  1. I'd like to extend a UF farewell to OGC who were eliminated on the same night as 503 and APC. What a killer night for clans, huh? OGC has been here since the beginning of Urgent Fury....and with the way clans can come and go at the whim of a leader or its players and disappear into nothing, it's a testament to OGC for how long they have been around....and around UF. If UF hasn't broken them up by now with our trying tourneys, then they must very well be the real deal. Good job in Riot Act, fellas, and nice run. If you have enough guys who still have war in their blood, there's a day, maybe two, where you can hurry and scramble to sign up for Crucible-3 and we can still get you in. There's RONIN runnin' sign-ups right now for your individual players to try and win a copy of SOCOM Confrontation on their own as well. If you guys need a break, then it's understandable, and we'll hopefully see you next tour. - TOW
  2. We do not wish to OVER-saturate one side of the tourney. If THAT many people signed up for one of the two tourneys.....more than 64.....then we would just throw in a THIRD division into it all and then just give away a THIRD copy of SOCOM: Confrontation. This way, we don't lessen a player's chances of winning the game by putting them against 63 other players instead of just 31. But then again, we're no where near 64 players in ONE of the tourneys yet, so we may not have to worry about this.
  3. Crucible-X2 sign ups are now up on the forum. We will have approximately 2.5 weeks of sign-ups. The tourney will start the last week of July.
  4. I, sadly, must say the same. :'( Looking forward to CONFRONTATION!
  5. It still very well might, but again, we set this minimum to 64 players. Considering we entertained about 18 clans here for Riot Act, which figures to about 576 players (not counting those involved in Crucible-3 and Black VI) we were sure we wouldn't have too much a problem reaching it. Something to remember, though.....if we reach 64, no MATTER the ratio, both will go on. We could have 54 players in the CoD4 side and only TEN on the SOCOM side, and both will go on. That means those SOCOM entrants have HELLA good odds going into that tourney and winning! LOL
  6. The 503 Blunt Smokers are the seventh clan to fall in Riot Act....and the second clan to fall here in Week 5. I'd like to thank the members of 503 for continuing to support the Urgent Fury tournament arena by continuing to grace us with your presence. You guys are a great bunch and I'm always happy to see you guys sign up for a tourney of ours here. If you still have it in you, there IS still some time to sneak you into the Crucible-3 tourney OR the Black VI tourney. If you wish to, splash up an app up there and we'll get you rolling. There's also RONIN going on for any of your singular gunners looking for some action. If not, then stick around and we hope to see you on the next tour. - TOW
  7. APC was eliminated on Thursday night from the Riot Act tourney. APC was the sixth clan eliminated from this tourney lasting until week 5. On behalf of UF, I'd like to thank you for participating in this one and playing it up as UF expects of a clan. On behalf of APC, I'd like to thank all the clans we went up against in this tour. We won a few, and it brought us together. We lost a few, and it made us a little stronger. Good job, guys, and good luck to the remaining clans in the tourney!

    POW camps

    Thank you. Fixed.
  9. Well, at the bottom of it all, congrats on getting a pro team. You don't know HOW many words I had to backspace on that ONE sentence there to get everything spelled right. I've only had four sips of this vodka. I nee something to eat.

    POW camps

    This should be which one?
  11. Yea dude lets sign up for Socom/PS2.. Think of it as a donation to UF. ;D Even BETTER, think of it as your chance to win a pre-ordered SOCOM: Confrontation of your own! I don't know ANYONE here who wouldn't mind paying $4 for the next installment of SOCOM!
  12. Hey everyone, I just wanted to drop a line here to remind anyone who may have glanced over it the first time.....UF: RONIN, the 1v1 single elimination tourney involving both SOCOM on the PS2 and CoD4 on the PS3, will ONLY launch if both the SOCOM and the CoD4 sign-ups reach 64 players or more. Anything under that and we will be forced to shut RONIN down. This is the opportunity to go man-to-man against some great talent here in UF.....as well as potentially claiming the upcoming SOCOM: Confrontation, mailed to your door, for only $4.00. Take a chance! It could save you some cash! Sign up are now up in this forum. Tell your clan mates! Who DOESN'T want a copy of SOCOM: Confrontation for only $4? Remember.....sign ups only last for another week and a half! - TOW
  13. Hey everyone, invites for both Black VI on the PS2 and Crucible-3 on the PS3 will be handed out here on the forum TONIGHT, Wednesday, at roughly 11-midnight. Clans will have an opportunity to pick these invites up, as well as name their clan reps, through the rest of this week. Wars begin NEXT WEEK. Good luck to all those who applied. And to all those who didn't, there is STILL time to sneak in that app before they get closed off this evening! Get your clan on it! - TOW
  14. From UF, I'd like to give you guys a CONGRATS on the Crucible-X win. Though there weren't a lot of clans in the first X-tourney, that never means that there wasn't competition. Every competition needs a winner and you guys deserve it. Nice work, people, and hopefully we'll see an LTU return to the next X-tourney so that a crown can be defended!
  15. Looking forward to seeing some SHO guys there. You've been added to the list.
  16. Thank you for posting this.
  17. My opinion is that a bunch of games....all KINDS of games.....get delayed in one way or another. It's just the bigger names, the highly anticipated ones, that hurt the most. Like SOCOM. And I always stand my ground. My world does not rise or fall with the release of a new video game. I love SOCOM, and when it comes out, WHEN it comes out, I will be happy. If they need extra time to make it EXTRA BETTER than simply releasing it BEFORE its ready, then applause to them and I will wait. As for a boycott.....you boys are funny. There is NO ONE HERE ready to boycott SOCOM. But that was a tickler....LOL All games get pushed or delayed are run into snags. It's just we don't give a shit about those. We give a shit about SOCOM.
  18. Yes, you need to clean your cookies. And remember, everyone, don't forget to pass this along to your clan mates who may not frequent the UF forum a lot, depending on you to deliver their UF tourney news TO them. We will not be running this tourney unless the combined entries between both SOCOM and CoD4 equal or are greater than 64 players. And for those of you who may be fretting that SOCOM may get pushed back a month to October (real news release pending), then that may just give UF a chance to throw ANOTHER Ronin tourney out there.....for another two copies of SOCOM: Confrontation for the winners. Bring your clansmen here and represent the tag!
  19. No, it is considered part of the Chicago Forest Preserve. Different thing. I have already made the phone call and they verified. Alcohol is fine, just no glass containers. Aluminum cans only. Good thing Guinness already took care of that.

  21. We were very happy to choose them.
  22. YES. This is stated in the application.
  23. Yeah, we heard. We'll amend the counter as soon as something is released.
  24. It's official, UF will be reserving space at the CALDWELL WOODS for August 2nd. PLENTY of parking and PLENTY of space! There will be BBQing and drinking (all BYO) with, I'm sure, some good sun sports such as "bags," frisbee, we'll see if we can get some horseshoes going on and what not. That will be daytime/early evening. From there, we will adjourn to a nearby bar. NEXT to the CALDWELL WOODS, as in across the street, are both Superdawgs (super cool retro 'dog place) as well as a Dominick's, which is Chicago's big grocer so that people can stop THERE to pick up any food/drink to bring it over. WE WILL NOT GO WANTING! And Sniper and I already discussed today......we're pretty sure we're going to hold a TOURNAMENT for the bags game where, yes, we'll even have a prize for that too! We won't spell out EXACTLY what it is.....but let's just say that if you don't get your chance to win the UF: RIOT ACT Champion shot glasses....these might fill that void a bit. First comes Urgent Fury: Ronin.......now come's URGENT FURY'S BAGS! LOL
