I tried to make R2 my trigger, but it didn't let me. It only let me switch R2 with the triangle. I'll give it a try again. If someone can actually verify that R2 can be the fire button, let me know. This way I know it can be done.

I want complete control on the button layout like they promised. I want R2 to be my trigger, and it doesn't seem to work. I agree Chili. If they were gonna rip off the controller from the XBOX they should have completely ripped it off. The trigger should be shaped like a trigger. BTW...Sid, your sig scares my two year old daughter. lol

I agree with ya. Its the beta, and I'm glad they let everyone into the beta to work out the bugs before the game comes out. Lets just hope they are listening to all the complaints.

I have a feeling that if want to continue to tourney here, SOCOM will be the only game available. Thats just my opinion. I don't know why people are bashing this game so much, its a beta, a 3 day old beta! If after the official game comes out, and it still has major issues then I would agree. I could see if this was a demo of the game, but its not.

I went there but didn't see anything. When I went to "Clan" it just brought me to my clan. Maybe I'm missing an option, I'll look again. Or, maybe I can't now that I'm offically in Hollow Ground's clan.

I love how the environment is interactive. I was running down the street when the friggin wall to the left of me blew apart and came crumbling down. I can only assume someone hit it with a rocket on the other side. Not that it has any bearing on the gameplay, but shooting the birds is fun. I hit one in the air and part of the bloody wing landed right in front of me. Question: Is there any way to check all the clans that are registered?? I was curious on there emblem they chose. Also, not that I want to, but how do you register a new clan on SOCOM?? I wanted to see all the emblems you could choose from.

This idea worked perfect last night. I logged on and immediately checked my friends list and who was on. I seen MaluNYMets on and his comment read "US East 3" and I found everyone without any problem.

1: Every now and then I kicked out of my clans website, and when I try to log back in it tells me to change my cookie settings. I know how to clear them (I think), how do I set them? 2: When I try to open files from emails, instead of a window popping up saying to Open, Save or Cancel, my PC only has the option to Find, Save, Cancel. How do I get a permanent program so that "Open" is always the option like on my work laptop? I hope I explained this right, as I'm am a computer idiot.

Here are some other cool features. The headset will feature “High-Quality (HQ) mode†with PS3. In this mode, the headset will take advantage of advanced voice technologies and noise cancellation techniques to provide clear and wideband voice input to the PS3. The HQ mode will ensure a much better voice chat quality on the PS3. HQ mode will also enable accurate speech recognition required to support or enhance ‘Voice Command’ and ‘Voice Animation’ features. Voice Command was originally used in SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs for PS2 to administer the AI-controlled teammates using the WHO, WHAT, and WHERE format (example: Bravo, Attack, Nav Point Zulu). Voice Animation refers to the in-game character mimicking you during voice chat. With HQ mode, these features can be enabled on a much larger vocabulary in select PS3 games. PS3 will display an in-game status indicator exclusively for this headset that will show the headset’s connection status, battery charge level, speaker volume level and microphone mute status. This will come with a later firmware update. Tired of wearing the headset during a long multiplayer gaming session or is your headset battery running out of charge? Just dock the headset in the supplied charging cradle, and the headset will work as a desktop microphone while charging. Last but not least, the headset will automatically pair with the PS3 by connecting with a USB cable. -

Yes. I posted this up on my website for my clan mates to send out invites. Also, I figured that UF and most of the clans here will be solely on SOCOM this Friday then permantly after 10/14. So everyone will start off at the same point. The only "info" I'll really lose is COD4 stats, so no loss there.

I was thinking of changing my name for awhile now, but thought I was stuck with IrshZ28. Then Sgt.JoeFriday inspired me to go ahead with my dream. LOL Anyway, I came up with IrshZ28 on whim also when I needed a name when I first got my PS3 online. Brief history, IrshZ28 came from a license plate I had on a Camaro I used to own. I wrecked the car years ago, well some cunt wrecked my car turning in front of me. So the name really never made sense in my eyes. Anyway, I was never happy with the name. With the upcoming SOCOM coming out I thought like Sgt.JoeFriday this would be the best time to change it. My new PSN will be x_IRISH_BULL_x. The term "bull" comes from a slang term for a railroad cop, which is what I am for those who don't know. So those from UF that are on my PSN list, send me an invite. I'll delete you off the IrshZ28 account, then I'll know who I need to send an invite to. Thanks everyone.

I can't believe the customization of the weapons. Granted, I never played SOCOM online so I don't know if this is the norm. The part when the guy picks the sniper rifle and he was able to choose whether he wants a long range scope or medium one is awesome. It also looked like he was able to choose whether he had a tripod or not.

Does anybody know if they are only sending the codes one time to one email. I mean do you need separate emails for each card?? Then I read somewhere, the person you share your code with has to be on your friends list. Any validity to this??

Thats too bad.. Paying is so worth it. lol Honestly this is the way they break it to you slowly that "they just cant provide this service for free".. You'll see, the online service will either turn to shit, or they will start MAD pain in the ass advertising, or just start charging you. I can see this. Especially when Home arrives. I see billboards everywhere. -
