Exactly, i'm not trying to make socom look bad. I hope socom turns out to be a better game than cod4. I just think they are trying to model some of the gameplay after cod4 since it is the best shooter for the new systems so far. -

Sprint button stuff, special "perks for clans", those are two things that are pretty similar(spelt wrong) to cod4. Who knows though, we just have to wait until the game comes out. ***Side Note*** If anyone wants the MGS beta, you need to go pre-order it from gamestop before they run out. The beta starts later this month. -

To me it seems like it's going to be a 3rd person version of cod4, not sure if that is a good or bad thing. -
Feather your picture, it will make it blend in more. Search the internet for tutorials, they'll help you learn new stuff.

We should have a sig making tourny. Anybody can sign up, then pick names randomly and put them in a bracket. Someone picks a theme for each week and everyone votes on a sig in each match every week. Just a cool little thing that could be done for the gfx people. What do you guys think?

They'll just print more money increasing inflation and make the dollar look worse than it already is. I'm happy for the tax cut, but i dont think it will make a difference.

I think it would be cool if in the last minute or 30 seconds, they would show where everyone left alive is on your radar. Kind of do the same thing that cod4 does durring a sudden death round minus everyone respawning.

I'm just going to keep playing the show and cod4 till they come out with a patch. If they don't have the game fixed by the time grand turismo comes out, i'll trade it in for that...

SOCOM Confrontation Special Forces Unveiled Check out which groups you'll be able to join. By Joe Rybicki, 03/20/2008 As we revealed early this month, the May issue of EGM has a blow-out cover story on SOCOM Confrontation. Along with the loads of other Confrontation info in the story, you'll find a list of all the different special forces included in the game. Joining a special force is now a perk associated with joining a clan; solo players will still be able to play as either commandos or mercenaries, but special forces (and their associated uniforms, gear, and weapons) will only be available to clan members. We got the list a little bit wrong in the mag. So here, for the first time anywhere, is the complete, correct lineup of special forces available at launch, complete with links to Wikipedia entries for the real-life organizations. * Navy Sea, Air, and Land (SEALs, United States) * Special Air Service (SAS, United Kingdom) * Kommando Spezialkräfte (KSK, Germany) * Unidad de Operaciones Especiales (UOE, Spain) * 1er Régiment de Parachutistes d'Infanterie de Marine (1er RPIMa, France) To reiterate, neither Italy's COMSUBIM nor France's GIGN will be included in the game... at least not in the initial release. It definately fixed the sniper rifles because everyone is sniping now. All the rooms I played in yesterday over half of the players in the room were sniping, kinda reminded me of socom. I'm getting vegas today, hopefully it will be a good break from cod4.

I don't think it's a big deal. Who's to say what you or I should do in our free time. As long as you are contributing to society (taxes, crime-free, etc...) in some way, i dont care what you spend your money on or how you choose to run your social life. If someone wants to buy stuff for their virtual world, then let them do it. I would never buy a tv for my ps3 house, but if someone else wants to then that's their decision. As for kids, it's the parents job to govern what goes on in their house. Telephone, tv, cell phone, computers/internet, video games... Those products have brought up the same discussion. The list will continue to grow and the same debate will continue...

Just make the teams small with maybe two subs each, that way everyone will get to play.

I wouldn't base anything on wikipedia. Anybody can go and edit that stuff. It should be right seeing as 1up said it and they have the cover story comming up and all. -

It pisses me off when i shoot somebody in the head and they still get a knife kill off...wtf. If Socom has good hit detection maybe it wouldn't be a problem. -

I dont think it does too much. Maybe they're getting the ps3 ready for the cod4 patch.
