  1. i can't believe i'm laughing at this!!!
  2. I don't think the school system itself here sucks. I've always believed its more of a personal thing. You either take school seriously and study hard and get ahead or you use school to meet friends and socialize and party and fail. There is time for everything, just some people prefer to dedicate most of their time to partying.
  3. Grats on your iPhone! Its an amazing phone, you won't be disappointed!
  4. Yeah, I do have to admit that the data plans for the iPhone are a bit high. However, it is a price that you pay for convenience. Like Neo points out, it can become a hassle to carry around two devices instead of 1. I'm already carrying around my keys and wallet with me everywhere and also my phone. Anything more and my pants would be falling down from all the weight
  5. w00t! its about damn time! this really has been the only feature the iPhone was lacking. not it is a complete phone. thanks for the heads up Neo I hated that username/password BS as well. Half of the time, the password didn't even work and when it did, the picture was like the size of a penny to the point that I couldn't even see anything in the picture. And yes, the freezing is a known Storm bug. A co-worker of mine wanted to show me all the features about the Storm during a lunch break and wanted to show off his phone and say how much it was better than my iPhone when all of a sudden, it froze. Needless to say, he never again tried to convince me his Storm was better than my iPhone
  6. I had the Peal 8100 before I got the iPhone. I remember paying $600 for the original iPhone and not once did I ever regret it. Since then I've moved on to the 3G and now the 3Gs. Since I've had an iPhone, I haven't had a chance to try out some of the newer blackberry models, and I don't plan on it since I'm staying with the iPhone. I know a lot of you guys keep saying you like the iPod touch, but that just means you have to carry around your iPod touch and your phone. That's 2 devices you have to carry around when you can have all in one device with the iPhone. My favorite thing about the iPhone is the visual voicemail. I can see a list of all my voicemails and just click on the one I want to hear. If I have 27 voicemails and I want to listen to the 26th oldest one, I don't have to sit there and press skip 26 times to get to it like I had to with other phones. I just scroll down and click on the voicemail. Some of the apps for the iPhone are garbage, but some are also very useful and handy to have. One of my other favorite things about the iPhone is that it uses Safari as its browser. Its like using a real life browser on your phone. Its not like windows mobile browser where I get sent to the mobile version of a site if the site has that option on. With my iPhone, I can do and see webpages as if I was viewing them from a computer.
  7. I'm loving the new chrome. I have quick and easy access to my most visited sites which I think is a really cool feature. I've been a long FF fan, but I switched to Chrome when it first came out and have stuck by it since then.
  8. ummm... i don't know what to say about that lol
  9. Its a cool game to kill time with and its accessible from anywhere you have internet access. You have 7 days before anyone can attack you which gives you plenty of time to build your city and join a big alliance that can protect you if you get attacked once your 7 days are up.
  10. Awesome post and an awesome show of respect for our fallen heroes!
  11. Its very very very very hard to get a virus, much less spyware on a Mac. You would have to be completely unaware of how to use a computer to get a virus. With a mac, you would have to manually download and install and enter your admin password twice yourself in order for the virus to do its thing. I've never had an anti-virus software on my mac and I've never had virus or spyware problems on it. PCs are a different thing though. I've been using AVG Free edition for years now and its always worked for me in removing viruses. For PCs, all you have to do is visit some random website and the virus or spyware installs itself without you ever knowing. I heard security will be better on Windows 7, but I don't think that will cut down too much on viruses and spwyare.
  12. That's very true. I had to hold off on playing Rome as well for a bit until I upgraded. It sucks, you spend $40 bucks on a computer game, open it (once opened you can't return it), spend 2 hours installing it, just to find out it won't run properly.
  13. Could it be a regional thing? I just asked the DM at my gamestop and he says they will be released on the same night as the other editions.
  14. Well, WoW isn't the only computer game I play. I love strategy games as well and play Age of Empires 2 and 3, Age of Mythology, Rise of Nations, Empire Earth, etc, etc etc. The difference between these types of games and shooters is huge. For one, shooters require both quick reflexes and accuracy, which I think both are better achieved using a console gaming controller. Using WASD to move with your left hand and your right hand on the mouse sucks IMO. Play a game for 3-4 hours and your wrists will be hurting like hell! However, there are a lot of guys who prefer the keyboard/mouse setup over a conventional console controller, and for that, there is a fix. Some people use the splitfish (http://www.splitfish.com/). I got one myself about 2 years ago and its basically the left hand side of a gaming console on your left hand and a mouse on your right hand. Its allowed the PC gamers to kinda keep the same feel of PC gaming, but on a console system. Maybe that's just what you need Goat
  15. Dude... ask Jerf how good WoW is... he'll tell you! Just saying though, computers aren't really made for shooter games. I think shooters are more fun being played on a console. Besides, there are a lot more hackers ruining the game on the PC versions. PC gaming was meant more for like WoW ;D
  16. Congratulations guys! Thanks for stepping up and taking over what Tow and Sniper started. Those two guys did one hell of a job creating UF and we are all excited and looking forward to seeing you guys take it to the next level.
  17. TF is wrong with you?! I always said that if I was able to game on the PC, I would. Unfortunately, I hate the fact that you can buy a brand new gaming computer today and in a few months, it's outdated. It's pretty stupid, actually. But if I was able to get a PC to handle some of these games, I'd definitely be doing that I always said the same thing to everyone else I knew that played WoW, before I gave it a try. There are a lot of misconceptions about the game. Its also a different style of play. Its not about how quick you are with your trigger finger or how fast your reflexes are. Its more of a strategy game. For you guys who like clan challenges, WoW has guild where you raid. You fight bosses. You can do 10 man or 25 man raids. You need to organize what type of players you need and all work together to defeat the boss. Its a different style of play ;D
  18. Never really paid attention to it, but I do believe IW released a patch for rumble on CoD4. WaW definitely has it.
  19. While IW may have taken care of this problem quickly with the UFO glitch, there still are other problems that have existed since COD4 was initially released. 2 years later and I still have to wait over 30 minutes for it to download game settings. I can play ANY other game I have and get online instantly, but with COD4, I have to wait 30 minutes. Because this is the only game that does it, I know its not my connection and its not my ps3. I have gone through the web finding ways of getting around this. I found that thousands of other people have the same problem as me, yet not one official word from IW to even acknowledge this bug. In the end, I still wait 30 minutes every day to play COD4. Yes its frustrating, but I have fun playing with my friends and clan mates. In the end, that's all that matters right... playing a game you enjoy with the people you enjoy playing with and just have a good time gaming.
  20. If you're into PC gaming, give world of warcraft a try ;D
  21. No wonder, i used to get 4 slices of pickle on my quarter pounder, now they only put 3 :'( but in all seriousness, tow and sniper did make an effort of giving us several call of duty tournaments and i hope the new owners will continue to provide us with some tournies once MW2 is out. I don't see why UF has to stay exclusive to socom gamers only. why not expand a bit and welcome some more cod clans. it could be a good thing.
  22. it was not a patch' date=' it was a server update, they did the same with the cod waw glitches, server updates. The patch is for not allowing anyone to be able to change the code of the game. [/quote'] And what the guys cheating were doing was an exploit, not a hack or a glitch as we have all called it. We understand a patch to be something that fixes a bug or an issue. Better yet, a "patch" to me is when someone does something to fix something that is not right. So, to me, it was a patch. They can call it a server update all they want! ;D im guessing you dont know how the hack works right, lol. I told you, the same way as the aimbot, they changed the code of the game, its not an exploit, exploit is more like going up on the roof of the house on overgrown. to each his own i guess then... you can call it what you want, i'll call it what i want... i'm just glad they got it fixed! ;D

  24. I think IW already fixed the glitching issue. After a whole week of encountering at least 3-4 glitchers in each game, last night, I didn't see one person glitching. IW managed to fix it somehow without even having to release a patch and make us waste time by having to download it ;D
