I got a 1 year subscription to Readers Digest. I was trying to figure out what my most useless gift was.. i ventured to get the mail .. and low and behold my very first issue had arrived which reminded me that this was infact the most useless gift... my wifes grandma got it for us.. she had sent us a card informing us on what was to come.. YAAAY

I too have this prob w/ my 60... the sony rep says its an over heating issue and wont tell me any more then that other then its $150 for repairs.. takes about 7-10 days once they receive it. They also told me you get back what you send in... so if you send in a 60 although you might get a larger hard drive.. you will infact get the same features back.. including backwards compatible and the card readers. I ended up just buying an 80gb MGS4 edition... and i actually am finally gonna send in my 60 here in less then a month.. TAXES BABY!!! lol

did a reset of modem and router.. i have nothing downloading and i have now been in 5+ rooms where all players are complaining.. players are running around w/ guns aimed in the sky but are killing people across the map. Its due to server and everyone downloading im sure.. as time goes on it will/should get better... atleast thats what im thinking anyways.. ( been wrong plenty of times before )

So far i dont think any games that get trophy support added has been retro active.. i could be wrong on that .. but i am pretty sure that all stats will be reset and that we will have to start over ... i have been wrong plenty of times though. I am pretty sure i read this on socom.com in one of the many updates they gave us before the final details were released about the patch.. i will see if i can dig it up.

remember double wins on the ruins?? at one point.. if you planted the bomb and killed the last guy on the opposing team you would infact get 2 wins for one round worth of play.. i did love that map.. besides the lag that seemed to plague that map as well as Bitter Jungle... both fun.. but seemed to have some sort of hang up w/in the coding ... i suppose it could have had something to do w/ the abundance of people just getting online w/ little knowledge of routers.. or knowing Goat to help them fix it

there are some tough ones.. but there are some easy ones as well.. EXPEDITIONARY MEDAL PLAY 50 GAMES AS A MERCENARY PLAY 50 GAMES AS A COMMANDO/SPECIAL FORCES that will not be hard at all for most of us in a clan.. there does seem to be a few regarding sniper rifles too.. this is just an additional challenge for me/us.. i think its great and look forward to adding to my abundance of trophies i have already..

I dont see a prob w/ a lot of them.. i think easy trophies is pointless.. im glad they are challenging.. i have like 10 games right now with trophy support and some of them are ridiculously hard.. but thats what makes it so fun.. out of the ordinary objectives to help keep socom fresh and competitive against clan mates and friends. i look forward to it.. and we do have a day.. either the week of the 5th which is almost over, or the week of the 12.. which is next week.. so w/in the next 11 days..

i have always been inadub.. except for a short time where i secretly started a second clan in socom 2 which was a FOXHUNT only clan.. most of the members were 503 members that changed names.. but i made a second roster cuz at that time i was frustrated w/ how things were going.. clan BSD was started and i became Floppin Testes and BSD stood for Big Swingin Di*ks ... other then that i have been inadub since day one of my socom career. I did share an account for the first 2 days of my socom experience and i was AlwaysBlunted, we played for a clan called FRC Five Ring Clan.. they still pop up every once in a while.. socom 1 - AlwaysBlunted socom 1 - IN A DUB socom 2 - INADUB socom 2 - FloppinTesties socom 3/present day - inadub

i had the beta and me personally wouldnt recommend a pre-order unless you are simply getting the free demo, and plan on putting that money on another game.. i just couldnt get into it at all.. too many bullets to kill people.. that was my biggest complaint. i did however like that you could revive peoples health.. that was cool

We had no issues other then the occasional boot.. seemed to be fine on our end as well.. as for the update.. i cant wait.. i already love this game, other then it only having 4 new maps.. all the bug fixes and additional stuff... AHHHHHH D PAD LEAN... i wont tell you how excited that makes me..

503 usually has a 503 LaNd room up in US WEST 1. 99% of the time thats where 503 hangs out.. unless of course its mass night or some other gathering..

where did you get this info Goat.. cuz i was given these ports from Sony Rep yesterday... not saying anything other then asking where you got them. I had some other ports forwarded too and he assured me that these were old or not PS3 related.

So by now most of you have figured out a few things about your ps3 and its connectivity... mostly setting up your router properly so that there is minimal problems communicating w/ other ps3s aka your friends.. We have also figured out that when not using your media servers, that they should be turned off cuz this not only creates MAJOR issues w/ your home network and the PSN, but it also works the ps3 harder then it needs to be running when not in use. So if your already lost PM me and i can get you the link to set up your stuff correctly .. SO , now w/ the new stuff recently added.. i started up Burnout Paradise again w/ BHU and BlazinTrails (2 fellow 503 members)... we played fine the first couple of nights w/ little or no problems.. the 3rd night i believe it was Blazin had some troubles connecting to both BHU and me and finally after about 10 Ps3 freezes .. Blazin gave up and BHU raced the night away.. well the following day i could not connect to BHU or anyone online for that matter, but only on Burnout.. its weird cuz you have to connect to the servers to play the game and i was online and could even receive friend invites.. i just couldnt get to my friends list w/in the game w/o my ps3 locking up. This continued for 5 days till i finally called Sony. After 1 hour on the phone w/ them the told me it was a EA game and to call them.. well 2 hours later w/ them they had no fix either.. I deleted and re downloaded the updates and game utility data a total of 4 times, deleted all of my user data.. the works.. still no fix. So i then told them about BHU and his EA problem.. which is a whole other story but basically BHU had to create another PSN id and only then he could then log into the EA servers. Weeks later his normal PSN id works fine but i suggested i log in as another PSN Id and guess what.. it worked. So they told me to call Sony back cuz it was obviously a PSN ID related issue.. so i did.. and 45 min later he suggested i need to open up ports.. i told him i had them all forwarded but he wanted to double check.. and they apparently added 2 new ports since the write up on how to connect your router properly post was created. First try on my PSN account w/ ports forwarded Burnout worked.. i have no idea why one account would work and the other would not.. but it is what it is.. So long story short.. ( lol yea right .. this is me that is posting this, not quite of GOAT length but still ..lol ) the new ports to add are : TCP 10070 - 10080 UDP 10070 - 10070 and yes i know its only 10070 on the second one. So please add these and who knows.. maybe other games and mics will run smoother for us now too... hope this helps.

i may be able to help as well.. depending on what level of quality your dealing w/.. i have a capture card in my pc but i can only capture w/ S-Video... which is why i havnt been doing any vids as of lately... i plan on getting a new set up that will allow an HDMI plug. Any help directing me to this device would also be greatly appreciated.
