OBAMA OR MCCAIN WHO DO YOU CHOSE

Recommended Posts

Chili-Palmer ]

That was kinda my point.

It doesn't matter what these candidates "say" their going to do.. what matters is what gets done.!!

I feel ya Chili, your point you've been trying to make is how I feel myself. I just feel Obama will do more for us than McCain.

And in that youtube video I posted, when McCain says "Al Queda is training terrorists" and then is corrected to say "The Iranians are training terrorists not Al Queda" is that not Senator Joe Biden on his right that's correcting him? I just re-watched it and took notice of that detail.

You mean, Senator Joe 'Lieberman'...don't worry, we got your back ~ lol! And if I have to hear 'Palin' speak any more lies..."I'm" going to drink some of that 'Coolaid'! >:(

EXAMPLE OF SOME OF THE LIES: 'When she says that "Alaska supplies 20% of Energy to the US". It is actually around 3.5%' (Point is that 'she said ENERGY...not oil. And even if she 'meant to say oil, which she did NOT do...that isn't 20% either). The list goes on, but I really don't have the time...

Video of Democrat VP nominee Joe Biden:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArJkzRYffec&eurl=http://hotair.com/archives/2008/09/18/biden-low-taxes-are-unpatriotic/

He's wrong. It's called wealth redistribution. Overtaxing successful people only to give that money to those that are not.

Not all rich people are saints. Not all poor people are noble.

It's clearly an attempt to make a generation of people dependent on the government, and the money other people earned.

Plus I have already shown how tight Senator Biden has been with his own money. But other people's money, he's more than happy to give it away.

When I get to the 250K + mark in my life, which will be soon, I agree with him and am more then happy to do my part to make america strong again. We all need to what we can. I want my 17 year old son to not be paying for our mistakes. I believe if you're doing better then others, it's your responsibility to help our country in these trying times. Besides, were just talking about going back to the taxes of the 90's. Those tax cuts for the rich should have never been passed. Utterly ridiculous and is part of the reason we are where we are today IMO.

Go Joe! Tell about true patriotism!!! 8)

“Catholic social doctrine as I was taught it is, you take care of people who need the help the most,†he said. “Now it'd be different if you could make the case to me that by giving this tax cut to the very wealthy, everybody else was going to be better off. We saw what happened the last eight years when we gave that tax cut."

Heck yea, that's what we need, some of Senator Biden's Catholic values. Like his Catholic stance that abortion is prefectly OK..... uh wait, that's not a Catholic value.

I'm sooooo confuuuuused.

So what's the Democratic Congress going to do about the current economic crisis?

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=washingtonstory&sid=aVPBaUbYV_qQ

Sept. 18 (Bloomberg) -- The Democratic-controlled Congress, acknowledging that it isn't equipped to lead the way to a solution for the financial crisis and can't agree on a path to follow, is likely to just get out of the way.

Lawmakers say they are unlikely to take action before, or to delay, their planned adjournments -- Sept. 26 for the House of Representatives, a week later for the Senate. While they haven't ruled out returning after the Nov. 4 elections, they would rather wait until next year unless Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke, who are leading efforts to contain the crisis, call for help.

I'm sure some will be OK with this, since this current crisis is ALL President Bush's administration fault.

So who are these two fine men that the Congressional Leadership have enough confidence in to leave this crisis to?

Well the Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairmain Ben S. Bernanke are members of President Bush's CABINET.

So it's fair to say, that the only thing the Democratic led Congress is good at is:

1. Assigning blame.

2. Going on vaction during not one, but two crisis' in a row.

The other side of the story about Obama's visit to Iraq. Like I've said many times during my life, I don't ever have a problem with the truth and always think it's the best policy. So in that sense of not being misleading, this story contradicts a post I previously made on Obama's meeting in Iraq, and all who see this will know as much as I do on the subject.

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/09/undermining-mcc.html

Lending significant credence to Obama's response is the fact that -- though it's absent from the Post story and other retellings -- in addition to Obama and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, this July meeting was also attended by Bush administration officials such as U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker and the Baghdad embassy's Legislative Affairs advisor Rich Haughton, as well as a Republican senator, Chuck Hagel of Nebraska.

Attendees of the meeting back Obama's account, including not just Sen. Jack Reed, D-RI, but Hagel, Senate Foreign Relations Committee staffers from both parties. Officials of the Bush administration who were briefed on the meeting by the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad also support Obama's account and dispute the Post story and McCain attack.

Both sides so anyone interested can decide for themselves what the truth is.

That was not necessary 'HogWild'. We KNOW, that you are a 'stand up' guy, but thanks anyway. This is why I like this thread, because we are all civil at disagreeing...but we are also honest and humble and respectable ;) Any 'other group' of individuals would be shooting each other, by now! lol

Why is it not needed? He is "informing" not "swaying".

Again, 'bad choice of words': We KNOW, that if you guys are wrong about something, you will admit it. I'm just saying that 'I'm glad that he amended', and that we are all glad that this is a stand up group we have here... ;D

I on the other hand am trying to sway. I give my thoughts and opinion with all the information that I have. I don't use falsehoods, or try to spin. Even though War Pig likes to accuse. But what I do is give the truth from my best recollection and resources. Hog is giving hard facts that show how the election is going. You make the choices after that. Be an informed voter, don't just pick one because of a certain party, do it because that person shares your same vision.

I think Obama is a Socialist that wants to raise taxes...etc.

McCain from what I can see since Palin joined the ticket is trying to chake up congress and the senate. No one is safe, reform and move forward. Do what is best for the country no matter what the consequences.

My opinion, I still am scared of McCain, but Palin really sounds like the real deal. She is the deciding vote for me. I like her and what she offers.

So far, I've been wrong about nothing.

I pass on information from reputable news sources to inform those who see it. And then allow people to make up their own mind.

Obama on one news report interfered with foriegn relations and underminded a sitting President.

Obama on another news report, from the reports straight from the White House did not interfere.

The truth is in the eye of the beholder.

But I think I am safe in saying, on this news story with reference to the Democratic Party, this is the first time President Bush wasn't a "stupid cowboy" or telling "lies".

So, either this is the FIRST thing President Bush has ever got right. Or maybe, the critisism from those in the other party need to be taken into context.

We are one country. We are all American's. If you find yourself in a bar fight in Banledesh and it's 1 American against 10 Bangledesh citizens, if I was there your numbers would increase by 100%. But if I was in the same bar, with 10 locals and 100 Democrats, I think I would still be on my own. And this thread proves that proves that point. We can't be civil, we can't agree to disagree. We have to call names, we have to insult, we have to demonize.

Can't we finish in Iraq? Can't we put up a strong front against those who want to kill us? Can't we find some middle ground on abortion? Can't we find a fair tax law? Can't we promote democracy without pissing people off around the world, probably not, some people don't want to be elected out of office. Can't we come up with clean energy solutions, the arguement has been going on for 30 years so blaming one party for a lack of clean energy is a waste of time. Can't we do something?

This country was built on the premise of compromise for the common good. I would like very much to see us get back to that instead of the partisan gridlock and finger point on both sides we have now.

WE deserve better. Be informed, vote.

I am Uncle-sid and I support this message. :-*

In the bar fight reference- As long as politics or religion were not brought up I am sure you would have 100 Americans on your side.

The day the PEOPLE take back this country instead of the politicians, bureaucrats and government.... That my friends will be a great day. US25

I have said it many times before. The 'only' time that we all come together in unison, is when someone has attacked America as a whole. What really 'hurts', is that once we've re-established things...we all go right back to our own worlds of separatism! It is normal to disagree, but it is 'sick' for us to have to have a 9/11 tragedy to get us to think the way we're supposed to be thinking and acting. If somehow we could focus on the issues that we agree on 'first', then slowly work on our differences...we might have hope.

Yeah, I've grown tired of this debate. LOL Who gives a shit about earmarks? MCcain has like 56 milion in his state. Who cares?! Our economy is in the shitter thanks to the lovely policies of Bush and Company of which McCain is in that "good ol boys" net work. McCain is going to lose in a land slide. I've said this once in this thread and sorry if it sounds harsh but, I don't see how ANYONE in their right mind can bring themselves to vote for 4 more years of this shit. It's mind boggling!!!

Because the other half of Americans see Obama for what he really is. He's a socialist who wants more government regulation of the economy, more redistribution of wealth, and more nationalization of medicine. The way I see it, the government is already too involved with our economy and his universal health care is simply a relic of communism. I do not want my hard earned money being taken away from me because some people out there refuse to make something of themselves, do not go to college, live off welfare, and expect their government to take care of them. Get a job.

well to be honest the only way i see the economy from possibly recovering is by letting the government do something about. I mean i dont think this should no longer be a case of ohh i am a republican and a republican must be president, only an older guy can be president. I vote for this guy because his running mate is a women like me. I vote obama because he is black, because he is a democrat. THE ECONOMY IS DOWN THE DRAIN AND WELL FOR NOW THE ONLY THING MANY PEOPLE CAN THINK OF IS CHANGE, MACAIN HAS SIMILAR POLICIES TO BUSH, if something goes wrong for a while you change it you try something new.

and seriously why would you call obama a socialist some say he is extrme socialismt, jeez look at the guys in latin americ, they are extreme socialist. GO FOR WHAT IS BEST FOR THE COUNTRY AND FOR EVERYONE NOT THE SELECT FEW OR BECAUSE YOU ARE A PARTY MEMBER.

The two major things going on right now can be laid right at the Democrat's feet. High gas prices and house forclosures. The gas thing started about 30 years ago with President Carter. And the housing crisis started 13 years ago when Presdient Clinton signed into law housing financing laws that encouraged bankers to loan money to those who would not be otherwise qualified.

But the Democrats are not the only culprits. I blame the entire government. They let the American people down big time.

The lesson to anyone who's thinking of purchasing a house in the future. Used a FIXED rate. The Variable rates is what did this, those loans that increased as the interest increased.

they doing something similar in my school. also about gas prices, you must remember one thing OIL isnt just about cars and stuff, we can live without cars with oil, the problem is all the stuff made out of oil. look at all the plastic stuff around you that is oil. Also 30 years ago and i am pretty sure im correct that was an oil embargo that the middle eastern nations put on us during the war between israel and egypt i believe. i could be wrong on that but it was an oil embargo that part on the embargo is true.

During the embargo people thought gas prices would never go down again, during these times there were compacts and even battery powered cars; what i dont understand is the embargo was lifted prices dropped again and then back to gas gustlers. In my view i think during that embargo we should have seen it coming, our dependency on foreign oil. Many analyst believe that these oil prices just like during the embargo will someday drop, but i doubt that.

sorry for spelling errors. dont flame on me for that, lol
