so before anyone says it, yes, this should prolly go into the "movies" section. but this is not about movies. this is about america, and john wayne is about as ameri-fickin-can as you can get. they remade true grit? they reinvented rooster cogburn? this is not about a movie. this is about a shitty economy, a gevernment that is full of crooks, and now a remake of a john wayne movie. you cant remake a john wayne movie. it would be like rewriting the bible. it would be like flamebroiling a big mac. it would be like a gay lil bowtie on a good ol ford. what the hell has happened to this country?

that was entertaining, but not original. imagine 100 m-80 firecrackers with the wicks shoved through a fuse rope that burns about 1 foot per second. the m-80s are place on random intervals in the rope, and it is lace in a pattern so it surround you from left ear to right ear and all the way behind you. shooting at a target similar to the one in the video, you have 2 minutes to score 150 plus wth 20 rounds. the catch being that the firecrackers are going of at random times to your left, right, and behind you. it will teach you to block out anything around you for a brief moment while you pull a trigger

i guess thats why i love living in the middle of nowhere..walked into gamestop, nobody in line, over 100 copies on the shelf. walked out with 2 of em in less than 5 minutes

i appreciate the replys here, and i want to set one thing straight. im not saying the older games were better, im just sying that those games will always hav the fondest of memories. even some of the newergames have fond memories that i still relay to people. there are always thoe moments when a game is never forgotten. my biggets gripe here, and my reason to this thread, is games that are hyped, released, and then disappoint the day of purchase. how many times in the last year have you bought a brand new game, tossed it in the ps3, and before your first minute of play you get "update 1.01"? nes games cost me about a weeks allowance. that was 10 bucks at that age. now i pay 60 bucks for a game that i cant even play on a 600 dollr system (yes, i am playing on a launch date 60gb ps3). all i want is a game that works when i buy it, with a few bugs that the developers fix, and i want some memories to go with those games

so to win, or even enter, i have to have twitter? no wonderthere is no interest. i was always happy with information on the forums, and a weekly podcast to keep me up to date. never needed twitter, never cared much about a blog. back in the day, a blog post was called a "new thread" here on the forums.it was definitely NOT another page, another link, or another site. maybe between facebook, twitter, blogs, and what not, there are just to many places for people to go to try to track down ll the things you are offering.

im so happy t hear tis form you guys. video gaming to me was always about the experience. i dont know how a 60 dollar game can have so many flaws if there is any kind of testing, but it seems the manufacturers have forgotten why we play games in the first place.

lol, this is to funny... treyarch designed this game based on al the things they personally hated about mw2, ande one of those things was people getting the game on release day only to find folks 2-3 days ahead on the leaderboards. so you ask, whats the worst they can do? treyarch can ban players showing up online before the midnite release on monday from their serbers. thats what they can do. yes, yuo can make a new account and start over, but what have you gained in those days prior? i totally agree, and with my early copy i will beat the single player so i can concentrate on the obline portion.

there is a lot of oloder guys around here, so im wonderin what your opinion is on this... my first memories of video games was at the age of around 5. i used to play PONG with my dad in our basement growin up almost every night. there were no fancy colors or backgrounds, just two flat lines and a lil bitty square bouncin back and forth. after that came space invaders. i really remember the night i paused that game just shy of rollin the score back to zeros, and waiting an hour fpr my dad to come home so i could kill 2 more aliens and set the score back to all zeros!!! soo came asteroids, missle comand, then on to larger things like donkey kong, pac-man, and frogger. as a youth, all of these games were just awesome, and i was perfectly content. moving forward, lets talk super mario bothers. there is maybe 10% of the population that dont know the theme song, and maybe less that aint played it. it was the biggest thing in the world for many of us. anyone remeber the up, up, down, down, etc code? pretty standard for gaming, and for me, contra i had fun with those games, and many of them built memories for me...especially when my dad was involved. fast forward a few years... i have been playing fallout: new vegas for about 2 weeks now. this game, since day one, has been laggy, glitchy, and freezes constantly. funny thing is, it is built on the havoc engine, which has been around for 10 years. after 3 previous fallout games, they cant get this one right? outside of fallout, i have been thouroughly disappointed in many games over the last couple of years. it sems they are al about graphics, and sounds, but have epically failed when it comes to gameplay. im tired of games tha have a patch on release day, games that i have to update the day after i buy them, and especially at 60 bucks a pop. so, do any of you remember the days of simple games? games that were just fun, and we enjoyed? even without countlss friends online, just you and you dad, or neighborhod best friend in you basement, and just sayin yu got a new high score? or made it to a new level? what happened to simplicity and enjoyment? would ay of you give up textures, shadows, and horizons just to have a game that worked when it launched?

holy fuck man, your right. i never realized it before this. now i know why i cant buy beer anymore. all the liquor stores closed down because 19 year olds cant get beer. there are no more r rated or nc-17 movies anymore because kids cant go see em. go to your local gamestop, and look at all the games. tel me exactly how many of them are rated m. the fuckin Wii is very popular, and almost every game for it is rated E for everyone. all EA sports games are rated E for everyone if im not mistaken, and they are rather popular. seems like gamestiop would still exist with rated M gmaes, and to say walmart and best buy would cease to exist is total bullshit. have you been to a wal-mart lately? what percentage of the store is dedicated to video games? take all video games out of walmat, they still sell a million different products. best buy? you mean to tell me that if they couldtn sell rated M games to minors, thta their electronics sales would go away? total bullshit. this is not a bill telling you how to raise your kids. this is a bill helping parents decide what they want their children to have access to. do you personally want your child to have the ability to pretend that they are running around shooting the shit out of everything they see? then go buy them the game. this bill doesnt say kids can t have the game, it only controls how they get their hands on it. i se no way that the video game industry crumbles because of this bill. i see no way major corporations like best buy and wal mart go belly up cuz children under 18 cannot buy a video game. i se no legitimate arguement as to how this bill is telling people how to raise their own children. i personally am 100% against censorship, and i do not like our government, but in this particular situation, i see nothing wrong with what is propsed. all i see is a lot of one sided arguements by uninformed people.

i will be getting black ops, just cuz what i have seen so far i think they are turning the franchise around a bit, and i love the cod sp anyways. moh can eat a bowl of dick. in the years i have played military shooters, i have never minded playing on the "terrorist/mercanary" side knowing it was just part of the game. but to give that side a name as moh has, in the middle of an actual real world conflict with that particular name, i cannot in good faith play as that side, and in a public mp room you dont always get to choose your side, so moh has taken mp away from me completely leaving me with no interest in this game.

we had a massive thunderstorm at work today. the lightning shut down all the drilling rigs in the field. imagine standing on 7000 feet of drill pipe in the ground, a derrick 200 feet in the air, and a huge pocket of natural gas under you. its just a gigantic lightning rod, lol.

when you met a good clan online, dont try to fuck them the first night. try to make out with em first... 1. find a clan in a random pubby room. it takes a while, but it eventually happens 2. invite them to YOUR clans site, and challenge them to a clan battle. 3. after the battle, win or lose, if they were respectful and honest THEN drop urgent fury on em. let them get to know you and your clan before you introduce them to the community. sell urgent fury by selling yourself!!!
