As a matter of fact, it does. I do not know of many occupations where and individual is incarcerated for a felony and while they do their time, their employer holds their job for them. I would say it is somewhere in the 99 percentile that will be looking for gainful employment with another company. In this case Michael Vick was employed by the NFL. Oh and his crime was not just that he fought dogs, he also murdered dogs. If a dog lost him money it was slaughtered. Should he not get a job? No. No one is saying that. Should he not be employed by the NFL? That is the question and everyone will have their own opinion. I personally don't want to see him in the NFL, but it is what it is. I also think it would be an extremely dumb move for a team to sign him and he may not even sign. I would be willing to bet that if no teams sign him, there will be some stink that it is racially motivated and the players union will file some type of grievance stating as much. That is where it will be BS. Each and every team in this league has to do what they feel will be the best for their franchise. If they feel they can take the hit from the public and sign him they will. On the other hand and especially in these economic times they feel they can not afford to have protesters and lose attendance and choose not to sign him, that is their right and it will tick me off to see how it plays out if he is not signed. Take the Buccaneers for example. They have had a waiting list for season tickets for the last 15 years or so. That list was a 3+ year waiting list. This year they are discounting tickets trying to sell season packages, half season packages as well as individual game packages. They may be locally blacked out for the first time in 15 years due to not selling out. Do you think they want to do anything to alienate fans, like signing Michael Vick? Could they use someone of his talent? Hell most any team out there can say yes to the second question, but can they afford to say yes to the prior one?

First Dead U R/COU, before you start with defending your position as if you are innocent and stating that others stirred the pot to cause the riot, please look at the above. Your first statement is about a past issue. An issue that evidently you are still harboring ill feelings about and feel everyone is out to get COU. The first 6 posts in this thread after Sequoyah made the announcement were of people trying to find a way to get you guys in. The 7th was by Saint and his tongue in cheek response was just that. He had a couple minor sarcastic moments such as "LOL picked out of a hat? Without discussing this with the leader? Me?" and then "We would always do that for the UF community....if asked, but thats not the case apprantly around here" and lastly ".gotta luv uf... Wink" The next 3 post were just Q&A and all good, then comes Dead U R with accusations and conspiracy theories. He made the following post slamming Sequoyah and UF: Looks like Dead U R has poked someone in the eye first. The first couple comments by Saint were yes tongue in cheek comments, however they were tolerable, then came the comments of Dead U R. Blasting UF and his conspiracy issues. He says one problem was we did not contact the leader of the clans and or the reps. Since when did personal contact between staff and members here become the norm? Each and every sign up is done via the forums and this was as well. He then claims the problem was it was put in the general public section. "Who Cares?" It was posted for all to see. It was asking all who participate to see if their clan wanted to take a month off. I don't think what section it was on really has any bearing on any of this as it was not the fact that it was not seen, but the fact that you were chosen to sit out the month of August. Then they say well we just sat out June. Well that was your clans personal choice. No one forced you or asked you to do so. That was also 2 months ago. Is staff suppose to be COU experts and know what month you played and what month you didn't? Hell Sequoyah didn't even think about all the things you have brought up in this thread. His son pulled the name from a damn hat. Plain and simple. If you had an issue which you have, the correct manner to try and resolve it, would have been to contact Sequoyah and try to resolve it, not to blast his decision via the forums and basically say he has it out for you and as do all staff members. Yeah that will go over real well as you can see. You then go onto say that all this started because we don't read the threads. That Tool opened his mouth and got the riot started. Well I just posted above how it went down and well it appears to be just the opposite. The decision was posted by Sequoyah. The community was trying to help find ways to accommodate COU and then UF and it's staff were attacked by Dead U R/COU. Tool, being a member of this community, stood up for what he believed was an attack by COU, mainly Dead U R. Exactly not true... He is not required to pay again.. If I went into walmart and gave them a $20 bill... But they wait 15 days to put it in the bank but, then when they get to the bank, they have lost the $20. I am not liable for it. In a COD transaction, payment is taken and product and payment are then considered "As-Is". If you give the guy a valid form of payment, but it is his own error that invalidates payment, you're not liable. He never payed in the first place. A check is not payment. It is an instrument to initiate payment from your bank. The transaction of payment does not occur until the check is processed by the bank. A check was never processed. The instrument in this case is a check, became what is know as stale. Some companies print their own stale dates on the checks. "Void after 90, 120 or 180 days". Even if this is not printed on the check, most banks live by a 180 rule. If the check is more than 180/6 months old it is considered stale and they will not process said check. Your arguments do not compare to this. The first one, you did give cash. They were made whole in your transaction. The second one you are to vague as to what he did. If he ran off with the check and cashed it, yeah you are not on the hook. If you gave him cash and he gave you a receipt and he lost it, you are off the hook. If you gave him a check and he lost the check, you are still liable for payment.

I feel this will be a 2 horse race.....The first horse is in the race for consistency. They want to preserve what is here. For things to stay status quo. They are in it for the community. The second horse is in it for the status symbol. Yes they care about the community, but it is more for the brass ring than for the community. They want it to validate themselves and their team.

As far as it being at a banks discretion. That is what they say but it is a load of crap.....LOL....It is a way for the bank to take zero responsibility for themselves and its tellers. Most of the time they will not even look at it and could care less what it says, unless one of the individuals involved we a big customers of the bank. If customer who is cashing check and is not a customer of the bank and they notice the void date has past, they will on most occassions not cash the check. If it is their big customer who is trying to cash or deposit it, the could care less what the void date is. They will please their customer. Again this is all contingent on if they even notice it in the first place.

It depends on the statute of limitations in each state. That statute will far exceed the terms on the check for which it becomes void. Those terms are to protect both the payer and the payee. To make sure the check was not lost and forgotten about and then found by a 3rd party and cashed. When a check becomes void, it just voids the document and not the intent or contract.

Northern California, which includes San Francisco and Sacramento is scarcely populated. It is mostly wilderness. Mostly small cities and towns surrounded by nothing but wilderness.
