that is why the title of this thread refers to backyard mechanics, and not real mechanics. real mechanics work in a heated shop, have lotsa tool, service manuals, things like thta. this was a lil something for the guys who do their own shit in their own driveway in any weather. sorry to offend you -

i didnt want to take it off, thats the point. this is just a way i found to keep it in place. there are 11 pulleys on the front of the motor the less i have to take the belt off of, the better off i am No Doubt. I miss the old days. It's more efficient today and better on gas mileage they say but dang it makes it hard to work on this stuff ourselves. more efficient i suppose, but ya lose a belt you lose EVERTHING!!! my 79 ford and my 85 chevy had v-belts and were slightly modified to use the same size belt on everything, so if i lost any one belt, i could steal another to get me home. -
nope, no sixth season. the whole story was writeen and broken up into 5 seasons, and when it was done, it was done. i will give HBO a lot of props for knowing that tv shows cant run forever,snd they are excellent at knowing when to stop.

i just got the box set which includes all 5 seasons of this show,and if you have never seen it, you need to. this is probably the bets series that hbo has ever produced, and the best series i have ever seen on television.

so i dont know how many of you work on your own cars/trucks but i found a cool trick today and thought id share in case any of you run across this kind of thing in the future. so if you have ever changed a serpentine belt, the 2 minutes taking it off does not justify the 2 hours trying to get it back on. in the past, i have used service manuals and even drawn my own routing charts. one belt around 14 pulleys is just ridiculous. so today i had to remove the belt on a 2004 dodge with a 5.7L gas engine, and it was about 23 degrees outside. instead of playin around and getting frustrated, i got enough slack in the belt to get it off the alternator, the ultimate goal, then holding the belt fairly snug with one hand, i duct taped it to the next two pulleys in the loop. that way, i only had slack wher i needed it, and the rest of the belt stayed right in place til i was finished. once the new alternator was in place, i help the belt to it, pulled the tape, and pried back the tensioner till i could get the last pully into the belt. dunno if this will help anyone, but thought id share just in case

congrats dub. nice to see a guy happy and in love. now heres something that i did, and you may wanna think about. before i bought an engagement ring, i founs an old ring that my GF wore sometimes. i tried it on my finger, and found out how it fit, then when i went to the jewelry store to purchase, i had em get out the little size thingy and sized a ring to fit the same way here old one did. then when i got it, even thought it was store bought, there was a little something extra knowing it fit her, and wasnt a buy it now make it fit later kinda of thing. kinda like your girl. she fits you now, she isnt something you want to fit later. -
you have got a great point there wiz. anytime anybody tries to manipulate a system or look for a backdoor that they believe will go unnoticed and benifit them, when they get caught it is always remembered. but how it is remembered is wether or not they stood up and admitted their wrong doing, or if they tried to argue and justify it.

when yuu get to the plane, one guy should clear the ground, while the pother guys watches behind you. you can hear a change in the music when the juggernaut comes. tube the juggernaut, and it will slow him down enough for the guy in front to turn around and help you kill him. watch as a second one will come from behind you also. when the ground is clear, jump down and run to your left. one guy stay low, and the other get on the plane in front of you he can snipe as the ground guy uses an assault rifle to clear charging enemies. -

oh, this should be fun... so, i get outta bed usualy around 13:20 or 11 in the mornin. i brush my teeth, grab a green monster outta the fridge, turn on the ps3, and fire up a cig while i wait to sign in. then i fire up my clan forums and the uf forums. i look at about 3 new posts, get bored, check all my emails, see if anybody is on the psn, smoke another cig, then go lay on the couch and watch t.v.

CDBS, i would like to offer you some friendly advice. what you do with it is up to you. from what i know of your clan, it is made up mostly of younger members. by participating herer at urgent fury, you have chosen to put yourself in a majority of older players. there are places that you could play that things like this are acceptable, but here you will find a differerent type of community, and a different style of player. so for future reference, anytime anything of this nature comes across your table, think of the people you play and compete with. im not telling you that youth is the problem, and i applaud you for standing up and admitting what you have done. what i am telling you is to judge your actions by your atmosphere. sometimes the two do not coincide.

okay, so im gonna take back a lil about what i said here. so bama and texas, number 1 and 2. that makes sense. but from there i now have questions after looking closer at the schedule. #3 cincinnati SHOULD be playing #4 tcu, correct? and #5 florida should play #6 boise state, correct? so how the hell didi florida get bumped past tcu to play the #3 team. now im a lil bent, but who in the country isnt, lol.

i am totally excioted for tcu vs boise because they have been recogniozed for their success. i do love to see the big boys get their asses kicked by utah and boise, but when they do, they are downplayed to the bigger school having a bad game. nobody thinks that a non-bcs school could actually have a good team. in the last few years, these altenate divisions have shown some value. at least with this game, tcu and boise got a game they deserve to be in, and will actually be judged on merit rather than how poorly that big shool performed that day.

it is about damn time this years fiesta bowl will include boise state (13-00 and tcu (12-0). it is the first time two non-bcs conference teams have appeared together in a bcs bowl game, and it is fantastic. my only problem is, who the hell do i root for?

wow, the cat is outta the bag. yes, we will be playing a multi console tacmap. monday and wednesday will be on ps3, and tuesdays and thursdays will be on the xbox. friday will be a special treat, and i dont know if i should let this one go public, but we will be downloading mw2 on our iPhOnEs. hopefully, by doing this we can bridge tha gap between xbox players and ps3 players and put some of the arguing about platforms to rest. on a side note, the ps3 part will be the normal 13 weeks, but due to the failure rate of the xbox, we will only play the tuesday/thursday portion of the tournament for approximatley 3 weeks. then we shouldl be out of xbox players.

personally, hugs and flowers is as sensitive as i get. i believe once a guy goes to the crying phase, he just becomes pussy and needs to step away from his manhood. on occasion, i have been known to show sympathy at funerals, but its mostly on the outside as i think of all the reasons the no good sonofabitch deserves to be dead.

could possibly be the number of days left before lucky stars realizes that there is more to life than post whoring the urgent fury forums* *this is loosely based on and average of the number of days it took RNG and CDBS to figure out the same thing, and does not include the days before the timer was put up.

Screw Jimmy Johnson!!! I was pulling for the old guy. I am a big Mark Martin fan. That guy is 50 and is still tearing it up, I hope he continues to race awhile. My young driver is Matt Kenseth. But anyways yes yes very good job again Jimmy, it would be nice if you let someone else win. i am a HUGE mark martin fan, always have been. got the chance to meet him a few years back and he is just one cool guy. i was pullin for him all year, and hope to see him back again for a few more seasons.
