Gameplay..... In the Socom 4 site they want the dolphin dive back... NO! I don't want the jump snipe crap again! I want head shots to be HEAD SHOTS! Whether they are from front or behind. Hit detection must be MUCH better than in the past! The VIPs(Hostages) MUST be smarter than /6!! I almost want it that the team holding the hostages cannot wound the hostages. It is realistic but I think it is a little cheap too. I don't know if I want PMN mines back. I like the idea of giving both sides claymores. Either way with the claymores, set off by user or set it and forget it. I don't want prox mic. Or if they do make sure it WORKS! not like /6. No magic bullets! spray and pray should be JUST THAT, NO ACCURACY! I want realism to a point. I also want a TACTICAL shooter. Not a button masher! No running around with a .50 cal like it is an assault rifle! I would like one person to show me a REAL video of someone running, jumping and firing a Barrett like that. I wouldn't mind weather playing a part on maps. Say high winds so your bullet will curve. Just a thought. CANNOT be cartoony!! I understand it is a video game but Socom started with REALISM IMHO. Non Game play..... I want a TRUE connection indicator. BETTER than CODs and previous socom. I want a host indicator. They have done it in the past I don't see why they cannot now. No visual indicators so dead players can tell live players someone is behind them. Vote In game text chat is ONLY in the lobby! If you have classes allow them to be changed in the room. Don't make it so you have to back out to change outfits so to speak. Clan support must be user friendly and organized.

For those of you that have not seen this you may want to take a look at it. I know UF is primarily a Socom based site. This thread was started by someone that apparently represents GB and IMHO everyone at GB thinks they are the end all of who knows what Socom should be. Now I don't have an issue with some of the ideas but some things just need to be dropped. You mean it came out in '08? Where the F have I been? Socom 4 has been out for 2 years and we are just learning about it? ;D You do realize that '08 means 2008, right? If you mean to say August then you would post 8/2010. I heard that it wasn't due until 11/2010.

There are a couple of reasons why you might want to reset your router. Memory leak. Over time there may be issues where you router's memory may not release data as it is suppose to. Happens with any type of RAM. False connections. Your router may have several connections to outside sources at any given time. Even though you disconnect the router may not fully disconnect. Both of those situations create what I call a hogging situation. Those resources that should be open are now full because of improper releases of data. When you power down all data in the RAM is lost so you have now cleared that access data.

Yesterday morning Sony did a major overhaul of their forums and Playstation site. Yesterday afternoon the PSN which is now connected to those same forums has issues. Today the PSN is still down for the most part and the forums are still REAL SLOW as well as not 100% functioning. Well about 5 minutes ago the forums started to work, at least for now, like they should. No long waits, searches are actually working and all the data is starting to show. Spoke to soon, forums are acting up again. Maybe it is coincidental but maybe the issues are related.

Just as a reminder IF they for whatever reason have to do a recall ANYTHING saved on that HDD will be lost. You may want to backup anything that you feel is valuable. I wonder if they are still so unsure of what is going on that they posted that? You know all this started around the same time Cindy Crosby scored that goal.... IT IS ALL HER FAULT! IF the date issue is correct then it is feasible that it could be divisible by 4 issue because the PS3 was launched in late 2006. So IF it were to happen it would have happened in 2006. NOW if that is the case then WHY wouldn't they have not seen it during development? The PSN and PS3 were being tested in Feb 2006, I GUARANTEE THAT! So why wouldn't they have had that issue then? Granted there are firmware upgrades but according to them it is not a firmware issue that it is an internal clock that is not affected by firmware or OS. I don't know what the answer is but that answer doesn't make sense. Yes the clock is resetting on some but that could be just a side affect. Also WHY would this be happening to specific models. Yes the slim has a little different hardware but for the most part that internal clock would be the SAME! It is the SAME concept for timing and would be the SAME firmware for that clock.

Irish I 100% agree. There are posters saying that it is an internal clock blah blah blah... I have had my 20GB since launch, why hasn't this happened before? I have a feeling it has to do with all the updates over the weekend for the PSN. Even their forums are VERY slow and not 100% functioning. BTW my 20GB was on fine last night.

No offense to anyone but until something is officially posted from Zipper or Sony I will not believe "I have a contact" or someone's blog about I have a cousin that works next door to Zipper and they heard them next door saying Socom 4. It is ALL rumor! If your "contact" was somehow caught giving ANY information to ANYONE they could be fired and 8 balled out of the industry! Why would someone even consider risking that for someone they met online? I wouldn't risk that kind of money or job telling my wife I was working on Socom 4.

Here are some problems with MAG. You have Squads and Platoons with leadership roles and then you have a CHEESEY clan support system! WTF is that? This would be a PERFECT game to have outstanding clan support with clan battles and so on and they TOTALLY missed on that! You have 3 factions. Each faction has "different" qualities. One has GREAT weapons where another has easier maps to defend. What faction do you think MOST people will want to take? Hmmmm.... People want balanced game play. Create generally equal maps and weapons and people will be happy. The fact that you can be on the attacking team 9 out of 10 times is an issue. Sorry to many times where I am attacking and not once in the night where I defended. Just a little variety would be nice! No private rooms. WHAT!? You can't even setup a private room to play with your friends? Let me guess, this was my ole buddy Seth's idea! Fucking idiot! You guessed it the biggest issue with MAG is Seth Luisi was involved in the development of this game. His ideas have RUINED Socom! Just to give you an idea it was HIM that came up with the OTS view! Sorry but Zipper/Sony need to bring back David Sears and fire Seth!

Hippie - Download is from internet to you and upload is you to the internet. The higher the number the better for both. Ping is the time it takes to send a packet from you to the server and back. The lower that number is the better. Your download is nice. Your upload is REALLY bad IMHO. Ping is not to bad.

You know IF you would have been smart the first post should have said... "THEY RESET ALL STATS!!" LOL There are some new issues that I have seen. Randomly after you have thrown a nade and it explodes for some reason you drop one at your feet too.

GOOD!! I was really getting tired of getting the drop on someone and not getting the kill because the hit detection was off. You should be rewarded for out thinking your opponent, not given an equal chance because you were not paying attention to your surroundings!!

I only got to play for a little bit. Server crashes didn't help.

I got mine today too. I won't start downloading until later though.

Where did you see this? I have not played online in a while, only single player so it really doesn't matter to me but on their site I see nothing other then we are looking in to it which means jack shit.

Yeah a Sony Producer ALSO said we would be getting a finished product as well as that we will be pleasantly surprised on how good Socom would be. Sony Producers are FULL OF SHIT!!!! And notice they don't compare COD to Socom. Those blow Socom's numbers AWAY!!

Quoyah, I don't think there is a client side application that does this. I know with a server you can setup some scheduling but that would limit it to kid 1 from 1PM to 3PM kind of setup, not logged in for 2 hours. What I use to do is have a kitchen timer that when there was a time where 2 wanted time on the PC was to set the timer to 30 minutes, or whatever, then when the timer went off that was it.

1 Map Pack Couldn't fix the host leaving issue, or wouldn't. No rumble for dual shock several glitches not fixed IF you remember or were ever there on their website forums the players helped more then the company trying to troubleshoot connection issues. There was more communication from the company for the 360 side even though there were more numbers on the PS3 side. I use to say IW was the worst in terms of support or communication but /6 has taken over that spot so IW is #2.

With their BULLSHIT support for the PS3 on COD4 I will NOT give them any extra $$$!!!! I want to try COD4 2 BUT IF they dick around again on the PS3 side I will find Bowling(sp?), find Luisi and shove both up eachother's ASS!!!
