Interesting stuff. Our universe is far too big to rule out any possibility of life elsewhere. Too bad we may not be able to discover life on another planet in our lifetime, but I'm sure that will be the most exciting thing ever. If this planet is so similar to ours and if it does have life, I wonder if the inhabitants of that planet will look like us =O -

It's actually quite a scene. I live in Silver Spring, Maryland and this is about 7 or 8 minutes from my house. I've seen these things on the news happen in other places, but it's crazy when it happens just down the road from where you live.

Yeah, that would definitely be a good thing. I think what would hurt the most at this point in time is waiting too long in between tournaments. That's led a lot of clans to go elsewhere to look for some action. But a 4v4 tournament is small enough that even clans who don't do much CoD, can still afford 4 guys to sign up. Some of the bigger clans can get 2 or even 3 teams to sign up and we could have a shitload of teams ready to go. Just remember... waiting too long is a bad thing! lol Tool, if you need some extra teams to test out your 4v4 tournament, I'd be happy to help.

A small 4v4 tournament might be cool. Could get several teams out of each clan to participate to increase the number of teams needed. Kinda like how team tac is =)

I got the prestige edition with MW2. I've never worn the goggles. Got them more as a souvenir type of thing and I will be getting the prestige edition for Black Ops as well. Same as the goggles, I won't use them, but I'll hold on to them as like a collection or something.

Guys, for future reference... if you're looking to get a portable HD, getting an internal one with an enclosure is the way to go. Wrath, for the same 60 bucks, I got a 1gig internal HD and the enclosure. I just put the HD in the enclosure and connected the enclosure to my PC and formatted and was good to go. The cool thing about the enclosures is that it also allows you to swap out for any other HD you have laying around and use it as a portable HD. I've had a lot of PC's and I've always kept the HD after getting rid of them and now I can use the HDs from all of them without having to open up my CPU and install them as a slave drive. But yes, Fat32 is what the playstation and every other thing out there recognizes. NTFS is windows only.

So, I think I'm going to take advantage of this offer. I have an original 60gig model that still works perfectly fine, but I don't want to be kicking myself later knowing that I could have upgraded but passed and now have to pay full price if my 60gig model goes out. So, with that in mind, I have a few questions that I know have been answered before, but can't find the damn post anymore... How do you back up everything on your ps3 HD? How do you completely wipe everything from the HD? Also, Is the ps3 you're getting from gamestop for the trade-in brand new and factory sealed, or are you getting a refurbished system?

UF clan recruiting - Getting new clans to play here

I was part of another clan a long time ago when Redoctober stopped by our forums and told us about a tournament here. That's when we signed up and became a part of this community. Later on, I started another clan (my current one) and came here and applied for hell week as soon as we got everything together. Me and my clan are very happy here and have every intention on staying here as long as they keep offering tournaments for us to play in. As for promoting UF, I think opening up a youtube channel would be a very good idea. Tournament games that people record could be uploaded there so other gamers can see the type of tournaments that are played here. It would be another means of advertising UF on the web. Also, like Redoctober did a long time ago when I believe he was staff here, UF should have a staff member just go around to forums and post about here. It's an effective way to get clans to come here. Starting off at a place like the CoD forums would be a good starting point for collecting URLs of clan's forums where UF could be advertised at. -
*shaking my head at the sig* lol It's a chick flick. End of story. I understand some people "have" to watch it because the girlfriend, the wife, the mistress or whatever you're rolling with these days wants to watch it, but to actually sit there and enjoy the movie... that's a big no no lol. Will she get mad at you for not watching the movie with her? sure she will. Will your relationship crumble? no. No excuse for any guy to watch any of these movies lol.

All of them have their pros and cons. I love the speed of chrome when it comes to browsing. I hate the speed of chrome when it comes to downloading. It seems once I start a download or two, the browser really slows down. Firefox in general is a bit slower than Chrome, but it doesn't seem to slow down at all when it comes to downloading. If I get online with the purpose of downloading, I will fire up FF, but if I will just be browsing, I will fire up Chrome. I also don't seem to have any problems with passwords on either Chrome or FF. They both save my passwords. As Tow mentioned, IE on a developer level is just horrible. As a developer, you build sites on FF and you then have to go back and put in IE hacks in your code in order for it to show correctly on IE. It's a hassle and a burden. Unfortunately, the computer industry is dominated by Microsoft, which ship their computers with IE already installed. For this reason alone, IE is still the leading browser and therefore developers must design according to IE's standards as well. CSS 3 has been out for some time now and is supported by all major browsers, except IE. IE 9 which will release sometime this year will finally support something that is already supported by all major browsers. This is why IE lacks is so many ways. A developer can't use CSS3 to build a site yet, because it will only work on other browsers and in order to make it work with IE, he would have to create a separate stylesheet with hacks and fixes just so that it will show up the same on IE. That's just looking at it from a developer's standpoint. From a user standpoint, it doesn't really matter what browser you use. In the end, they all do the same. If you are not a developer, you don't know what happens in the background and therefore it becomes easy to assume that one browser is better than the other just based on personal usage experience. I'll tell you one thing though, if IE was excluded from PCs and users would have to manually pick and download a browser, IE would go down the drain quick.

The U.S. really has had some nail biting games in this world cup, but it shows that they have heart! Twice they've had to come back from behind to get the tie (although robbed in the second game from the W) and now pull out the win in the 91st minute to advance to the knockout round. Very exciting stuff from the U.S.!
