Leave it to Socom to be the one game that doesn't work when a patch is released. Servers are down. Can't get passed initializing network. Feels like the release date all over!

If I could remember all my sniper stories, I would be glad to share. Unfortunately, I can't remember that far back into UF3. I barely snipe anymore cuz Socom=fail.. but I do remember there were plenty of epic moments in any wars we used to have against APC. I used to be predominantly a sniper with a few other people.. rarely used any other gun at all. And for some reason, it always came down to us vs. SmokeOsama... that sumbish.

Never a time limit. All Socom's needed the majority to green up for the game to start, from there it would go into the countdown (where people USED to be able to talk crap.. thank the lord for UF). I think the funniest I've heard was someone grab the mic and say "Shit, my bad, I was rubbing one out." I think he was truthful, too, because he sounded like he was struggling

So I'm guessing you're one of those anal people who complained about the "racist robots" Here's a whole thread for you about them: http://www.urgentfury.com/uf_forum/index.php?topic=16756.0 I don't understand why you had such a hard team with the fight scenes and telling the Transformers apart. I was able to tell each one apart without a problem the first time I saw it. Even during the huge fight scenes I was able to tell who was who and what was going on. And to sit there and say that the soldiers weren't even shooting at anything is nitpicking. Seriously. If you're sitting there during the movie saying "wow those guys aren't shooting at anything," then I feel bad for you. You're obviously not sitting there trying to enjoy the movie, whether it be the action or Megan Fox. Sure there was no character development, but I'm not going to sit here and cry about it. The first film was more of a battle between 10 characters while this one was more of a war between two races. It's not as easy to make things as personal when you try to look at the overall scope of the plot.

How have you not heard of it! Turn off your PS3 and watch some TV. You'll see the preview within the next few commercials It can't be a good quality torrent. I've looked and can find nothing besides like 2 cam versions

As far as I'm concerned, no. This community has prided itself on tournaments with the sole purpose of gaining pride. That's what makes this community so great. No one here is getting stingy or greedy and demanding to get cash prizes or they will leave. We shouldn't stoop as low as changing what UF is about in order to get people to come here. If they want to be bitches and only want money.. fuck em

Nobody here said anything about signing with MLG. We were using MLG as a comparison, saying that xbox clans don't do tournaments outside of MLG (or they rarely do) because there's no big cash prizes. MLG is hugely on the xbox side of things and that makes it hard for a regular tournament website like this to get any support on the xbox side

After Willy made this thread, it made me wonder, "You know.. wouldn't an official 'Ideas' type board be a big help for these kinds of things" -
I think Chili has every idea we could possibly thing of. It's just a matter of getting support for xbox around these parts. People are quick to smite the 360 because most people on these boards are either anti-360, anti-microsoft, or Sony faboys. Makes it even harder to get 360 clans around here when most clans (serious clans) would rather be around playing for huge cash prizes like MLG instead of pride and glory. It's all about getting clans in here. The ideas are there just waiting, but without support there's no use in having these ideas, if you get my drift. I'm sure if there was more serious support for 360 here, it would be just as great as any PS3 tourney in UF.
