im not sure why this thread lasted 3 pages. its pretty simple. the original question was what is going on. the second post should have been a simple answer... im going to use an example here - ford motor company. it was incorporated in 1903. that was 108 years ago. guess what? the original owners are dead. the original employes are dead. evey customer in the first 10 years is dead!!! but i can go buy a new ford tomorow. urgent fury is the same. owners change, management changes, and clans come and go. sometimes clans just fade away. other times there are mass migrations. but what it boils down to is this. the new owners management need to produce a product that the new customers want to buy. if they dont, they fail. if they do, then they survive to see the next group of owners, the next change in management, and the next cuxtomer base. urgent fury has gone through 2 sets of owners, many many differnt names have worn the management badge in one form or another, and ther have been countless clans that have come and gone. so to answer the question wht is going on here, nothing out of the ordinay. its just day to day buisness. sorry this post is a little delayed. sometimes i troll a little more than i respond.

i remember playing these guys for the finals of riot act. it was intense, it was fun, and we walked away with nothing but respect from a clan that showed us nothing but the same that night. i thought you all would have a championship sooner than this, and its long overdue. congrats SHO!!!

silly question hippy. do you mean 30+ or +30. i dont rememebr a 30+ at urgent fury, but i do know it was a clan cuz i was in +30 with uncle sid and there was often a lotta confusion there

i wanna share som e old school insight with ya ymnbf... i brought my clan to urgent fury before there was a hell week. we set up scrimms with other uf clans, and there was never any complaints about us. we applied and got accepted into a tacmap. we won it. and at the end, we were congratulated by every clan in that tacmap. hell week was a novel idea, but before that clans had to put in the effort to seek out other clans, set up matches, and impress them, back then, you were invited by the owners based on a reputaion, not one week that was handed to you. any clan can be good for 5 days. it takes a real clan to build a rep themselves.

did everyone foget about this post? http://www.urgentfury.com/showthread.php/76511-The-no-longer-in-UF-clan-list. i found it on page 5 of the forums. here is 12 pages of discussion over clans that have left, disbanned, or jus tno longer play here. after today, you can add at least 4 more to this thread. i didnt bother to count, but just cruising through quickly, it looks like somewhere around 40-50 clans have come and gone in the last 6 years. but for some reason, urgent fury is still here. tow and sniper fucked up sometimes. shane, ace, and john fuck up sometimes. they are human, and decisions are made, and when your talkin about a website with hundreds of people all over the world, not everyone is gonna agree. so instead of a bunch a more posts, if your gonna leave, dont let the door hit ya in the ass. to those who are stayin, good luck in all future tournaments. urgent fury was here yesterday, and my dollar says its still here tomorow.

i got this for my pc. two games i could never play on a console is crysis, and f.e.a.r. and i have all of em for my computer. i dunno about release date for ps3, but crysis came out on the computer on the 24th and it is just as good as the first one. the graphics are top notch and gameplay is fantastic.

i used to be very active on these forusm, and in tournaments. ive played her under two tags in the last 5 years and ive always enjoyed being a member of urgent fury. my own clan has changed a lot over the last 2 years, and we have not been as active in tournament s as we once were. but even though i dont post much, ive trolled these forums off and on regularly. lately, there has ben a lot of turmoil here, but the one thign i love is no matter who owns this joint, no matter what clans stay for years, leave in a breathe, or nerge, change names, or just disappear, urgent fury is still here. i have seen the changing of the guard in ownership. i hated it myself, and was shanes biggest opponent. ask him. but ive seen the good and bad take place and im stil here. ive seen the good and bad in staff choices and deciions, and im stil here. ive seen the rangers take charge, and ive seen em do nothing for months, and im stil here. ive also sem the membership at its peak, and seen weeks when i could hardly find 2 new threads. but ya know what? im still here, and all be damned...URGENT FURY IS STILL HERE. we al make mistakes. it happens. we joined a community that does not allow us to sit down and talk things out, we are hundreds or thousands of miles apart, our time zones are different, our lives our different. we will not always agree. ask bandit, me and him never saw eye to eye, and thanks to the distance, maybe never fist to eye, lol. clans come and go, staff comes and goes, members come and go. there will always be some kind of issue, some kind of drama, and some soap opera story to go along with urgent fury. but int he end, urgent fury is still here. i want ot give respect to every clan, every staff member, and every member that posted their apologies when the fires finally died down after the last few days. i logged in tonite to make this post, and urgent fury was still here. it becaus emembers, rangres, staff, and directors dont give up. many people have admitted their mistakes, many will learn from them. some will stay and some will go, but for those who truly love urgent fury, home is where the heart is, and mine is right here.

excellent post bandit. as long as ive known you here, and as much as we have disagreed in the past, i have always had the utmost respect for you and the way you approach a subject and the way you deliver information to the members of this forum. i do however have one general question. since i have not participated in a recent tacmap, im not sure how the scheduling works. however, from past recollection, wars are chosen on sunday, and played out for the following 6 days. when an issue arises that requires deliberation, not only are past games, wins, and p.o.w.'s at question, but without immediate response the wars of the clan in question over the next few days also need to be considered. for future reference, have the directors and staff considered any way to postpone tacmap play for matters that require more attention or deliberation than just an "overnight" response? it would seem with a matter such as the most recent event of In Country, had the process gone correctly and the deliberation would have taken more than a day, that it would be unfair for participating clans to play with or against a clan awaiting a ruling of this magnitude.

i ws fortunate to get to be a member of the staff with undertow and sniper, and also with shane, john, and ac, and i got to see the reformation of urgent fury. my clan hasnt participated her in a while, but many of us keep up with the day to day postings on the forums. it was hard for me to leave when i did, and i miss the banter with the other staff members of the time. but two things made me very happy after i was gone. the addition of tool and money to the staff. there was not any two more dedicated people on this forum than those guys. i have been friends with tool personally for a while now, and id like to tell everyone, that dumb shit has called me at home on numerous occasions and asked me to bring my clan back. personal calls, at home, promoting this site. that wasnt a clan leader, that a staff member. the events of the last few days have made me sad, and seeing tools removal makes me sadder. i do not know what happened in staff quarters, and i dont care. it not my buisness as a general member. i do however know that tool wil lbe missed, and i want to say thank you, to my friend wes, for the time and dedication you put in here.

about april in most places. stores will begin to clear out most all their winter only inventory. dont want higher priced items like snowblowers sittin all summer, so they price em down and try to push em out the door. watch weekly ad fliers for other winter only items and when you start to see other things of the same nature, start lookin around for your snowblower. most places wont advrtise them on sale, but they will other items they need to clear out

thats the one rogue. thas for postin that. that play just astounded me. but i been thinkin bout this thread. i got lotsa favorite moments, but how about pure amazement. i know the aint a lotta nascar fans here, bu how bout jimmy johnson winnin 5 nextel cups in a row. is there anojne in any sport who has dominated and had the success this guy has, and done it this consistently? even if your nota fan of motorsports, you gotta give this guy some props. he is defnitely at the top of his game.

hey shane. that code is exactly what happened to us, and if you havent found a culprit, i may be able to help. id like to know anyone on theurgent furyboads that had this same problem. there could be a common link and i could possibly know what it is.

the skull and bones site was also hacked just recently. they didtn get the main site, but the forusm were down for a few days and we couldnt fix it. had to go to an old backup file.

wish i could find thevideo, but my fav play of the year is the oklahoma state wide receiver that jumps out of bounds and knocks an overthrown pass back to one of his own guys for a nice gain on the field. it was a classic example of great field presence and lotsa luck, lol

i dunno if this would be any help but when my ol 60g died, i was afraid to get it fixed cuz i heard it came back otally wiped out. what i tried was this... i found an external hard drive (cant memebr the name now) that used on my pc. it hada button on the front, and to backup my p hd all i had to do was hit the button and go about my buisness. so when my ps3 ded, just for shits and gigles i plugged the external hd into a usb port, turned on the ps3, and hit the button. i think i got about 90% of my files off the old one. i got game saves and data, but i know i had to redownload a crapload of rockband songs cuz the external hd didnt pick up any of em.
