Sort of funny to re-introduce ourselves as a "new" clan- we've been around for ages, and we certainly arent going anywhere soon! Its great to see the UF community thriving, and its a relief to have a someplace to rely on, year in and year out, to provide a great gaming environment and culture. Catch you guys in game soon!

glad to know we arent the only ones who really miss SOCOM, and what it meant to the gaming community

well, its hard for me to not look at that video from both sides... it could technically fall under the category of good marketing. Heck, look no farther than Apple's tv ads where they do nothing but take shots at PC. (which, ironically, is considered to be the most effective ad run in the last 5 years by many in the industry). That said, while annoying, partially offensive (im not one to make jokes about swastikas, nazis, or anything related to that blemish in human history) it is also flattery in that you have to EARN that bullseye for people to take notice and the time to take shots at ya.

the early feedback from [OGC]'s worthless jobless lucky bastards that are getting Socom time in all day today is that the load times were not improved significantly, but the late joining does not appear to be a problem anymore. Im not as concerned with prox chat as I am with the almost unbearable load times, nor could i give a rat's ass about European servers- fix your biggest market first in my opinion.

Hmmmmm, who was it... damnit i cant remember!! im gonna have to really think about this- i think it was with the M4A1, and i know it was someone in OGC. Gonna go post up in my forums to find out.

Thanks to all for the words--- we definately went out a bit earlier than expected but we seemed to find ourselves surrounded by a bunch of crazy ass soldiers that just didnt want to stay still long enough for us to shoot them. especially SXB, we had a few wars with those guys that reminded us of some of the early UF EPIC style battle of the wills type wars, where wives are yelling to come to bed already and soldiers on both teams are grumbling "Im so fucked at work tomorrow" and things like that. Thanks for having us- we had a blast in the past few Crucibles and Riot act, and I promise you all that you'll be seeing us soon enough!! I have the guys thinking about SOCOM, and it cant come soon enough.

interesting pick having OGC (crucible 1 finalist) going out the 1st round.....now granted we do have to play on wetworks S&D against our opponents, but i think we can take it!

the 2nd issue- running in circles thing- happens to me periodically, i think its a bluetooth issue between the machine and the controller. Issue 1, the black/white screen- that doesnt sound too good...

ok- crew didnt do the best job of laying the background here. Now, let me preface this next part by saying I did not play in the war even though im the clan leader...ive been trying to give our other troops and the B squad more war time since they didnt get much exposure in Crucible 1. One really needs to know Trey in order to fully appreciate this story. Trey, god bless his soul, is one of our troops that got slated to participate in Crucible 2 as a part of the B squad. I had to decipher this snake thing (which I thought was a joke) from 8 people that have been laughing their asses off for a good 15 mintues before they joined my room. Trey is an Air Force lifer and has been in OGC for years now. The joke in our clan is that we need a "Trey to English dictionary" to understand a damn word that dude says. Dont get me wrong- hes friggin awesome, but he has a DEEP southern drawl and talks very fast to boot. The end result is that 99% of what he says sounds like "heyeyeyeyeeheemoooooo" or something like that. So, combine that with the utter RANDOMNESS of claiming a snake attack during a war...you have some outright funny shit. "HEYYAGUYSIGOTTAGORIGHTTHISDARNEDSECONDTHERESASNAKEHEARTHEKIDSYAHEAR?GONNAGOGITMETHATSNAKEDONEKILLEDBACKINAFLASH" and the BEST part is that he rushes back, pronounces the snake dead- and then gets a much needed kill to help secure the victory. now THATS why I recruited that sick son a bitch!

no worries, the Ol gents can take a joke, as a group we're generally thick skinned and damned good looking. annnnyyywaaayyyy- to the ill gamers, nothin i can say that hasnt been said already except that im looking forward to getting my troops on the same battlefield as yours again soon.

iG put together a real solid game plan last night and carried through with good execution. Congrats to the ill gamers, and I'd also like to say thank you to both the admins here at UF as well as the troops of [OGC] that prepared and took the clan to the championship round. Heck of a job last night fellas--- that was the closest war we've played, in which it was decided by probably .2 seconds on that bomb timer! Looking forward to seeing you guys on the battlefield again soon.
