    I rented one when we had a twister touch down here, but is it really worth 5 grand? The power was only out 2 days and if I had to estimate I get only 1-3 power outages a year.

    All the news on CoD 5 is just rumors and speculation stemming from a job ad on Activision's site that said something along the lines of "would you like to work on a call of duty game with developer Treyarch" it also said "if you're a fan of World War 2 shooters, then even better!" Just a note Treyarch did Call of Duty 3 and they gave little effort to help their fan base ala Zipper. Infinity Ward did every Call of Duty except 3 and they by far are the better developer. But hey if Activision wants to ruin the series, go back to WW2 and Treyarch...I personally love CoD 4 and the modern warfare theme and would not purchase CoD 5 if it is set in WW2.

    This one looks far better than the first. I must say when I saw the first one I thought it would suck and be a bust, mainly due to how bad that Freddy vs Jason movie was. Usually when you combine two totally separate films it makes for bad movies, but the first was a fairly good movie and this one looks better.

Japanese outfielder Kosuke Fukudome has agreed to terms on a four-year deal with the team, pending his passing a physical. Sources confirmed the contract Tuesday night, which would run through 2011, and was believed to be worth $48 million. The highly sought outfielder had announced his intention to come to the U.S. and the Major Leagues early Tuesday, and had several teams to chose from, including the Cubs, San Diego Padres, Chicago White Sox, San Francisco Giants and Texas Rangers. Fukudome, 30, had considered multi-year deals from the Tokyo-based Yomiuri Giants and his former team, the Chunichi Dragons. Fukudome and his wife were expecting their first child, and he was not expected to come to Chicago until next week, a source said. The Cubs are looking for a left-handed-hitting outfielder to take over right field and balance their right-handed lineup. Fukudome, who has averaged 29 homers between 2003-06, was limited last season because of bone chips in his right elbow. Cubs manager Lou Piniella said scouts have described the outfielder as a cross between Hideki Matsui and Ichiro Suzuki. Fukudome has a career .305 batting average over nine seasons with the Chunichi Dragons, who won their first Japan championship in 53 years on Nov. 2.

    This is funny coming from a Bears fan Chicago Bears 2006 NFC Champions...Detroit Lions...uhh...1957 WFC Champions? Nuff said lol... That was then and this is now, umm whats there 2007 record? and how many times did they beat the Lions in 2007 hmmmm ??? LoL Bears 5-8 basically out of playoffs. Lions 6-7, 5 game losing streak, essentially cooked as well. So much for Kitna and Roy Williams 10 win guarantee LOL .

    I was told today the only noobs don't play Gamebattles. So here is to all us noobs in our noobdom. Trust me, I have been there and done that and there is MANY clans here who can easily make top 5 on GB. They are the noobs and now that they took away quick sniping a bit they don't want to play any more. I do not take anything from any clan here, but I have seen some of the best of the best here and that's a fact! I don't keep up with GB at all, but I know they all used to quicksnipe and say "it isn't a glitch." Was there an uproar when the patch released and they were finally proven wrong?

    George Mitchell has sent his 21 month report of players who used/use steroids in MLB. There are alleged to be 60-80 current/former MLB players on this list and it is expected to hit the media this Thursday. There are going to be huge repercussions following this report as players who have never been implicated in steroid use will be revealed and stars may fall from grace.
