would somebody please define "outside communication" to me. It has been brought up recently in an evaluation topic, and i would like some specific guidelines on this please. i am curious... ...is it a conference call during a game? ...is it a messenger such as yahoo, msn, or xfire ...is it psn chats ...is it my brother in the room next to me ...is it texts to clan mates could the staff please give the community a list of what falls under the legal and illegal definitions of "outside communication" so that we are all aware for future events. thank you

this isnt right. their denial was based PARTLY on the fact that some of their roster was asociated with "glicth" clans in the past. if they apply with the same roster, they will be denied again based on this fact, so why would they bother to apply again? its very sad to see so few clans sign up for tournaments, and yet nobody will tell us exactly why clans that want to sign up are being denied entry into urgent fury. im sure there is a god reason, but ive searched the hell outta the forums and cannot find that explanation anywhere. *Partly is emphasized so nobody comes back here jumping down my fucking throat about the OTHER reasons they were denied. ive read the eval reports, and ive read their application, and i do not want anyone to think i base my post on one single thing here*

hey nade, let me give you an outside perspective here.. if a clan member, or a clan, was chosen to evaluate you and your clan, it means they themselves have been through some kind of trial period here at urgent fury and they have done all that was required to be one of the few chosen to participate in evaluation. if your clan was as good, and honest, and worthy of up as you state, then you would take your denial with dignity, find the problems, and fix them. if you just want to call people out, then you are trying to hide something that you cant or dont want to see. take a step back and loo at things from the outside. ive heard rumor that the urgent fury staff sections contains threads of glitches, hacks, stories, and tales of things that they look down upon in this particular tournament. if that is true, then anything you do that may fall under one of them catagories may disqualify you from playing here. this is a good place, and as a former tournament winner, i can honestly tell you that ther is no better place to play. my advice is to figure out what disqualified you, try to fix it in house, and most of all, CALM DOWN MAN!!! good luck to you in the future and hope to see you back often

you can take SxB off your list wolf. i really dont see any reason i need to explain to you or any other clan leader why my clan did or did not sign up for a tournament.

i love all of this news. im a mwc fan, and although not all of our teams are high caliber, a few have been making waves. if the big ten falls apart, then that opens up a legitimate bcs spot and another conference is gonna be needed to fill it. i think the mwc has the best shot

i see a few clans have offered up their reasons, and there is a lotta guessin as to why nobody has signed up, but i think a lot of clans might not want to post their reasons for not signing up due to any bias that may be held against them or the chance of opinions being taken the wrong way.

im sure by now many of you have seen the petition to re-release socom 2 on the ps3. when socom: confrontation flopped, the battle cry was SOCOM 2!!!!! even when a new release of duty gets stale, the battle cry is SOCOM 2, lol. many online gameers got their start on socom 2, quite a few on the original socom. i myself started on socom 3 and combined assault, and tried my hand at 2 quite a few nights with the +30 clan. but even with the hatred that the purists had for CA, it still seems to surpass anything that we have available today. just out of curiosity, i dug out a ps2 the other day, and played through the entire single player modes of socom 2 and 3. i cant believe how much fun i had. that one afternoon really got me to thinking about the current state of video games, and my online experience as of late. i have made some great friends by first joining a clan, then by starting my own, and also by being a part of this great community. great games brought great people together, and i dont know if anyone reading this can disagree with that statement. lately though, it seems the anticipation for the "next big game" has far outweighed the game itself, and so many new titles lay on people tv stands and entertainment centers unplayed for months and collecting dust...at 60 bucks a pop!!!! it makes me wonder if the people who make these games are killing online gameplay. what made socom 2 great? they handed you a great clan system, a handful of guns and maps, and told you here, play this. that was it. we all had our favorite gun, our favorite map, and we enjoyed meeting our clan mates online every night. a great game brought great people together. now looking to today, modern warfare 2. we all waited patiently as release day got closer and closer. the game dropped and the whole damn world bought it...and so it began. the message boards across the internet blew up with complaints and gripes about the biggest game of all time. hackers figured out every way they could to exploit the game, and after some time the game just became stale. confrontation...a game a millenium in the making was highly anticipated by socom enthusiasts, only to be a complete failure upon launch. patches to fix one issue created another, and a HUGE fanbase was decimated with this game. so is the gaming industry going after too much "bling" and not enough basics in todays games? consider this for a moment... *give me a good variety of guns, all available from the moment i sign in to play day one. *give me maps in two sizes, a core map for small groups, and a larger version for large groups (thinkk combined assault) *give me 1080p...its not that hard to do *get rid of all the little details...perks, killstreaks, specializations, blah blah blah *more game modes, in more places *a clan system based on invites, not on rank *give me servers that work, hit detection that isnt in a 3 foot circle, and mics that i can actually talk to people on *give me updates and DLC on a regular basis, and dont rehash old shit anymore...i already played it!!! i personally love the next big game as much as the next person, and i try em all. but im tired of payin so much for something that becomes a paper weight after a few weeks. give me something with replay value. i want meat and potatoes...keep your garnish for the next guy. make it simple, make it fun, and make it something that doesnt come out of my ps3 for the next 6 months. if the game designers cant do that, i dont see a good future for gaming. they may still sell a million copies, and they may make a ton of money, but for those of us who pay for and play the games, the current state of gaming just sucks. bring back socom 2. its old hat, but at least it looked good on. take your tillys, nukes, and what not, and keep em as ideas on the cutting room floor. when the next big thing drops, dont forget the gamers!!!!!

i have been watching this post since it was put up, and im kinda ashamed. now im sure many of you could spend a lotta time tellin us all how you enjoyed your day off, but im very curious how many of you spent it at a cemetery? how many of you spent time at the headstone of a loved one(s) who served in the military? im sure a lot of folks here had the day off, and like many they barbequed with friends, drank a few beers, or sat around watching tv, doin yard work, or spending time with the family. those are all very cool, but those are for labor day. ,e,orial day is for remembrance, and i hope, wish, and pray that you all took at least one moment to do that. i know i did.

i have played this game xanthe, and i have heard the comments your refering to. i think they can be taken two ways... 1. look at the time period of the game, and how jewish people were looked at back then. this could be taken as historical accuracy on rockstars part 2. look at rockstar and the shit they took over the GTA franchise, pushing the envelope a lil more each time. there are some very religious (not racist) undertones in this game. i personally think it is just a matter of how each player wants to take it, and with this release i fully expect to see rockstar on the tabloid headlines any day now.

what you said here made me laugh tow. i think of all the foul mouthed 12 year olds i hear in game every night. im pretty sure that they dont talk this way in front of parents or teachers, but in their rooms on thier headsets its enough to make a sailor blush.

a few nights back, i joined a public room on MW2 with a few players from my clan. when we were matched in the lobby, the first thing i noticed was a [503] tag on the other side. before we could say a word to anyone, that particular person made several references to sexual acts he planned on pursuing with my girlfriend and mother. i was very set off by this, and made special note to write down the players name so i could address this here. after some consideration though, i remember mention on these forums of multiple clans having the [503] tags, and knowing the ones that play here from the last few years as part of this community, i decided not to take any action as i was positive it wasnt one of the guys i know and surely not from the [503] clan i know. im sharing this because of the super cool clan tag function in all call of duty games, and want to please ask the community, even though it is a rare occasion, that if you happen to run across a familiar tag, and a player that does not meet the standards that you think that clan upholds, try to take a moment before losing respect for a clan or attacking them publicly. if nothing else, contact the clan leader and ask him if that player is in his clan. i could have jumped to conclusions, and i could have blasted a fellow clan here publicly, or even in pm's to there clan leader. instead i decided to chalk it up as mistaken identity. i hope you all have the patience and understanding to do the same, or at least address it in the proper way without ruining a reputation that doesnt need to be ruined

ive had that same virus 4 times. at first i attributed it to facebook, so i totally deleted my fb account. the 3rd time, i thought it may have been hiding on my pc so i reformatted the hard drive. i got it a 4th time just recently, and now im wonderin if i have found the culprit. i only visit 3 sites on a daily basis, and this is one of em.

oh, i have an issue... so i came home last night form work. i go in the bedroom and my girlfriend is in bed with another chick. so, at first no biggie. but then, this large colored guy comes outta the bathroom. this guy was big, and i mean that in many ways. so now i know shes fuckign around for sure. before i can say anytihng,the door hits me in the back, and a tall skinny guy walks in with some food outta my fridge. he sees me and asks if om hungry? so now im mad as fuck, so i go to the computer room, and there is a chick and a guy doin it in my desk chair, and they got porn on both screens and my fucking credit card layin on the keyboard. i just left. so now im sittin in a motel room, using the wifi on my laptop and posting here. so you wanna ask if i have issues. dumb question man. really dumb fucking question

can anyone tell me...is there a physical difference between game discs, blu ray discs, and dvds? im not talkin bout how they are made, but actual size, weight, thickness, etc. my ps3 plays games flawlessly, but lately im having trouble getting blurays and dvds to play. i try loading them 2-3 times and nothing, but throw in any game i have and it works fine? so is there a difference in these types of disc that causes this?
