That was a classic spoof. I couldn't stop laughing.....that was awesome.

So I am sure it had nothing to do with the fact that one of his favorite books was Mein Kampf....noooo, that is historic literature, it was the video games. If one of your favorite books to curl up with, was written by an individual, who had genocide and world conquest as a top goal, that might be a sign..........somehow I don't think video games is going to be the big player to push you over the edge. In fact, he probably was waiting until he finished 15th level prestige. Just saying.

Can a video game help you lose weight?
AC replied to [-VR-] Tool_Minion's topic in General Discussion
I will have to try Kung Fu download. I know that just the Gladiator duels on sports champions will wear you out. It doesn't look like it until you are in a heated duel with an 11 year old. I have been pairing that with running on a treadmill. -
With Plus you also get reduced prices on select games, avatars, on top of some of the free stuff they include.

HELP!! I need to figure out a Christmas Gift for the wife!
AC replied to Outlaw__Rebel's topic in General Discussion
If you have a decent size mall near you and your wife likes jewelry, there is a Charm Braclet store called Pandora, it is also online, but that will not get here in time but would serve you latter......You can buy a Starter (empty) silver braclet and get a couple of charms ranging from $25+ per charm to start her off. Then you can just get her a charm or two for various other occassions to fill the braclet. This will give you something to be able to never wonder about a last minute gift going forward, at least until the braclet is field. These braclets can run $1000+ if bought completely filled, but doing it a little along is much easier to stomach. -

I am still running 2 original 60 gigs I got at release time. I and my kids have gamed, watched movies, and now hulu for hours on end. So far I have been lucky. I also have been running the aftermarket fan attachments also as soon as they were available. And I have swapped out higher gig hard drive on one. So far so good. After reading this I am keeping my fingers crossed. Sent from my DROID2

UFGL will be down for maintenance and testing for the next 2 to 3 days. There should be no data loss as we will not be messing with the database. When we open back up, we think you will enjoy a new but familiar interface. Thanks again to everyone for your continued support as we continue to improve and provide you more options for gaming.

Cuba denounces 'virtual' Castro plot in new game
AC replied to HippieChik's topic in General Discussion
Isn't that exactly how castro came to power by murdering and assassinating their former dictator and leadership? Hmmmm.....I guess its only bad a bad thing if it happens to a different dictator. I am so glad they are taking such a great interest in the development of our youth. -
I feel your pain, I will be picking mine up later today and hopefully get a chance to play after kids practice and homework review.

Puddy, like you I started playing PONG when my mom and dad bought me the device from Radio Shack that had a master dial and a detachable, but still connected paddle for player 2. Matter of fact, I still have that and tried it last year and it still works. I was between 4 and 5 when I started developing my addiction and fascination. I too moved on to an Atari 2600. ET did suck but the main challenenge I got from it was to time how long it would take to beat it. But then there were all the other games, ie Defender, and the hours of playing Space Invaders. On Fridays, Saturday's, Sundays, and Monday nights, I practically lived in the arcade located in the local bowling alley. It was there I began to experience the fun of competition. My favorite was Karate Champ. But played whatever I could get my hands on. From there I was introduced to the Commodore 64 and the game Zork, the fully texted based game. Then I began experimenting on a Tandy computer after signing up for my first Basic programming classes. I was still on the Atari 2600 at that point and would game after game. The thing that frustrated me the most was that the Atari 2600 games played on a loop and there was no real way to beat it. Once you went through all the levels, it would just cycle back through. By then, the NES was coming just coming out and it made all the previous games seem to have been from the dark ages. I spent many sleepless nights playing any and every game I could get my hands on. I began to also get back into PC's and games, helping a friend of mine admin a BBS (bulletin board system) for people that could dial in on a modem and download shareware and freeware titles (such as the first iteration of Doom, Duke Nukem, Commander Keen, etc). This was also when Epic Megagames were doing these small freeware games before they hit it big. It all kept going from there, the Sega consoles, the Nintendo consoles, then the Playstation consoles came in. By then since there was no online console gaming, I began going to LAN parties and after that I became addicted to team based gaming. And as the internet and supply became faster and more accessible, I was playing games like Tribes and Tribes 2 in clan wars. Then came the Original Socom. I played it and was amazed at how great the online play was as compared to the PC gaming experience. But it wasn't until mid way through Socom 2 that I started playing the PS2 console online with Socom 2 and also Star Wars Battlefront. And it was from there that everything was putting me in the path of where I am right now. I can say I don't really miss the simple games. I appreciate them completely, because they served their purpose and were great for what they were at the time they existed. I would love for my dad to jump right in and game with me like he did in the very beginning with all the games. At the time, they were more of a novelty to him. He got his fill and then he was back to his normal hobbies. However, like so many of you, this has grown on me and has become a huge part of my life. And it is something that I can do with my family and other people from all walks of life that are brought together for this fun and intense experience. I love the new games that come out. Some are much better than others, but I love to see and experience how each game plays. Each game is fun in it's own way. There are some that i just totally do not like, but then again, someone will like it.

Puddy, I don't understand the attitude. When I check the suggestions that have been made over the past year and listened to things people wanted UF to do before we took over, we are doing everything we can to meet each one. We are even trying to go beyond and exceed expectations. All we are trying to do is pass on whatever we can get to the community. We will continue to have giveaways. Our goal in using twitter was to try something different since we have had such low response from the last giveaways. Like hippie said, its about supporting the community. If anyone has suggestions, instead of saying this doesn't work or this method sucks, tell us what would peek your interest or would cause you to participate. I think this would be more constructive to the community than just bashing the things we do try to do. Sent from my DROID2

The Army of Elite Seals (AES) formally requests membership
AC replied to funkvader's topic in Playstation
As I was saying, New teams are welcomed to Urgent Fury. Its simple really, just think of it like an organized league, softball, bowling, golf, etc. Organizing kids, adults and coaching company leagues, not once have I met a new team that will be verbally abusive or disrespectful and if so, were asked to leave. Its an easy concept, and sad so many don't understand it. Welcome again and we hope that you will continue to help us bring sportsmanship to competitive video gaming. Sent from my DROID2 -
Thanks I know exactly where that is located. Great screen shot. Sent from my DROID2
