Extreme arcade action! A fresh sci-fi setting! Two-player split-screen! A pounding soundtrack! That’s all in Nano Assault NEO-X, our PS4 debut game. We’ve been doing action games for 15 years. All that experience went directly into creating our latest game, and we’re really looking forward to the reactions of PS4 owners. What’s in it? Blast viruses in a microscopic world. Battle gigantic boss creatures. Collect credits to upgrade your ship with powerful weapons to survive. Collect the B-O-N-U-S letters to enter the bonus round for quick extra credits. The best thing about Nano Assault NEO-X is the microscopic cellular world for you to explore. Ever looked through a scanning electron microscope? That’s our game world. You traverse the outer hull of cells and fight infections in twin-stick, shooter style. Sound exciting? It really is! We’re quite proud of the look and feel of that world. Super smooth 60 frames per second gameplay, 1080p visuals, 7.1 surround sound, non-stop action, hyperspeed bonus rounds, gorgeous light effects, two-player co-op, and much, much more, make Nano Assault NEO-X without a doubt the best action game we ever created. Also, you can upgrade your vessel with up to four satellites. Pause the game anytime and change the position and shooting direction of your satellites to your liking. We put a lot of work into creating a simple yet deep scoring system, because we think that comparing your scores with friends and other players online is what makes arcade shooters great fun to play. There are online rankings for all levels, so you can post your high scores for the world to see. Even the guys in the office still find new ways to improve their scores and we’re really excited to see how the players out there can maximize their combo multiplier. View the full article

Dragon Age: Inquisition, the latest chapter in BioWare’s sweeping fantasy saga, wastes no time beginning its urgent, world-splitting story. Truth be told, the developers have sewn a great amount of detail onto the main menu alone. Starting a new game catapults the idyllic scene of a snowy peace summit into utter devastation. And that’s just the menu. For those who have followed previous chapters of Dragon Age, the story is dense and rich with lore. But when a seething, green portal opens in our world and welcomes in legions of demons, players have a straightforward cause to rally behind. In Dragon Age: Inquisition, players follow the story of a survivor that emerges from this demonic blast (almost) unscathed. The site of the explosion had been host to a peace summit organized by Divine Justinia, who sought an end to the strife between mages and Templars. With those plans wholly awry, the main character — the Inquisitor — is tasked with upholding Justinia’s legacy and hunting down the demonic agents haunting the realm. Despite the gravity of the situation and the massive cast of characters, Inquisition outlines clear goals and motives for all. It helps newcomers acclimate to the world, and learn about the warring powers over time. A thick codex also documents characters, locations, and legends for those who want to dive deeper into the lore of the Dragon Age universe. In true BioWare form, Inquisition’s branching dialogue system lets players choose whether they want to wander into enriching conversations or cut the chatter short and get back to the action. How the player handles these situations will define not only the main character, but also that character’s relationship to his or her followers. Battles in Inquisition place players in control of one character at a time. But they can switch to any hero in the party at will, issuing commands via a strategic, top-down view, and managing as much or as little as needed. Hit the touch pad, for example, and survey the surrounding terrain to organize attacks, assign spells, and send in melee heroes to begin the assault. Or command followers to stay behind while the Inquisitor stealthily approaches the opposition and takes down any unfortunate stragglers. This system instills a tremendous amount of choice in players, outside of selecting the sex, race, and class of the hero. Organizing party strategies and then defeating foes on the field can involve moment-to-moment decision making, or a more casual approach for the less patient. Difficulty can be adjusted dynamically to accommodate more demanding players. Inquisition ties three followers to the main hero in less than an hour, giving players control of a full party before the world has even opened up with its packed docket of quests. Strolling through wintery peaks and forests will quickly introduce players to villagers that need help, have requests, or are just victims of the wars raging throughout the realm. These quests can be undertaken or ignored at a player’s leisure, which again, highlights player choice and the freedom for newcomers to skim the shallows or dive deep into the content offered. Outside of questing, one of the most enthralling aspects of Inquisition is just that: the Inquisition. Building an army, equipping it, and customizing strongholds showers players with options, breathing a sense of ownership into the conflict that makes every battle more personal. And when that customization extends from the hero herself to the whole damn Inquisition, players will feel a real connection with the struggle of Dragon Age: Inquisition — newcomers and veterans alike. Dragon Age: Inquisition launches on November 18th for PS4 and PS3. View the full article

It’s top sellers time! Let’s see who ruled the PlayStation Store charts last month: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor led the charge on PS4 (and word on the street is it was well-deserved), with NBA 2K15 and Minecraft nipping at its heels. Slender: The Arrival and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel came in just behind the mighty Minecraft on PS3, and Freedom Wars made an extra-strong debut on Vita, especially considering it only had a few days to catch up after launching on 10/28. As always, head on over to the European PS.Blog to see how these games stacked up over there. November’s looking pretty huge for game releases… who’s gonna come out on top? It’s hugely exciting to be bringing the world of Terraria to PS4. We didn’t feel it was necessary to tinker with the core mechanics of the game, which have underpinned its success to date, but we’ve definitely been able to take this console version to the next level and implement some fantastic new features in the process – It looks amazing running in HD on PS4 too! The first thing to talk about is the scale of the PS4 version, which is almost triple the size of the original PS3 game. A truly huge amount of content and features have been added, with well over 1,000 new items including 10 new ores, 4 new wood types, 31 new brick types, 12 new wing types, 29 new tinker combinations, 50 new paintings, 8 new friendly NPCs, 15 new pets, over 100 new enemies, 4 new bosses … the list goes on, and on! We’ve also listened to feedback from the community and looked at how people play the original console games to figure out where slight improvements might be made. We wanted to address the immense scale of Terraria’s world, which can actually be a blessing and a curse! Now players will be able to ‘pinch’ to zoom in and out on DualShock 4′s touch pad, which is really simple and intuitive but makes a huge and immediate difference when playing the game. We’re also working hard on a World Map companion app for mobile and tablet devices, which you’ll be able to download for free to see where you are in the PS4 game in real-time, and work out what kind of interesting (or scary!) stuff is all around you. Finally, we’re thrilled that PS4 players will be able to cross-play with the PS3 and PS Vita versions of the game, whether you want to transfer your save games or enjoy cross-platform multiplayer; joining up to fight bosses together, building added-awesome castles, or duelling each other in PvP combat! To celebrate this feature and the launch of Terraria on PS4 we’re even bundling the PS Vita version for a limited time, so you’ll get the Vita version for free when you buy the game on PS4! The PS4 version of Terraria really is the ultimate console version of the game that’s beloved by millions of Terrarians already – we hope you love it too! View the full article

Hi everyone, my name is Kendal and I’m the CEO and lead programmer at Spiky Fish Games. We’re excited to announce that our debut game, Sketchcross, is launching exclusively for PS Vita in early 2015. Sketchcross is a logic puzzler based on the nonogram ruleset. If you’re not familiar, think of a mix between crosswords and sudoku. You’re given number clues on the rows and columns to help sketch in the corresponding squares on the grid. Doing so starts to reveal the picture you’re creating. A full-fledged nonogram-based game has not yet been fully realized for Playstation here in North America, and we were determined to change that. Sketchcross will launch with 50 puzzles ranging from simple 5×5 shapes to complex 30×30 animals. The game has been designed to be easily expandable and our plan is to offer additional puzzles after launch. Solving puzzles reveals the completed shape in block form, solving all the puzzles in a book awards the player that book’s unique trophy. Trophy’s are stored in your trophy room and are accessible at any time. Additionally, each puzzle has a time leaderboard where you can compare your completed times with the world and friends. Sketchcross features Normal and Frenzy mode. In Frenzy mode you’re given a short amount of time to complete a randomly generated puzzle. It’s a race against the clock that tests your puzzle solving skills. I can’t wait to see how many puzzles players can finish without running out of time! Our team has been working really hard and I’m so excited to share this announcement with you. Feel free to leave a question or comment and I’ll try and answer all of them. View the full article

When the original Killzone came out for PS2 on November 2nd, 2004, we had no way of knowing its red-goggled antagonists would go on to invade four additional console platforms, five more Killzone games, nine other PlayStation titles, a toy line, a novelization and a manga. But here we are, ten years later, and the world of Killzone is bigger than ever. We’re very proud of how far we’ve come, and to mark this joyous occasion we’re going to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Killzone with the people who made it all possible – you, our loyal fans. Here’s what you can look forward to in the coming month. We hope you’re as thrilled about Killzone’s 10th Anniversary as we are, and we’d love to hear what your favorite Killzone moments from the past decade are in the comments below. Free StuffExpand your Killzone Shadow Fall multiplayer experience with these free maps and items: New ‘The Academy’ Multiplayer Map Arguably Killzone 2’s most popular multiplayer map, Radec Academy (named after Autarch Visari’s right-hand man and fan-favorite antagonist, Colonel Radec) is coming to Killzone Shadow Fall. We briefly revisited a collapsed version of this map in the From The Ashes DLC for Killzone 3, but this time around the ravages of war have really left a mark on the Academy. Two New Cooperative Maps In addition to the competitive multiplayer version, The Academy will also be released as a free cooperative map for Killzone Shadow Fall Intercept, along with a second cooperative map known as The Weapons Facility. We’ll have more detailed descriptions and trailers for the new maps on killzone.com soon! View the full article

Hello, PlayStation.Blog readers! My name is Ciro and I’m part of Kalio, a small independent studio in Uruguay. We are thrilled to announce that our latest game Ring Run Circus will be launching on PS Vita and Playstation TV on November 11th, 2014. The launch price will be $9.99, with PS Plus members receiving a 20% off discount for a limited time. Ring Run Circus is a unique sort of game which we like to call a “ring-formerâ€: an action-puzzle game set in a dream world of connected rings. Players take the role of three uniquely talented acrobats — Nina, Ned, and Nelson — and help them navigate this strange world full of hazards, circus animals, and tricky puzzles. The goal of each level is to grab the colorful key and get to the exit door as quickly as possible leaving no stars behind. The controls are quite simple; one button to ride on the outside or inside of the rings, and another one to activate each acrobat’s special ability: Nina jumps, Ned punches, and Nelson triggers mechanisms to move rings around. Don’t let the seemingly simple controls deceive you, though. There is enough challenge waiting, not only for your skill — proper timing to change rings, slapping enemies, jumping — but also for your wits: these puzzles are taken from the dreams of a bunch of mad men after all. In fact, the goal of the game is to understand who Nina, Ned, and Nelson really are. And why is there a man with slicked-up hair meditatively looking out the window in every cutscene? This man is named Ringo, by the way, and he happens to be an amazing acrobat. He is also a bit stressed out. Can you imagine why? Anyway, what’s interesting about the game is that you’ve never experienced a platformer like this one before, mainly because it’s not a platformer in the first place. It feels quite different from one and thus we chose to call it a ring-former. Also, the mix of skill and puzzle splits gameplay in two phases: solving the puzzle and finishing the level in the shortest amount of time possible to climb the rankings. There are more than 50 levels (some of them with what someone called “old-school sensibilitiesâ€), a ton of Trophies, and the mighty rankings, of course. For the curious folk, Ring Run Circus was inspired by a bowl of washers. Yes. Bowl. Metal washers. The long story can be found on our blog. The short story is that we were challenged by the fantastic Kokoromi Gamma 4 showcase for one button games in 2010 and we could not let the idea go away, so we spent about 3 years banging our heads until the fun emerged from the cracked skulls and loose nuts and washers. We went through many iterations (including making it a two-button game, instead of one) and discovered something we had always suspected: making new and original games is really, really hard. We are very happy to publish our first console game (making our childhood dreams come true) in the best way possible: by joining the PlayStation family. We’re eternally grateful to Mike Foster and all the Latin America developer incubation program team for making it happen. Stay tuned for more games from Kalio and see you in the rankings! Hey PS Plus fans — we wanted to give you a sneak peek at our December and January PS4 free games lineup for Plus. Before we reveal our PS4 lineup, we understand many of you are waiting for DRIVECLUB PS Plus Edition to be added to the Instant Game Collection, and we apologize that the game is not yet ready to launch. We want you to know that we’re committed to providing DRIVECLUB PS Plus Edition to members when it’s ready, and the Evolution team is working hard to make it a reality. In the meantime, we want to make sure you still have some amazing free games to play throughout the holidays, so check out the great lineup we have in store for you guys! In December, we’re excited to add Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition and Secret Ponchos to PS4’s IGC lineup. As one of the biggest fighting games, Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition is the first AAA Blu-ray title to join the Instant Game Collection for PS4, and we think you’ll really enjoy playing it since DRIVECLUB PS Plus Edition is not available yet. For January’s PS4 lineup, we’re adding the hit games inFAMOUS First Light and The Swapper for PS4. We hope you’ll enjoy this new lineup for PS4 over the holidays. Which one are you looking forward to most? View the full article

Here at PlayStation, we are extremely grateful for the service that our U.S. Armed Forces provide for us every single day. I’m delighted to announce today that PlayStation will serve as the first-ever partner of NBA Cares Hoops for Troops, a year-round initiative led by the league, its teams, and players to support the members of the U.S. Armed forces and their families. Through this initiative the NBA and PlayStation, in conjunction with the USO, will host Hoops for Troops service projects throughout the season at military bases around the country providing the bases with PS4 systems and games as well as basketball hoop installations. We could not be more excited to have the opportunity to support the NBA’s Hoops for Troops program and the U.S. servicemen and women who do so much for us all. View the full article

First Person Mode gives Grand Theft Auto V players on PS4 the chance to explore the world of Los Santos and Blaine County directly through the eyes of their character, revealing all the world’s glorious details in an entirely new way. Available in both GTAV and GTA Online, Rockstar Games has made a host of changes to accommodate this new perspective, including the creation of an optional first-person cover system, a new targeting system, a more traditional FPS control scheme, and integrating thousands of new animations into the existing game. It’s also available at the touch of a button so you can easily switch back and forth between perspectives. Alongside the new First Person mode, Grand Theft Auto V for PS4 features hundreds of additions and enhancements including 1080p resolution at 30FPS. Grand Theft Auto V for PS4 is coming November 18th. And don’t forget, you can transfer your previous Grand Theft Auto Online characters and progression from PS3 or Xbox 360 to PS4. Playing a musical instrument is a lifelong journey. No matter when you start, you’re never really done — there’s always something new to learn. So if you started learning how to play guitar or bass on PS3 with Rocksmith or Rocksmith 2014, it’s only natural that you’d want to continue on your PS4. Well, here’s good news: as of today, you’ll be able to pick up Rocksmith 2014 on PS4 — and if you do, a dozen Jimi Hendrix songs are headed your way next month, for free. The PS4 version of Rocksmith 2014 Edition contains all the content of its predecessor; nothing has been removed in the transition to the latest hardware. You’ll get 55 songs from bands like Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Boston, Slayer, Foo Fighters, and Aerosmith (just to name a handful), plus interactive lessons that cover everything from how to tune and change your guitar strings up through complex chords, pinch harmonics, and two-hand tapping. Beyond the song library, Rocksmith 2014 offers Guitarcade mode, a retro-style mini-game collection that makes you forget you’re actually building valuable skills; Session Mode, which encourages you to stretch out and improvise with a customizable backing band that follows your direction; and a detailed Tone Designer, a sonic playground of amps and effects where you can dial in the exact sounds you hear in your head. Whether you’ve never picked up a guitar or bass before or you’re a seasoned musician looking for fresh inspiration, Rocksmith 2014 offers a complete package. You’ll find some PS4-specific perks, too. The visuals are now 1080p native, so the note highways and detailed lesson videos will look better than ever before. Thanks to the PS4′s built-in Share functionality, you’ll be able to stream your Session Mode jams or Guitarcade playthroughs directly to Twitch with the touch of a button. And if you’re a PlayStation Vita owner, you can use Remote Play to send Rocksmith 2014 to your portable screen and practice even when you’re not plugged in. If you are one of those returning players I mentioned at the start, here’s great news: any DLC songs you’ve purchased on your PS3 will be downloadable on PS4 at no additional cost. That includes the DLC songs that came out for the original Rocksmith back in 2011! (Patience, though — since we’re talking about several hundred songs, we expect them to become available by the end of the year). Plus, anyone who picks up the PS4 edition before January 31st, 2015 will be able to download a dozen songs by guitar legend Jimi Hendrix absolutely free. These songs won’t be released until December 16th, but when they’re released, all PS4 owners can download them at no cost: Purple Haze The Wind Cries Mary Fire Little Wing Bold As Love Foxey Lady Castles Made Of Sand Freedom Manic Depression If 6 Was 9 Voodoo Child (Slight Return) Red House The Jimi Hendrix 12-song pack would normally cost $29.99 — and it will, after January 31st — so make sure you download them on PS4 from the in-game Shop menu item during that magic freebie period starting mid-December. They’ll keep you challenged! If learning to play guitar or bass is one of your lifelong goals, Rocksmith 2014 might be the way to finally achieve it. Through Rocksmith 2014, we’ve seen people learn to play in just 60 days — and you might be surprised at what you can do, too. View the full article

For fans who’ve been waiting to play The Wolf Among Us on PS4 or PS Vita, the wait is over! All 5 episodes in the season are now available in stores and via download, and the whole season is also available on PS3 at retail for the first time today. And in case you missed it earlier, The Walking Dead: Season Two is now available on PS4 and Vita as well! The Wolf Among Us looks just as gorgeous on Vita as it does on a bigger screen with the PS4. When we first started working on the series, we implemented some new stuff in our engine to make the visuals look as much as possible like a moving comic book, and both the Vita and PS4 do a fantastic job of showing that off. Not sure what The Wolf Among Us is all about? It’s a Telltale episodic series based on the award-winning Fables comics by Bill Willingham, where fairytale characters are real and live in exile in New York City. Don’t be fooled by its fairytale origins though; this is definitely a mature title. As Sheriff Bigby Wolf (THE Big Bad Wolf), you’ll find the story is kicked off by a brutal, bloody murder, but that’s really just the beginning of what turns out to be a very deep, dark, and dangerous rabbit hole… As ever, thanks for reading — and if you’ve already played Wolf, thanks for sharing this season with us! Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments below. View the full article

Divekick Addition Edition + has finally arrived on PS4! This update to Destructoid’s 2013 Fighting Game of the Year is available now for just $9.99. But what is Divekick? Divekick is the world’s first two-button fighting game. It distills the essence of the fighting game genre into just two buttons with no d-pad directional movement. Divekick’s focused gameplay demonstrates how much depth a single move actually has, and introduces (or reinforces) skills fundamental to the genre: mind games, spacing, timing, and quick reactions. Fans all over the world dove headfirst into Divekick last year and found a very simple to learn, but very difficult to master head to head competitive experience. In fact, weekly online tournaments are still happening to this very day! If you purchased Divekick for PS3 or PS Vita, fear not! The Addition Edition + update is completely free and will be available to you shortly. You’ll be able to enjoy GGPO-powered online cross play, allowing you to fight against players on the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. A world of competition awaits you. Divekick’s original release was named in the top 10 overall games of the year (2013) by Ars Technica, Amazon, and Giant Bomb, showing that even players who aren’t usually into fighting games have found a lot to love in Divekick. We’ve added even more content to Addition Edition +, including a brand new stage and our first guest character, Johnny Gat from Saints Row IV! You can play through the single player story mode to find out why Johnny Gat is stuck in the Divekick world, or enjoy playing through with any of the other 13 warriors to learn more about them. Iron Galaxy is committed to updating Divekick AE+ with additional free DLC characters so long as the game is active online. Our first free character update will be revealed soon, so stay tuned to the Playstation Blog and to our twitter @Divekickgame! View the full article

Retro City Rampage: DX, the top-to-bottom remaster of the original game will make its PS4 debut along with the brand new PS3 and PS Vita DX versions this November 11th, complete with cross buy and cross save for all three consoles. With a 20% off PlayStation Plus launch week discount, you’ll get all three for $7.99 ($9.99 without Plus). That’s only around $3 for each platform, and much less than the original RCR’s $14.99 launch price. So What’s ‘DX,’ Exactly? Those who’ve been following RCR will know just how much the game has changed since the original launch. Within weeks of the original RCR’s 2012 release, updates made vehicles faster, added more checkpoints, tutorials, hints screens, and tweaked missions. Those changes made great improvements, but still just scratched the surface. DX is a top-to-bottom remastering of just about everything. For DX, every single mission’s been re-tuned. Vehicles. Weapons. Challenges. Visual Effects. Visual Enhancements. Checkpoints. Difficulty. Challenges. From the game’s core to sprinkles on top, such as parking garages and waypoints, it’s more than just a new coat of paint. The care I put into the game was reciprocated when DX was released on 3DS earlier this year. I felt more love from players and reviewers than ever before, earning almost unanimous 9/10s across the board and sales to match. After the chaos and stress surrounding the original 2012 launch, things finally came together according to plan and the reception I yearned for followed. Retooling the game for the smaller screen also really taught me a lot about its play experience. I saw how a closer more dynamic camera, brewed out of hardware limitations, actually made things feel more exciting. Selecting weapons from a grid instead of cycling through them made combat more fluid. The changes added up, and it was clear they’d be at home on HD systems too. Not just for the TV, but for the PS Vita as well – boasting not just a new zoom mode and touch functionality, but a completely new UI specifically for the handheld. So, after the many months of working on this is secret, I’m incredibly excited be able to not only announce it, but announce it with a solid release date! No more “coming soon†this time! It’s a wrap! November 11th, 2014! Retro City Rampage: DX includes both RCR:DX and the original RCR for the purists. Big overhauls were made to re-balance the missions, difficulty, weapons and even police AI, but if you want to stick with the original version, you can flip the switch under the Help & Options menu. New zoom modes, a dynamic camera and a new lightweight HUD bring you closer to the action. Up close, the action packs more punch and driving feels much faster. The new 3X zoom option’s tailored specifically for the PS Vita, but also available on PS3 and PS4. Car engines were beefed up in RCR updates after the very first release two years ago, but the new dynamic camera doubles the *ooOOMPH!*. You’ll feel the difference when you compare 1X to 3X zoom and economy cars start to feel sportier. Once again though, purists can still play with the original zoom mode and original status bar style HUD. The two graphics modes give you the option to amp the graphics up or trim them back. The updated “RETRO+†graphics mode delivers more eye candy with better shadows and more effects. The new “8-BIT†mode on the other hand, makes the game look even closer to something dug up from the ’80s. More video filter options are also included, from color modes to a widescreen tube border. You can now also eliminate the border completely but still use the scanline or dot-matrix filters. MissionsEvery single mission has been touched up, offering a better experience overall. Certain missions have been edited to improve pacing. In Death Cam VHS, for example, you won’t need to clear so many enemies during the melee section. During the car dodge tutorial, you won’t need to jump so much. It’s little changes like this which just make for a smoother ride. They’ve also been hand tuned to work with the new 3X zoom mode, making the new PS Vita experience the best it can be. Controls and WeaponsControls have been tweaked. You can now jump immediately after firing weapons, making dodging enemies even easier. Weapons have been rebalanced, some boasting more damage, many with more satisfying effects. The cars and explosions blast more effects too – but purists can still stick to the classic “8-BIT†for more authentic ’80s experience. A new weapon select screen can be toggled, pausing the game mid-action and enabling you to more easily switch weapons when your inventory’s full. It also supports touch on the PS Vita. The PS4 version also has optional vibration support in case you want to feel the pixels thud under your pixel tires. Arcade Challenges and TrophiesThe weapon updates noticeably improve the Arcade Challenges, but many challenges have been reworked themselves as well. Second-Rate Sprees, for example, now run 30 seconds instead of 60, tightening rounds up to dethrone your friends from the leaderboards. Two completely separate sets of leaderboards are now included, so ‘RCR:DX’ players won’t be facing off directly against players of the original ‘RCR’ mode. With the freedom to rework things from top to bottom, ‘DX’ was able to boast a brand new trophy set too, which is now easier to 100%. Hijacking WeaponsThe city now has more to do, populated with weapon trucks. Getting the right tool for the job is now a lot more convenient. You can purchase your weapons or try your luck and attempt to hijack them. Spelunky shop keeper style, so to speak. Losing the CopsThe wanted level system and police AI have been deepened to create more of a cat and mouse metagame. Instead of running, if you stop to fight, clearing the screen of cops will help get them off your tail. Defeating three or more cops will spawn a Cop Coin which lowers your wanted level. You can still also spray your vehicle, find coins, or change your look with a new haircut, but this makes it much more fun and convenient. It’s balanced out with slightly more challenging police. If want to make things even more challenging, you can disable the coin drops from the pause menu. Minimap, Touch and UIThe new HUD brings a larger minimap with it, which now displays more than just missions and challenges, also weapon, spray and power-up shops, as well as enemies. You can also set it to display other locations, such as specific shops. The larger minimap makes navigating the city much easier as you’re able to see all of the roads and alleys ahead, choosing the optimal route to a destination. You can zoom into the minimap with a single button press now, as well as set waypoints. The entire front end and UI have been redone for the PS Vita, including touch support. Parking Garages‘DX’ brings massive parking garages to Theftropolis. You can park one of every vehicle equipped however you like (that’s 54 parking spots!), and access them from any other garage around the city like a vehicle teleporter! JukeboxFor chiptune fanatics, ‘DX’ now includes a 147 track music jukebox, enabling you to queue up hours of the incredible music composed by Jake ‘virt’ Kaufman, Freaky DNA and Norrin Radd. The PlayStation Scoop! In case you missed it, it’s 3X Cross Buy! Yup! The PS4, PS3 and PS Vita versions of DX all sold together as one for only $7.99 for PlayStation Plus members during the launch week ($9.99 without Plus). Owners of the original Retro City Rampage for PS3 and PS Vita can transfer their save games to the new DX version via Cross-Save. The new DX version is a separate purchase, but keep in mind that with DX, you’re getting the PS4 version, a brand new Trophy set and new leaderboards. Owners of the original RCR who transfer their save game to DX will also earn a shiny elite star next to their score on the leaderboards. Last call! The original Retro City Rampage will be delisted from the PS Store and replaced with Retro City Rampage: DX in order to avoid customer confusion. While DX includes a mode to play the original RCR, if for some reason you would prefer the pure original, grab it before it’s too late. If you already own the original RCR, you not be affected by this. You will still be able to re-download it indefinitely, at any time. The delisting will only prevent new purchases. That’s not all though! More Retro City Rampage surprises are still to be announced in the coming month. A pretty big one, in fact! Follow @RetroCR on Twitter or Retro City Rampage on Facebook to keep up to date. Keep an eye on http://RetroCityRampage.com too. That’s all for now! Drop your questions in the comments below! Hey Vita fans! Andreas Firnigl here again. I’m one of the guys at Nosebleed Interactive, the folks bringing you The Hungry Horde for PS Vita. We’ve been working super hard for the last few months to make the game feel as slick and polished as possible so I’m really excited and proud to finally be able to tell you that you’ll be able to race up the leaderboards and compete with friends tomorrow when the game finally rises from the grave… and goes live on PlayStation Store. In case you missed our first PlayStation.Blog post here’s a quick recap on the basics of the game. The core premise is that you play as your very own horde of zombies fighting for survival (a sort of reverse survival horror, I suppose). Humans you “recruit†join your ever increasing horde in a constant race against the clock to escape the area before the military nuke you. The guys over at XDEV Studio Europe were kind enough to send me over to Gamescom in August (thanks chaps!) where we had a short demo on the show floor. All of us were equal parts anxious and excited to see what the players would think of it. I spent a lot of time watching people play and it was an amazing feeling seeing people laugh and smile at the demo. What was especially cool, was seeing people have “just one more goâ€, which at a show where the likes of The Order: 1886 and Project Morpheus were playable just round the corner, was wonderful. As we covered in the last post, The Hungry Horde is chock full of minigames. You can find them hidden in presents within the main game, and they offer a little breather from the hectic action as well as a chance to win extra prizes. Everybody has their favorite, so I thought I’d share a bit about my own: Pacifist Island. In it, you play as a lone zombie on a beautiful tropical island, just minding your own business. You’re not the usual rage-filled, bloodthirsty undead type. You like peace and quiet and coconuts. Unfortunately, the military aren’t quite so diplomatic and they’re out to get you. Survive as long as possible by dodging bullets and positioning yourself so the soldiers, tanks and helicopters hit each other instead of you. A lot of the inspiration for Pacifist Island has come from bullet-hell shooters — we even threw in some cool, coconut-based power-ups for good measure. Of course there are more mini-games, like the light gun inspired Cryo Crisis and microscopic-collect-em-up Infection, but you’ll have to play the game to see what they’re about! One of the things we haven’t shown off yet is the sticker album. We really wanted everything in our game to feel tangible and tactile, from the playable arcade cabinets and ghetto-blaster right through to the menu system. Our menu is set up like a sticker album with over 150 collectible stickers. Special foil stickers unlock minigames and extras and everything looks and feels like you’re flicking through a real sticker book. We’re hoping people are going to love earning stickers, opening packs and trying to fill the book. There’s a lot to do. And on the subject of “lots to doâ€, another thing we haven’t spoken about yet is Trophies. We LOVE trophies! It took a bit of persuasion but after seeing the Trophies we had planned our producer at XDEV said “Yes, I’ll make sure you guys can have Platinum Trophy support.†If that’s not enough for you though, we also have 150 in-game objectives to complete, you know, just because they’re fun! Happy Halloween, everyone! Halloween happens to fall on a Friday this year, and to celebrate the kickoff of a Halloween weekend the SuckerPunch developers will host a special Twitch treat. Three years ago, after inFAMOUS 2 shipped, we looked at the calendar and realized we had the perfect window to do something really fun… a Halloween themed inFAMOUS DLC! That’s when Festival of Blood came to life as a tall tale Zeke Dunbar rattles off in a bar to impress a lady patron. His tale follows Cole McGrath on a quest through the streets and grave yards of New Marais. Cole is racing against the clock to kill the vampire that bit him before he turns into a child of the night forever. Festival of Blood is one of our favorites, so we’d like to invite you to join us as we take a walk down memory lane this Halloween. Tune in to our livestream at 4:00 PM Pacific and watch Jason Connell, Jason Stansell, and Billy Harper play inFAMOUS Festival of Blood with you and give you all the juicy details behind the game! If you haven’t played it yet, inFAMOUS Festival of Blood is available for download from the PlayStation Store. View the full article

The team here at Ready At Dawn are finishing up The Order: 1886, with just a little under 4 months until the game is released worldwide on February 20th, 2015. Sir Galahad (below) is our mustached leader of the Knights of the Order, and it also happens to be November later this week. What happens when you combine mustaches with November? You get Movember, and we want you to join The Order team to help raise money for charity. More information about Movember can be found here, and this entire event is for all, regardless of gender. Even if you cannot or do not want to grow a mustache, you can still help! We’ve compiled a list below of all the ways you can join Ready At Dawn, The Order: 1886, and Movember in changing the face of men’s health. Starting November 1st, you can: Start growing a mustache and join our official team on the Movember website. Start “growing†a fake mustache, or draw one across your upper lip, and join our team. Donate either to “The Order†team, or to any of the participants within our team. Follow along with our progress on @RAD_Studios and @TheOrder1886 on Twitter. Take a photo of yourself with a DualShock 4 as a replacement for a mustache and share it with the world, along with a link to our Movember page: http://bit.ly/TheOrderMovember. Don’t forget to tag it with #DS4Movember! To kick off number 5, the co-founders of Ready At Dawn, Ru Weerasuriya and Andrea Pessino, will be the first to show off their own custom DualShock 4 mustaches, ready for #DS4Movember ahead. Will you join us? As a final note, we’ll also have a very special guest joining The Order Movember team, Sir Galahad himself. He’s taken a straight edge to his iconic mustache, and will growing it back throughout the month, all in the name of The Order Movember. He was even gracious enough to provide us with a photo of his clean upper lip, and promised to update his status during Movember. Thank you to everyone for reading this, and we really hope you choose to participate with the team inside Ready At Dawn. Remember that once you join our team, start spreading the word by asking your friends, family, and random internet strangers to donate to Movember, and change the face of men’s health.
