You guys want these maps, they are available.... SOCOM 2. Why do you want maps you've ALREADY paid for when you bought Socom2? They will charge for DLC and your asking for old maps you've already bought. So sure, bring back Fishook and ruin it robbing it of its true characteristics by making it a breach map. Or make it a demo map..... What made the maps great were that they were mode specific! Whoring Enowapi out to 5 different modes does NOT equal 5 new maps. Its 1 map, we've already bought, ruined by removing the characteristics that got you to love that map in the first place.

Bottom line is, the game is awesome. The graphics, clan set up and features are right there with anything else out right now. Maybe it didn't have the "hold" characteristic that we had hoped but it's still a great game. I throw it in every so often when I have time to game. Coming on these forums and talking about anything other than Socom is like wearing a Ohio St jersey to a Michigan pep rally (it's just not gonna be that good for ya). 7000 on Socom is just sad..... If you took the clan features (roster, ladders, tournaments, officer promotions) from Killzone2 and put in CoD4's graphics and gameplay then we'd all still be there playing. The first game to combine those 2 features will bring a HUGE following.

I would like this to stay on a high level of discussion but seriously.... Does anybody else here view this as I do? Don't get me wrong, if you like the game continue to play it. It's called "gaming" cause it's supposed to be fun and that really is the bottom line. It's completely ok if you "like" what the Socom series has become. It's also completely ok if you "don't like" what the Socom series has become. Does anybody else dislike that every map has become whored out with every mode? I really enjoyed the mode specific maps...... Does it bother anybody else that here we are 4+ years from Socom 2 and what you have right now is 4 new maps? Does it bother anybody else that the only DLC you have got from this latest version is patches to get the game to where it should have been launch day? Does it bother anybody else that the rumor now for DLC is 1 new map and 3 old ones? Making 1 new and 3 old maps available for play on 5 different modes each is not 20 new maps. Its still only 1 new map (that most likely you'll have to pay for). I try to stay out of these threads because its your right to like or not like something. But I refuse to believe people are this blind to not have these be legit issues within your Socom loyalty and gaming. Like I said, gaming is to be fun so do what makes you happy. But, I don't see how people can continue to be "shocked" that people have left this series and moved on. The numbers are WAY down and thats fact. I was on CoD:W@W last night and there was 84k on.

No we didnt...... The multiplayer for GTA was garbage from the start! GTA had all the hype pre-release and it bombed. Killzone2 had all the hype pre-release and I dont want to jinx it, but its living up to every bit f it and more.

Person "A" is a classmate of my 9 year old daughter. Person "B" is my 9 year old daughter. Just found about about the "tie" yesterday and wanted to know if they were related in any way.

Person "A" ties to Person "B" by Person "C". Person "A" has a father, with a father, with a father who is cousins with Person "C". Person "B" has a father, with a father, that has an uncle thats married to Person "C". Is there any relation between Person "A" and Person "B"?

I always thought of the UF as more of a "Clan based" gaming community. If Killzone 2 has clan support (which is missing in all the games out there right now) I can see it becoming a game of choice for a lot of people. GRAW & Rainbow 6 Vegas were great "military type" shooters that weren't played here (mostly due to the lack of clan support). ToP BiLLiN has a few people spread around right now playing NHL 09, CoD WaW, Left 4 Dead, and a few other things but our intrest in a "clan" game right now is Killzone 2. And the reason there isn't much said around here about Killzone 2 is because all you unhappy Socom believers jump down the throats of anybody that posts something different. This "used" to be a Socom site but it's grown to be a gaming community and I thinks thats a good thing. There is PLENTY of hype around this game and a lot of clans are waiting patiently with their fingers crossed for it to drop.

Great point Goat..... This is a MAJOR factor in upper level gaming. I have spent a lot of hours with professional gamers (yes professional) and all play on a competitive level with smaller televisions. Less field scanning = less head movement.
