    We had a monsoon-like storm roll through here late last night and early this morning. Everybody in the area took in water as EVERYTHING flooded. We got over a half a foot of rain in a very short period. The streets looked like rivers and when someone drove by it actually made wakes that went up to the top of the drive. My man cave has been temporarily relocated until the carpet is dried/cleaned. I haven't slept much, being the plumber in the family isn't good for this situation. The phone hasn't stopped ringing with people asking for assitance or pumps to get the water out. Luckily we only had seepage, but other people had full out sewage back up in excess of 2-5 feet.

    I couldn't agree more. They make it like the Heat are going to go 82-0 and then run the table in the playoffs. ESPN is constantly talking about them still and it's just getting lame. Talk about CURRENT news ESPN, enough is enough. The Heat have no depth or a legitimate Big Man and will get demolished in the playoffs as it stands right now.

    Big Papi beats Hanley in the final 11-5. Corey Hart was on fire in the 1st round with 13, but the long wait before his next turn seemed to really impact him. He fizzled in the second round and fell short of the final.

    Interesting. Comcast's 50 mb service came out almost 2 years ago if memory serves. I wonder why it took so long for Cox to offer it? When did Comcast buy them out?

    We don't get Cox here. Comcast pretty much has the whole market for Cable Internet in Chicagoland. They've had a 50 mb service for a while, but it's around $149.99 a month. I'll stick with the 22mb service until they lower the price on the 50 mb service. I pay enough for internet and cable as it is.

    It is missing some of the better sluggers of this year for various reasons (mostly injuries). I would have liked to see Vlad, Hamilton, Bautista/Konerko, Votto, and Pujols be in there opposed to some of the selections. Looking at this class, it looks clear that Miggy Cabrera is the favorite and that's who I am picking. I think it will be he and Holliday in the final.

    It's funny, I think I may have burnt myself out on VR's forums talking sports. Over the last week we have had about 20 different topics that have held very good sports debates.

    What provider Ghost? I have 22 down/5 up from Comcast. I'm satisfied with those speeds, but would look into upgrading. What's the monthly plan too?

    Agreed Prane. At this point it is looking less and less likely Jamarcus ever takes another NFL snap, this just added more reason not to look at him. What he NEEDS to do is work his tail off and get back in shape. If that means taking a year off like Pacman (signed 2 year deal with Bengals in May), then working out next spring then so be it. Given his history of laziness and weight gain, the odds are heavily against him.

    Jax I was thinking about something. You only play MW2. Try popping in another game and see if the same XMB lag occurs. If it doesn't, just delete your Game Data (NOT Save Data) for MW2 and that should fix it. If the same lag occurs with other games, then I don't know what to suggest.

    I love the new maps. Strike and Vacant were a lot of fun and feel the same as in CoD4. Carnival is freakin' WICKED. I love that map, though it plays a little weird on Headquarters. Trailer Park is my second favorite. A run and gunners paradise. Even when people camp, there isn't much protecting them (thin sheet metal). I liked it on S&D and Demo a lot. Fuel is pretty cool. It plays best on Demo in my opinion. It feels a lot like Sandstorm from Socom, having to break an enemy defense into the Bravo Warehouse and plant. I have yet to play Domination on any of the new maps, surprisingly. Definitely worth my $15.

    Rust HQ is the bomb. I never run nuke on that map, but if I did I could easily get 3+ per map. 20 minutes of Rust is pure awesome. Honestly though I hardly ever run nuke anymore, it's pretty pointless. It comes in handy for Tac Maps, but Crucible they are restricted, and Public Matches they are just overkill.

    On that note of the leaderboards...I don't see why it would be so hard to remove the immensely obvious hackers. There's well over 500 people with the exact same amount of kills at the top. I mean c'mon...Some of the KDR's on the top of the leaderboard are like 100:1 or higher. The leaderboard hacks don't affect me personally, but I despise cheaters so much that I would LOVE to see them all banned.

    That's what I've been going to school for lol. I am going to the Academy in the fall and will be ready to be hired locally in this coming March. I have my associate's right now. I'm going to classes working towards my Bachelor's this summer and will take a few classes this fall. I have the Academy Tues/Thurs/Sat (4 hours/4 hours/8 hours) this fall running through March, so I'll squeeze a few day classes in between. The program I'm taking gives me 20 college credits, in addition to 360 out of 400 of my academy hours. Thankfully I won't lose much progress working towards my Bachelor's and ultimately Master's during this program thanks to the 20 credits that it entails. The big picture plan is FBI, Marshals, or Secret Service by the time I'm 27 or at the latest 32. You're forced to retire from Government Agencies at age 57, so pension wise 25-30 years is optimal. I have to get my feet wet with a local agency first and get my Bachelor's before I can apply for those Gov. agencies. To be competitive with the influx of applicants I'm going to need to get my Master's in Criminal Justice and Minor in Computer Tech.
