Believe it or not, UF is still keeping a tab on this. We didn't secure urbanfury.net for the hell of it. I was just talking to an Xbox player yesterday about the activity level online for GTA4. He said the Xbox leaderboards number in the hundreds of thousands if not millions. However, we've seen the slow attention we have here in getting new Xbox players to this community. We would LIKE to adapt GTA4 into UF.net, but as said before, maintaining a tourney like this is TOUGH, but STARTING a tourney like this? Even tougher....and the demand needs to BE there. Hell.....get a few shots into Sniper and me come August 2nd and we'll be happy enough to have a completed tourney finished that evening! LOL

The attacks on their reputation weren't coming so much from Clan Reps, Peebrain, more so than it was coming from their own members. Maximus said it above...the guys in his clan should not have let this happen. NO ONE is able to pull off a double-name within his own clan without SOMEONE knowing. It's just not possible. And when the question was posed "should I do this?" someone should have just said "no." But this is one of those lessons learned the hard way about clan honor here in UF. Just like in Japan or, god forbid, back when the typical family HAD some morals instead of acting however they can to get ahead, just one person can bring shame and dishonor to an entire family. This is simply what happened here. And as it's seen in the end, a LOT of dishonor and shame could have been saved if just ONE person said "this isn't right." Because someone like Maximus may not have noticed them doing this, but someone else DID. This has happened to clans before in the past. We'll just have to sit back and see if they make it back, as some do, or if they fade away into obscurity, as too many do.

I never paid much attention to this band in the past. However, ever since I found out that one of my local Chicago faves "SoiL" lost their lead singer to Drowning Pool just recently (the guy who's in the video), I may need to get this new Drowning Pool album. Thanks, Nackulio.

It was brought to the Clan Reps' attention that AoA has utilized secondary names played by players who are currently POWs in Riot Act. This is a practice that is absolutely against what Urgent Fury strives for here in honest play. As always, as said many times over, we judge a clan here on many levels, from their clan leader to the members of the clan. Everyone's actions while behind a clan's clan tag is representative OF that clan. We have never presented a gray area in this regard. A TRUE clan leader or leadership structure within a clan makes CERTAIN that things of this nature do NOT happen. Lapses in leadership and quality control will almost ensure that things of this nature tarnish a clan's hard work and reputation here in Urgent Fury. Because of this dishonorable action, Urgent Fury is removing [AoA] from UF: Riot Act effective immediately. We truly hope, after this, AoA can do some house cleaning, from leadership down to the newest gunner, and fix what they need to in order to be trustworthy again here in the Urgent Fury community. THAT was pretty gruesome.

We're currently at 42 total sign-ups for the RONIN SOCOM/CoD4 tourney. 30 for CoD4 and 12 for SOCOM. The tourney will need a total of 22 more individuals to sign up in order for this tourney to launch with two copies of SOCOM: Confrontation as the prizes for each tourney. Urgent Fury entertains a LOT of players here in these tourneys, so we know there's a good surplus of players out there. 42 in the first week is great so I hope we can see 22 more in this final week. We have until next week Monday, otherwise, people start forgetting what they signed up for and decide not to participate. We know with almost every clan here in UF, only about 5%-25% of your entire clan actually hold accounts here on the UF forum. That being the case, please make sure that your fellow clansmen are fully aware of this tourney and that they can sign up to this forum in order to be able to participate. If we cannot reach the full 64 total players between the two tourneys, then we'll have to shut it down and continue our efforts in our other existing tourneys. Thank you. - TOW

The date is set and the show will go on. Cmdr. Fury will be bringing back the U-Freq podcast back to UF on 07-14, which is NEXT Monday evening. We're looking very forward to having this great aspect of UF return and return in a BIG way, considering this silence has been driving the good Commander CRAZY. Furiously crazy! WELL! ;D Not that I want to nitpick the video to death, but I liked everything I saw except something jumped odd at me. That shot of the seal in the middle of the screen, out in the open, strafing left and right as he was being fired upon so as to not get shot.....it seemed like he was moving REALLY fast. What I liked about SOCOM, and even CoD4, is the NATURAL flow of movement in the characters. That seemed weird, though I AM fully aware that that could have just been some sped-up video for the commercial or something. STILL, tre cool and can't wait. Now if only they'd release a new trailer every other day! LOL

Best Buy doesn't offer this yet. I have a $50 GC there that would have went nicely with that headset. LOL

I LIIIIIIKE that first one, but I told myself I wouldn't use a Bluetooth headset for gaming because of their relatively short life spans while online. I like the corded. But I LIKE that first one.

Whenever we come across a military/clan themed game, Urgent Fury will ALWAYS look at it for possible inclusion. At the same time, we also look to our community and the gaming community all around UF to see whether or not it's worth it for UF to develop an entire tourney for it. Take Grand Theft Auto for example. We secured urbanfury.net in an effort to expand UF into a non-military shooter. Hype was all around this game before its launch, which perked our ears. Everyone was raving about the online being very cool and varying, which perked our eyes. And then we looked on the forum about a month later....................and crickets. Not saying that GTA was/is a dud or anything like that, as we know there are some players here who are raving about it, but we cannot make a tourney to cater to 5 players. This is NOT an admission from UF stating that we're not going to do anything with Urban Fury....I'm just giving you what we see and hear at this point. So it's not so much about hearing the crazy fanboys gloating over their new-smelling MGO because they're still enjoying how cool it is to hang drop from a platform or to throw a box over your head and move around "incognito LOL," it's about evaluating what the community might be saying about it a month later...or two months later. When CoD4 came out, buzz NEVER stopped about it. Probably because it IS such a great substitute for SOCOM when SOCOM didn't exist on the PS3. THAT is the reason UF will spend its time and energy on creating an entire tourney for it. I don't think anyone here needs to be told how time consuming it CAN be to create a new tourney here at UF. CoD4 was hard work....but it was certainly WORTH it. For MGO and any other game in the future, only time (and your responses) will tell. - TOW

I don't believe you CAN play music from your files while you're playing ONLINE. I have not tried single player yet, though. Unless I'm not doing something I'm supposed to.

There may be map pack maps in there. It won't ALL be Combined Assault maps and it won't ALL be map pack maps. But I'm sure there will be a healthy mix of the BEST maps in there.
