was to get her to simply delete accounts when requested). And 2, well, their last few posts here bot during the fallout as well as during their stay in the Riot Act tourney, AsianApple in particular. Those posts are still up as we do not erase posts here (or ALTER them for that matter). With the last U-Freq, YES, we did take our shot at their parting and, more specifically, Apple herself. But heck, we don't see how that's different from ANY spoof that we do on U-Freq. We've taken clan names and altered them for spoof ad purposes forever now. If anything, we invited them into an INTELLIGENT war of wits.....we would have welcomed a spoof of UF on their show. But they weren't capable of that. instead, you had a lonely, vengeful woman sitting under her night light at her computer table and thinking of all the creative ways to alter someone's post at their forums, the SAME forums that they have already demonstrated an ugly abuse of power already by initially refusing to delete any accounts when they were getting requests for it. It took their forum admin, NOT her, to actually delete them for us on the sly because she was being a baby about it. At least he had the courtesy to PM us letting us know he would do that for us. We took our shot at their grand-stand leaving of UF and what we DID spoof in our U-Freq episode was touching on truth. We didn't make things up in there. From the way she wanted to conduct an interview to the way she ranted like a madwoman at the end....all we did was AMPLIFY what was already truth. Take that as you will, your mileage may vary. But hey....it is what it is. We did our spoof. We've moved on. And that was the plan. We don't expect to waste any more time than the original 3:30 minutes of the spoof ad on Dv8 News anymore. We truly do believe we've given them way too much of our time as it is. - TOW

We refuse to have a 3rd outside party come in and record this event. Some of the footage may reveal some of our tactics, and with so many other tourneys looming out there, we don't want to give anything away. If you wish to record this match, then we will respectfully refuse to show up. I'm sorry. This is just the way we feel about the matter. LOL j/k

They didn't really do much for our community so we removed our relationship with them from the table. We keep VERY busy here at UF, whether it's the creators or the Staff or the Rangers.....and we expect any partnerships we may entertain to stay just as equally busy for both their own interests as well as ours.

And I will have a pretty big one there as well.

I got off the phone with Sniper a little while ago. Power is still out and they're not getting any updates as to when their neighborhood and surrounding ones will regain power again. The other half of the storm passed over him and it then got downgraded to "tropical storm." His home is intact and he's doing well. Still boarded up and hot as hell in there! LOL I'm sure I'll get another update in the morning.

UPDATE! Checking the weather for August 2nd here in Chicago, we're looking at a VERY nice 78-82 degrees that day. That's the great news. The potentially bad news is that is MIGHT rain that day. Friday, the day before, has a 60% chance of rain. Of course, things will look more definite as we get nearer to the date. HOWEVER, there is a contingency plan! The bars later in the evening, of course, will be unaffected by any potential rainfall. BUT, the Caldwell Woods meet could potentially suffer. IF THIS IS THE CASE, then at 2pm Urgent Fury will move its location right across the street to SUPERDAWGS where we will dine on fine Chicago hot dogs and see how much the rain wants to show its face that day, if at all of course. This is JUST a contingency plan, everyone. Always be prepared.

She and her company have a booth there so it's not like you'll be conducting a convention-wide manhunt or anything. This WILL be fun, though. So if you're going, and you're game, then send me a PM.

So, I was getting worried about my li'l buddy Sniper all day today because he lives down in hurricane alley in Texas right now. During the day today, our phone call got interrupted 3x because his power kept flickering off. Then the rest of the afternoon up until about 30 mins ago, I couldn't reach him on the phone at all. He JUST called me from a cell phone to let me know he's ok. His neighborhood got hit with some mad winds that started tearing his roof up a bit. He was able to call me because he's in the EYE of the storm and they're expecting another blast of everything in a while. His power is currently out and has been for half the day. He let me know that he's hungry (because they don't want to let the cool out of the fridge....he jokingly asked me to send him some food. I can only assume he meant some tacos or something else from his minority background) and all he has are books right now......and he wants his internet back! (LOL) It's pretty hot and humid inside his place right now because all their windows, like their neighbors', are boarded up shut. With no electricity, they don't have really good air flow going on right now. He said he'll call me later on in the evening to let me know how things are going out there. Give the boy some well wishes and love so he can see he was missed when he gets back......because the bastard cries a lot on the phone with me when I don't give him enough attention. Hopefully Sniper and his family (and their home) will make it out ok.

Urgent Fury's logo's first appearance on national television and it's going to be Chaka dancing around a bunch of minors wearing big orange foam fists with lighting sticking out of either end while he's pouring kool-aid or something. Greeeeaaaaat.

Hmmmmm.....based off of this thread thus far, Cmdr. Fury is ALREADY asking me if BritishBanana could re-appear in a future episode of U-Freq. We had NO idea she'd be huch a shit. I mean, we had NO idea she'd be such a hit. But that's great. It's always great when you accidentally touch on some good entertainment.

Once you start introducing $1,000+ tourneys, clans start crawling out of the woodwork to get a piece of the action. Also, some players and, sadly, clans who see a prize that big in front of them will start pondering some questionable tactics just to pull ahead of everyone else. In these times...there are some who will shelve their integrity in order to get a little ahead. That's why here in UF, we have "pay tourneys with some very cool prizes," we'll stay away from the TACMAP tourney that offers, say, $5,000 to the winner because....well....can you even IMAGINE the whining and accusations that would befall a tourney with a prize like that? With UF, we'd much prefer a small fee for the tourney, a very cool, non-monetary prize for an entire clan and a bunch of clans who are playing it up STRAIGHT for the duration of the tourney. We're willing to sacrifice having the hu-mungo numbers of clans and players here (like GB) to make sure that our tourney arena does not get "infected" by clans who will do ANYTHING to win (like GB).

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The impostor has been banned without end. Will the UF Staff member in charge of the tourney that [.dM] is involved in please contact their Clan Rep and make sure that everything is as it should be so that they can (if they wish) continue the tourney. As for Twylight-Z (the real one), I apologize that you were confronted with that type of language and antagonistic behavior focused on you here on our forum.
