I feel sympathetic for King Junk, I’ve tried more than any staff member here to help him and his clan to become a respectable UF clan. Yet JyK seems to have more clan members then any other that want to drag King’s name out and speak out against UF on behalf of JyK even though often times their clan leader doesn’t hold the same opinion nor condone their actions. My Clan [PBK] hasn’t been in a tournament here at UF since COD4 and before that since the second tac-map tourney. However I check these forums daily and when my console is working I’m usually online during tournaments and not involved in play. But I don’t *Referee. None of the Staff Referees here at UF. At UF it is you and your peers that referee themselves. The staff deliberates on disputes and staff members whose clans are involved in a dispute are excluded from any debate involving their clan. There are no referees because this isn’t GB. Goat there if you want biased referees. Having been on the staff for quite a while now your statements sort of pissed me off since I’ve seen the care and worry the entire administration takes in concerns to staying as impartial as possible. Undertow took a lot of time in answering your post and I’m usually of the mind to be as polite and apprehensive as possible in these situations. I used to love the medium scope on the M4A1 on the older versions but not with a silencer the gun seemed to be far less in power with a silencer than any other gun although if you take the time for a head shot it worked just fine silencer or not. The IW-80 medium scope and silencer was one of my favorite setups it seemed the IW was less effected by the silencer’s power loss than any other gun.. Also liked the Red Dot for guns like the Ak-47 which by itself wasn’t too accurate yet seemed to improve accuracy with the dot. Although I found it didn’t improve accuracy as much as it improved the lock on speed when used. I loved the SR-25 with a medium or high scope in single play but the LAW with the 12x seemed to kick much more ass for online play. Also I really liked to use the M-14 carbine with a high scope for co-op it seemed to have unbelievable range. And it wasn’t that bad a choice for online either. One that was sort of obscure since nobody used it much was the RA-14 with the thermal. On mercs I kind of liked it and I used it almost every time on a night map. Never did like the Heavy machine gun/Thermal setup.. To me it was just a bit far-fetched since M-60’s weight means nobody goes running around with it looking through a scope although others swore by it and not that there is anything wrong with it if you choose it. It just wasn’t for me. During the day the ST with a med scope was on par with the Seals IW setup. On this new version which I have maybe less than 24 hours total play time on.. I hear a lot of folks swearing by the SCAR. I don’t know which scope they prefer for it though.. maybe someone will enlighten me?

of course you can hook it up.. ? you can use the old ant/cable jack and go to ch#3 and see the picture or if you have the NES cable to Video adapter to you can use the old composite video jacks (the yellow one) and audio jacks. If you're asking will it be in 1080 then NO the NES doesn't put out an HD signal. the picture no matter how good your TV is.. is only going to be as good as what you send it.. period. There are Video upscalers available in units like an Harmon Karmon Reciever or other devices.. but again they will be upscaling from a rather low res signal.. don't expect much even with an upscaler. Basically it's 480i or even 240p if you go the ant/cable route. That's it that's as good as it gets.. it is after all an OLD NES System.. Just think in terms of "The weakest link"

You know I read the other one and now this one and ok... yeah its funny and sure I've come across everyone of those type players. But I think its all a bit on the downer side so I've put together my own little list of "10 players you meet in a clan war" For each of the above their is another player that makes the game worthwhile. My 10 players you meet in a clan war is the reason I keep playing.. its the reason I'm here and its the reason I put up with the other list of players. Goat's "10 players that are the reasons I play the game" 10 – alert and aware: this guy may be the last one left but not always. He waits until you are position to plant the bomb and if not already on his way is nearby. He covers your back when you plant and when the camping SOB appears out of the shadows and kills you with a silenced F90.. he takes him out with a clean shot to the back of his head. He would have fired earlier but didn’t want to risk hitting you with a stray bullet. He stays on top of the bomb and may even die when it explodes since stats don’t matter to him. Other than the win. 9 – the Listener: this guy seldom talks on the mike and generally keeps quiet in the war lobby, when he does talk others listen since he talks about the logistics of the match and waits to hear what others have to say. He may ask for a wait in order to get other players into the room. The best thing he likes to hear is others talking about what they can do to improve their play. If he is in your clan, keep him and stay in the clan. He usually tries to insure the war starts on time. 8 – the team player: this guy is kind of like the Chauncey Billups of Socom, he possesses a great deal of talent but is happy to assist when needed as well as take the crucial shot if that is what is called for. He could care less about his kill/death ratio, is more than happy to watch a snipers back or spot for someone else. He never fails to say good game and provide helpful suggestions to team mates. Win or lose this guy seldom gets pissed off and is always in a good mood. He lives by the ideal “it’s just a gameâ€. If he leaves your clan follow him. 7 – the tactician: this guy knows how to handle himself in a wide array of situations. If you die he lets you know what you may have been able to do differently to avoid it in the future. He offers to make a private room and go over the situation if you would like. He doesn’t criticize your play but instead offers encouragement. His favorite saying is “you will get better, everybody makes mistakesâ€. He may not get many kills because he tends to look out for his clan mates. He is usually the first to volunteer to run out of cover so that the enemies location can be spotted and a clan mate gets the kill. He knows a lot but he’s not afraid to listen when a clan mate suggest a way to improve his game. 6 – the lifer: he’s been with the same clan since day one. He can’t always make every war but when he says he will be there you can count on him. He only has one name and no matter which game or console he uses he tries to stay as close to his original handle as he can. He’s all about loyalty to his friends and to his clan. He takes pride in his clan membership, he doesn’t seek leadership yet won’t waver in his effort if he is given the task 5 – the silent one: this guy speaks softly, so much in fact that often he is asked to speak up or turn up his mic. He never gripes or complains or bitches about lag, hit detection or server issues. He takes it all with a grain of salt and plays on. When he is killed by a good shot or by sound tactics he admires the other player for getting the drop on him. The silent one is often forgotten about until the one time he is left by himself against six enemies and manages to take them all out and get the win. In the foray of congratulations that follows his only remark is “I got luckyâ€. . 4 – The war chief: He’s not the clan leader but he has as much respect from his clan mates as the one in charge. Although not the best player you can count on him having an equal amount of deaths and kills. His knowledge of maps is outstanding. He has spent time in private rooms calculating times for control points, best routes, ambush placements and general war strategies. He tries to get together with the clan leader and other commanders to go over battle plans. He provides his thoughts in an informative manner in order to provide his clan leader with as much Intel as he can. He may provide a grand strategy but differs to his clan leader for the final decisions. 3 – jovial john: this guy is a blast, he wants to win.. sure.. but is all about having fun. He may show up a bit tipsy but his wit and good nature provides loads of laughter and good times for all. He doesn’t play in public rooms as a rule and cares more about being amongst friends than what game is being played. It takes as much shit as he gives.. all with a smile. He is the only guy that can still show his clan mates a good time even when the battle is lost. Although he jokes around a lot… when he needs to.. he gives it all he’s got in the battle. 2 – mr. humility: this guy never fails to say good game to the opposition nor acknowledge the other teams good tactics or skills. His general good attitude shows across a variety of social issues.. race, religion, age, gender and financial status is in total disregard to mr. humility. He is so well like by not only his clan mates but the opposing team as well that win or lose everyone thinks mr. humility is a cool guy. 1 – the optimist: he never quits, it doesn’t matter to him if its 10 against 2 or even if its just him against an entire team.. he will play! He doesn’t even consider it an unfair advantage and will simply give it his best shot. He doesn’t freak out when his team is down a round or two.. stating “we can still win this.. we just need to pull it together.. maybe try a new tactic.. lets not give up†He finds the good in the bad. “Sure they beat us fair and square but hey we did win a few rounds. Maybe we can pull it off next time.†by Goat.

Unfricking believable.. not the software my @ss!!! So update downloaded and installed and I just got through playing Rainbow 2 for an hour straight without a single problem.. I'm going to eat supper and give it the ultimate test! SOCOM! God I've totally forgot what buttons do what and will probably have to re-do all my settings.. load outs. etc.. pain in the arse! I feel like a dayam noob!! Anybody want to volunteer to run back and forth while I adjust my sights? LMAO! J/K tonight I'm just going to hang in a private room with a bud and get familar with the controls again.. Fuk'n A! and I was all set to pay them $190 to fix my console and sonofabitch if it wasn't the software.. just like I thought.. at least its working again.. Hopefully for a while and its not just because its been sitting off for the last three weeks.. :-X oh well who cares looks like tonight I'm good to goat for one night anyway!

I suck at.. with the exception of RBV2 of course. That was interesting.. I believe him... especially about the hit detection, something zipper never did get right with socom so why would they get it right with mag? p.s. so the last beta code was for uncharted 2 but what was the first one for? is Mag out on beta? or was that for some other beta game?

I don't think it is either.. mine messes up right after start up so its no way its heat.. it doesn't even have time to heat up? It plays Movies on blu-ray or regular dvd just fine and I can play movies all night without a problem.. but my games (especially any older ps3 titles such as Tiger Woods 07, Rainbow 1 and 2, oblivion, etc etc.. only play for about five minutes before major problems occur.. newer titles such as Killzone.. etc.. seem to make it for a lot longer.. I even managed to play Killzone the other night for a couple of hours without a hitch.. I got cocky and put in Rainbow 2 and bamm! five minutes and major graphics spikes.. ??? I'm going to fire it up and download the firmware later today.. I've had graphic card problems with PC's before and the console simply isn't acting like a hardware issue.. its more like software and in specific like a graphics card with outdated or incorrect drivers? Like I said this started the very day I downloaded the last upgrade and I don't thing that is a coincidence.

Ever since firmware 2.5 I've had nothing but problems with my ps3, head spikes.. black screens..frozen screen... all of which have been graphic related.. from what I've read from others.. many with a first gen 60gb console experienced similar issues.. not sure if it is a hardware or software problem.. I do know the standard "keep your console well ventilated" answer sony gives is a load of cow manure! it started happening immediately after the last firmware upgrade and since Sony hasn't admitted the firmware is the problem I doubt they would suggest this one fixes it.. but I can hope I guess and wait and see. At least that's cheaper than a new console. :-\ I'll keep my fingers crossed and keep saving my pennies in case this upgrade finishes the job the last one started and forces me to buy a new console.

We're in a holding pattern. Basically the Rangers are comprised of very active forum members who have demonstrated the values that Urgent Fury portrays. The team works on promotional materials and formulates ideas and game plans to help spread the UF word. Our primary goal is to get new members, but we also work towards making new members feel welcomed as well as helping the current membership by providing support. A typical Ranger may posses some skills in writing or graphics or else have a bit of knowledge in Marketing techniques although none of that is a requirement since we also like a team that includes members that help in other ways such as a sounding board for ideas or providing their individual opinions and suggestions. We work on things from providing graphics, advertisement ideas, promotional plans, to discussion and evaluation of new titles which may be considered for future inclusion here at Urgent Fury. As Rangers we "lead the way" so we like members that demonstrate some leadership qualities. The enlistment process is done by selection which is based on observed attitude and demonstrated qualities. Clan leader recommendations as well a peer recommendations are looked on in high regard. The program is strictly voluntary both in participation as well as the amount of time a member can contribute. Although enrollment is only by invitation any member that wishes to be a candidate is welcomed to send a request for consideration. UF Ranger Commander Goat.
