The in game code is the source of our lag. Socom and most games for that matter are a hybrid of server client and peer to peer. So i don't see paying an extra fee so they code the game correctly. If they made the game strictly server client then yes i would pay 5 dollars a month.

awe junk i just seen this thread been looking at home theater also and have found amazon.com to be a great place to research systems and they have great prices on cables/ systems. How do you balance gaming and your wife / significant other?!

Man I'm still trying to work out a good balance. So far I go home eat dinner then log on unless their is a war then I try and practice and eat dinner at the same time. (never goes well since this just makes her pissed). We just had a baby so the nights i dont play I mostly play with her so this does not help either.... Want to work out a system where war nights i can just play and other nights i can spend time with her until she goes to sleep then start playing. Tried this before and it always seems to just fall apart. -
Wasn't it an arcade and if you beat enough guys you could start his special dance move.... I think i've wasted some quarters on that when i was kid.

I'm hooked on it already. Yeah the bugs are bad and so is the lag but the non respawn gameplay and intensity is still there. Going to play beta until they close down the servers then i'm going to be impatiently waiting for the full game to be released. I haven't bought into the mag hype yet. I keep thinking that this is the same lead game designer that gave us socom 3 and socom CA. The guy who was the lead designer left zipper after completing socom 2 (true story he got hired by sony). So until they actually give us something that we can play, I'm going to hold off on saying anything good or bad about it. -
I verified that they do have a 150 credit on first purchase but it says that it can take 8-12 weeks to kick in so you will have to pay intrest for that time on the last 150. oh and i was wrong its the 80 gig.

I don't know if this one is true so you will need to research more but i don't have any reason to not believe it. Get a 40 gig PS3 for $250.00 You have to get a Sony CC the sonystyle.com (sony's official online store) the CC comes with a coupon code for 150.00 off one purchase Buy the 40 gig for 400.00 and use the coupon code to make it $250 total.

yes but you did not have to preorder to get that demo... I think the same thing by the way. demo or beta if it works out im going to play it until they dont allow me to anymore.

In the QA he didn't mention how slow it makes you. If it makes you really slow then cool but if its barely noticeable then thats a jip. why wouldn't everyone use heavy armor? only a few more weeks and we can see for our selves. I know a few people at Sony but i still couldn't get into this 50 people private beta.
