Hey great run RVN... and glad i could help make the tourney run smooth..

Socom FTW... we all just have to high of hopes... now w/ that being said.. Slant 6 is making a valid effort at what we all love... and due to what most feel was a marketing mistake.. the game came our early and was highly problematic. My question is.. why is this still being drug through the mud? I hear what you are saying.. and yea even i dont play like i used to.. however we are all older and more responsible for the most part. Shit i started playing socom damn near day one or Socom launch. During Socom 2 i had to leave a war early to go watch my first and only son be born. Life as i knew it changed immediately. Personally i am glad socom has its blunders right now.. for i might be to involved to pay attention to my family.. so for that i suppose i am grateful. It sounds funny but i bet most of you have similar situations.. new job, new girl, etc.. Realistically the game is slowly panning out to what it once was.. and i really have very little problems with how the game plays.. There are a few things.. like inconsistencies of nades.. or some of the lag spikes.. but other then that the game plays pretty damn well if you ask me. Its lack of maps that keeps me and my guys from being on nightly. If there were 10 new maps and the 3 old maps.. i probably would be divorced and not even typing this.. for i would be trying to learn all of the new maps and perfect my game play on them. One can only hope that the new DLC thats being rumored will yield us some new maps. Thats the ticket if you ask me... new maps will make this game more of a success then it currently is. Also you mentioned the long wars too and how rare that is.. really its the format of the wars and game modes that i think effects the outcome of that. 503 has had some real nail biters that have lasted up to 3 hours as well.. 3 maps of course though too. In fact just recently 503 has been really wanting to return to a 3 map format for fun... that might also be why this game doesn't feel like the old.. most wars are now 1 map. At least in most competition that stands true. Anyways.. thats Dubs take on the new socom ... its a lot of fun.. and yea i agree.. most people are simply getting on to shoot it up w/ their buds.. but that was the original reason we all got on as well.. lets hear other suggestions on why it doesnt feel the same to you? I like the evolution for the most part but what dont you guys like about it??

The answer i got today was no. If the seal is cracked.. they dont want it. Its considered Modded. I told them Modded was when you alter or modify something.. and i was told opening case was a good way for them not to accept it. So not sure what the truth is... i was also told today if i had receipts to prove faulty PS3s.. they would remove activations too... the second rep just laughed when i asked...

Well Irish, i talked to 2 different reps.. and the first claimed that yea if you dont send it in today , your screwed.. so being pissed and not believing that i called Sony again and the next rep informed me that they had in fact just had a meeting regarding the 60gb model and its warranty status.. however it was to inform the reps that its virtually impossible to have a store bought 60gb w/a warranty and receipt still w/in the last 12 months. He claims that they basically wont fix it "under warranty". So you can send it in but it will cost the $149 to do so. At least that is what the second rep said, he just figured the first rep misunderstood.. or that i misunderstood the rep.. but then i told him the specific questions and answers i gave and got.. and he laughed and assured me they would still fix.. just not under warranty.

FYI.. if you try and fix this yourself.. Sony will not except the unit. So if you try and fix yourself.. you are infact sealing the deal that your now the fixer. I called Sony 2 times this morning to ask questions.. you might ask why i called 2 times? Well the first lady told me that today was the last day i could send in my 60gb model. She claimed that Sony had not been making them for a while and that they were not fixing them anymore either due to lack of 60gb parts. I couldnt believe what she was saying.. i infact talked a bunch of shit and was like "WTF lady.. this is less then 2 years old and you wont fix it?? Not to mention this is the model that crashes the most.. $600 down the tube is what your saying then?" her response was.. " not if you send it in today!!" I called back and talked to another person and he assured me that it was the Warranty service was up.. being that the 60gb models have long left store shelves.. that it was virtually impossible to have a valid warranty (12 months from purchase) So im still unsure if i want to do this or not.. however my 60 has been in a box for about 12 months now w/ call of duty 4 in it and an active system that could be used by one of my friends for game shares... anyways i just wanted to share my "lovely" morning on the phone w/ Sony after reading this post and considering to do it.

I use a few different hosts.. Godaddy.com ImHosted.com Scriptedmotion.com 1and1.com They are all mainstream hosts that offer competitive prices.. They all offer the latest Cpanel options and all the goodies that hosts come w/ . I have noticed Godaddy likes to charge for just about every extra feature you get.. but all in all they are all great hosts that are reliable and quick to help when you need it. They are all under $10 a month for decent plans. Domains i would register through Yahoo.com. The first year you register its $2.99. The next year will be like 10... followed by year 3 being 14.99. It all evens out.. however if next year you find that you dont need the domain or site.. you will have saved a few $$$$.. Anyways i would be happy to answer any other questions .. or offer more help if you need it elsewhere.

Personally i feel like this person was in a clan that was denied or ran out of UF for whatever reason. There has definitely been some animosity over the years. We never look back and are always thinking ahead. I dont recognize those names.. but that doesn't matter anyways. We will continue to evolve while others are thinking of ways why clans here " just dont match up ".

Word.. played all of those courses.. there are some real gems here too.. some are harder then others to get on at.. but i have always been lucky and had an insider make calls for me.. again.. if people are around oregon and want to play.. i have been out of the game for a while.. but im down to go w/ some folks from UF..

i got no solutions.. however i do know a guy who sells pre-paid legal.. which they usually are more affordable then a full fledged attorney... and they get the job done. I have never used them personally but i know people who have got out of the most ridiculous situations because they had the card to show they have an attorney.

thats tight... i have noticed more of companies verbally calling others out in advertisements.. there is that Jack in the Box commercial where it bashes BK on how they say "have it your way" but yet the menu doesnt allow you to order anything at anytime like Jack in the box does.. and then Jack says something like " If you find we are saying something that isnt true BK... Do something about it.. " as he rips his sleeves off of his suit.. to reveal big biceps all oiled up.. love the pokes ( no homo )

yes best of luck to you.. my only advice which im sure you already know is.. Stick w/ it..and always try and see things from all angles. Its hard at times especially when RL friends and family also get tossed into the mix.. i have been running 503 for 6 years now and i have wanted to toss in the towel more then once.. but i would never let them know.. well now.. years ago i yelled at them.. i am no longer "that guy" ... and things run alot smoother..
