  1. I wish people would stop complaining, and realize that there are approximately 50 clans, competing in 2 separate tournaments, on 2 separate consoles, all at the same time, and we are trying to cater to all of them right now. The decision was made in the event that online play would be interrupted. Just to avoid any headaches or rescheduling snafus related to this problem. It wasn't necessarily about a lack of information, but more of a "better safe, than sorry" type of thing. C'mon, can we get one person to just say "thanks for all the hard work"? Thanks, and Enjoy your run in Crucible 2.
  2. I....I....I think I'm in love.
  3. Chili, we've closed the PS2 wing of the B&G. It is currently undergoing renovations for the Next Gen phase of Socom. Although, we do have a handful of shooters who still fight it out nightly on Socom:CA. X_H3LLBOY_X in particular, has been holding the fort down for us on PS2, until Confrontation drops for the PS3. I may find my way online to shoot it up on some Crossroads though.
  4. LMAO......Ummmm, I'll be back in a little while. I have a letter to write.

    Podcast?

Hey, that's a nifty new sig yer sportin' there Tow. C'mon podcast!!!!
  7. Wow....and the sad thing is...he could still kick my ass! One of the last true legends of Hollywood, whether you agreed with his politics or not. RIP.
  8. First of all...if you have to Google MLK to understand what he stood for, or what he was fighting for...you have bigger problems than why you posted in this thread. King holds his place in history because he fought bigotry with his heart & soul....with kindness & love. He knew that you can't fight bigotry with bigotry, or bloodshed. He taught an entire nation, that the constitution was, and is, about the equality of every man, regardless of his ethnicity or religious beliefs. And that God had created us all the same, and had ordained that every man should be afforded total freedom. Sure, Washington & Lincoln were immense figures in the landscape of this nation's history. And we have set aside a day to recognize them. But, every war they waged in the name of freedom, was waged with cannon & musket. Dr. King waged his war using nothing but his hope, his heart, his mind, & his soul. In the end, he was murdered because he wanted the very thing that our founding fathers had proclaimed was the foundation that this nation was built upon....freedom. He had enough courage for and entire race of people, and King won his war, without throwing a single punch. P.S. We did have a Happy Easter thread here on the forums...maybe you just overlooked it. Peace. ~V~
  9. I actually wrote a song about Dr.King called "You'll Never Kill The Dream". The last line of the chorus sums up my feelings about the man..."You can kill the dreamer...but you'll never kill the dream". I'd like to think we've come a long way since his death, and that he'd be happy about our progress. Unfortunately, I can't say with any degree of certainty that he would be. He was a man who faced a culture who hated him, with love and courage. And people who use King's name in the same sentence as Malcom X, baffle me. They were totally different creatures. He's was truly one of those people who literally changed the face of an entire nation. All I know is that I was a white kid who grew up in the heart of Detroit, MI in the 70s. And, despite the racial tensions that existed in that city then...I remember that my best friend was John Clark. And it didn't matter that he was black. He had an awesome G.I. Joe collection, and somehow, I always got muddy when I'd go over to his house to play. I'll never forget that. Good thread. Let's keep The Dream alive.
  10. While Baz Luhrmann is often credited with actually performing the song, which hit the charts in 1999. The truth is, he only produced it. The lyrics were written by Chicago Tribune columnist Mary Schmich (originally as a commencement speech), and the vocals were actually performed by Australian actor Lee Perry. I do think it's a great message though. And it was cool to hear it again. Thanks.
  11. "Apple....How'm I gonna' quitchoo'?"......annnnnnnnd SCENE!!! Tow's such a sensitive whiner!!! Yet....I find him strangely attractive. Damn Double A....call him back....he watches your show...and stuff*. *Thanks to the Blunt Force Gym, with 2 NEW locations to serve you.

  18. We should make an official UF Rule that states, that in order for your clan to participate, your clan must in fact love the tasty goodness that is, a good ol pot of pie.
  19. Ahem, ...a poem. Money is green, and so is the grass, please don't call Staff Members names, it makes you look like an ass. Carry on kids. But seriously, let's play nice. Red was just doing his job Chili, and you know that. You may have been kidding, and he may have been mistaken, but he was just doing his job. It's just been a pain to get everybody to confirm their applications. And it just seems if these clans are really serious about participating, they'd take care of the things that they know they need to take care of. Now, let's be safe out there. (thanks Havoc...lol)
  20. No matter who wins this thing, I have to say, it's been one of the most interesting NCAA Tourneys in a while. I mean, Davidson, Western Kentucky, and a whole handful of "underdogs" made quite an impression this year. It gives these smaller programs something to build on, and it's just exciting for the game.
  21. Just show us where the bad man touched you Tow.
