  1. Stupid internet, I can't believe that there's no pictures of marshmallows with swastikas to be found.
  2. COMMUNIST!!!
  3. I got the code, but just got home from standing duty yesterday, so I haven't been able to download it yet.
  4. When I was 16 I worked at McDonald's for minimum wage. At the time it was $4.25 an hour. I worked there for 2 years, I was a crew chief, worked my ass off, and when I left that job to join the Navy 2 years later I was making $5.50.
  5. I deleted my saved game info for socom and it let me log on.
  6. What's the link for the chat room? Anything going on in there?
  7. iLL is normally found in East 3
  8. If any of you guys who don't like the headset and/or don't plan to use it, want to get rid of it, let me know. I had a buddy who was going to give me his so I bought a game without the mic and then he changed his mind.
  9. Someone on our forums said something about a PSN update.
  10. I've called 2 of the 4 Gamecrazy stores in the area and neither of them received it today. Bastards.
  11. Every time a game comes out I see posts about guys who get it early and I've seen them when I log onto xbox or ps3 playing it. I don't know how or why, but it happens all the time. I think those of us on the east coast just get screwed on the deal.
  12. No sense in going to Puerto Rico anymore. They closed the Black Angus and El Doral.
  13. Wiz said his Gamecrazy store said that he can pick it up at 1pm tomorrow.
  14. Possibly, Walmart does it that way sometimes.
  15. I heard that a few big retail stores already put SOCOM and Saints Row 2 on the shelves, so I spent my day off hunting around, but no joy.
  16. I don't think we have many pilots on here so a lot of guys may not understand the significance of the article you posted. I'm attaching a small image of an IFR chart which is what we use now. The circles with the symbols in the center are called VORTACs. They're basically antennas that relay bearing and range information to you. VORTACs are normally located at or near airfields and airports. The lines between VORTACs are called victor airways. They're our roads in the sky. To get from one airport to another, you fly those victor airways from VORTAC to VORTAC which seems like you're zigzagging everywhere. The VORTACS only have a range of about 40 nm depending on your altitude, so if you're going somewhere that's 200 miles away, you can't just tune in the VORTAC and follow it all the way there. With GPS we can just punch in the destination airport and fly GPS direct. It's a beautiful thing and it will save a lot of money, but pilots will still be responsible for checking charts to make sure they're not flying into any restricted areas. That's where I see it becoming an issue; pilots getting lazy, losing the ability to navigate properly, and getting lazy with respect to proper planning. However, this will be more of a problem for private pilots and pilots of small commercial businesses, not so much major commercial airlines.
  17. I'd say that odds are that the motherboard in the HP is an ASUS.
  18. The specs are virtually identical. As far as the video cards, the difference is NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT vs NVIDIA GeForce 9700M GT.
  19. I understand that. I saw that iLL and SxB were specifically mentioned with regard to not submitting apps, so I'm just stating that we understand that if we don't apply for Black then we won't be eligible for the tacmap.
  20. It's about that time again, time for a new laptop. I've pretty much narrowed it down to these two: HP Pavilion DV7-1020us ASUS G50Vm-X1 They have a lot in common for the most part and they both have some solid reviews. I'd probably go with the ASUS hands down if it had BluRay instead of that lightscribe deal. I guess if I were a movie bootlegger I'd be all for the lightscribe. Pricewise, there's only a $20 difference, but I can pick the HP up at the exchange and save myself about $85 in taxes. I'm more or less looking for any suggestions, opinions, or alternatives that you guys can give.
  21. We managed to get everyone in iLL a beta code, so we've all had a chance to play it, and we're waiting on the final release to decide if we want to get into any tournaments. The game seems great, when it works, but with the beta issues, at this point, we're not even sure if we'd have enough interested to put together a roster. We've discussed it, and nobody in iLL "believes that we are guaranteed an invite". We don't want to commit and have to back out because we can't field enough. We understand that this will result in us sitting in the bleachers for a while. Maybe they'll actually manage to release a patch that fixes more problems than it creates and interest will jump for us.
  22. One that I love was from George Carlin. It's something like: Just think about how stupid the average person is, and then realize that half of them are even stupider!
  23. Does doing the right thing for the wrong reason make it the wrong thing to do?
  24. I think it's in my house somewhere. I've never played it, but I think my brother or someone else left it here. I may check it out.
  25. Bite your tongue, or your finger as the case may be.
