so I finally got this game last night. had some fun with it. I hope to get to try more maps/modes and such as I only played for < 1 hr and it was TDM. I wish the aim sensitivity could be a bit higher, even maxed out it's a little slow for my liking but otherwise I like it. A steal for $8.

zipper finally answered socom beta questions: Hey everyone, Though I have already posted in other threads today, I wanted to put this thread up so there's a central place to go. Q: When does the SOCOM 4 beta start? A: We haven't announced the times yet. Look for info the week of February 28 or the week after Q: Will there be other ways to access the beta outside of Killzone 3 in North America or PlayStation Plus in Europe? A: Yes, expect to hear the details of that around the same time as we announce the beta period. Q: How will we find out when the beta starts? A: We'll update the SOCOM.com blog with official information when the time is right.

Actually more reputable socom forum members have called Sony/SCEA and the phone people are telling everyone it will be included in tonight's store update. The question now is whether the Sony/SCEA phone jockeys know what they are talking about...

cool, I just bought one for $6. I posted up something on KZ3 forums and got in in < 10 mins. on ebay they are all going for over $10 it's crazy.

yes that is why, the beta is not available yet. sony dropped the ball on this, it says check socom.com for beta start and end dates but they don't have the info up there yet.

yep. that being said, you can always look for matches in UFGL. Click the UFGL link at the top, many games to compete in.

man there really seems to be some interesting shooters dropping soon. this, homefront, kz3, crysis2, socom4. too many to buy them all and actually spend time playing them, for me anyway. -

I'm rather unimpressed with the kz franchise. I recall when 1,2 came out how everyone went all gaga over the graphics and such. Being a pc gamer prior to ps3, I've seen better graphics before. It's JARS to me... (just another respawn shooter). edit: i like JARS so much I am hereby taking credit for that since google is telling me it is indeed original: Your search - jars "just another respawn shooter" - did not match any documents.

I only use IM's when I'm at work, so I wouldnt be using it over the weekend. You can just msg me here I check it often enough.

I have the mappack on my old account. I could give you tmp access to the account, but I think you would have to keep it on your ps3 to keep the DLC.

you do know you can increase the font size in your browser right? what browser are you using? for firefox and IE, press CONTROL and + to zoom in, CONTROL and - to zoom out.
