This is, I believe, the first time we're not just launching two tourneys simultaneously, but dealing with a total of 48 clans in these two tourneys. We're just busy loosening a few notches in the belt. LOL

LOL, not to undercut you or anything.....but it's "ok" to ask questions around here. The only time we get into "please no questions in the public section" is when we're in full-tilt tourney mode and a sensitive topic is being discussed between two clans. That's when we ask that those situations refrain from being brought up in the public section (where things most typically never get resolved other than the usual dick-sizing contests) and just let TWO individuals hash it out in the private Clan Rep section. Your boy's ok here, MainEvent.

NOT TRUE! When I had my PS2 and I had the HDD attachment for it, I ALSO bought what was called an "HD Loader" from an independent company. I got wind of them from other players who let me in on the secret. The HD Loader let me load up, last I checked, about 8 games into the HDD that I rented from the store. I had Burnout on there, Star Wars Battlefront on there, Socom, and a few others. Saving the game on there would take about 5-10 minutes. The only thing it would not copy would be what allowed you to play some of those games online. It was for offline play only. There were some games that worked and some that didn't, but the ones that did far outnumbered. My loaded up HDD was the PRIME reason I waited as long as I did to buy my PS3, because it had been years since I had to "buy" a game for my PS2.

Contract. I thought I made it CLEAR to Saint that we APPRECIATE your input on the situation, but once you give it to us, then LEAVE it with us. Bringing it up HERE, on the UF forums, does nothing but stir up trouble. And you KNEW that when you did this, didn't you? You could have: 1: Contacted that clan leader privately and let him KNOW about it. Because really, this is between YOU and HIM. 2: If he doesn't do anything about it, just ban the bad players from your forums. 3: Then if you feel compelled to, you report it to the UF creators in case they want to play in UF. 4: And THEN, just heed the damn advice of those UF Creators. This was a very personal matter and, AGAIN, there is no hard evidence of ANY of this that you showed me OR the members of this Community. This is you, coming out and saying something (ANYTHING) about someone (ANYONE) tarnishing the relative calm this forum had going on in the beginning stages of UF tourneys. If these things happened on YOUR forum, then UF is not going to go to your forum and lay some smack down over your head. So please, since this didn't happen HERE, and you have no evidence of this, then don't lay some smack down over OUR heads. And the next time advice and a decision on the part of the UF Creators regarding THEIR tournament doesn't go your way, please don't say "fuck it" and take it into your own hands. This was cheap. And this thread is locked.

Here at Urgent Fury, there's always been a certain unspoken rule here: What we want to see is strength vs strength, skill vs skill, wit vs wit. In short, CLAN vs CLAN. I received a PM asking if it was ok for one clan to join another clan in one of the tourneys. The short answer is......no. This isn't Game Battles, or some other anonymous ladder that looks for the statistical win over the TRUE meaning of "clan." Urgent Fury is a tournamnt site built around a CLAN mentality. Not one where a clan pulls a bunch of random gunners into their ranks just for the course of one tourney. We find that practice a little shallow. Don't curse us for it, it's just our focus here in this tournament Community. We feel that we will get better, unified forces and efforts from a one-clan/one-mentality approach than with a clan who brought in help or ringers for the sake of the win. We have had clans do this in the past, and when we found out after the fact, I can say that we were so very disappointed, to say the very least. This tournament site isn't solely about winning, it's about seeing what YOUR clan is made of when stacked up against the competition that UF brings together. And for those clans who say "we could use the help," well, when we go through the applications for every tournament, we look to make SURE that you have enough members in your clan so you ARE able to maintain a tourney turn-out. We don't invite clans who say they only have 5 members currently. This is just a clarification, and this will most likely make its way into an amendment into the rules soon. Thank you.

Thanks again guys. This community and our tourneys are only as good as the clans that we attract. We set up the rules, we set up the game play and we set up the tourneys. But it's the clans that make the community either shine or falter. So make sure the CLANS are in those "thank you" posts as well.

We don't highlight new changes, but we try to make announcements whenever we have changes made to them. Thank you for pointing out the M2 thing, though. If you would, please PM this to me so I can use it as a reminder to change later. Although, I think for this Black IV tourney, which is all Map Pack 2 maps, I don't believe there are any vehicles on there. None-the-less, M2 mines are illegal as well. -

Anyone who lives in Chicago SHOULD be saying "tap water." Chicago has the #1 cleanest filtered water right out of our tap. And I don't buy bottled water anymore since I found out what creating and shipping those crates of plastic COSTS the environment. Get a steel or aluminum bottle, and FILL IT.
