  1. I loved that show until I saw they are "reenactments".
  2. Who cares about backwards compatible .... who still plays ps2 games? I just don't see the big fuss anymore about backwards compatibility. Sure, at first it was cool when there weren't many PS3 games, but that's not the case anymore.
  3. I'd agree with the above quote! lol
  4. Lemon Pepper? Who in their right mind gets Lemon Pepper wings? lol
  5. Maybe they'll stop talking about Favre so much now!
  6. Dang, good stuff, they sounded really good!
  7. http://www.shadowops.org/forums/ Hit us up there, we have a forum dedicated for NHL and have guys on pretty often.
  8. I agree 100% ... you lose the closeness as a group, but you kinda build it up in smaller numbers ... essentially forming cliques. Which typically aren't good to have but if you could really manage them, your entire clan could have a strong presence on 2-3 games. The problem is people get all pissy that member A is on NHL or member B is on killzone, etc etc. The clan as a whole has to adopt that overall philosophy of being on more than ONE game at a time for it to even stand a chance at working.
  9. My opinion is more about clans than gaming but they do relate. I think it's only a matter of time before most or a lot of clans are more of a multi-gaming clan. I think it's the future and is kinda where we are at right now. It was simple to be a one game clan on the ps2 because there was only one good game to play as a clan. Even though the PS3 is only 2 1/2 years old it's taken this long to start and see more than one game being great (for a clan) and it's only going to continue to pump out new and better games. It was easy to roll from RB6, to GRAW, to COD .... because each game trumped the previous. With SOCOM being a pretty big disappointment and games like Killzone and the COD series continually running out new versions ... it makes it tough on clans. Even breaking into the sports genre is working out well for clans. NHL is a blast to play when you get to play on the same team with 5 or 6 clan mates, NCAA is awesome for doing a dynasty with your clan and from I've heard NBA is a lot fun to play with 5 or 6 guys. Could you imagine doing that back on the PS2? It would have never happened. Even some of these small 10 dollar games you can download in the PS store are great games and start to occupy a little bit of that time where you typically would just jump right onto SOCOM. Overall I think the gaming situation right now is great, just a little bit of a learning curve on clans and how to handle it.
  10. 503 or if anyone else would want to set up a NHL game, let us know at SHO. Our club has 15 or so in it and we have a decent amount that play it regularly. Would be a lot of fun to set up a 6 on 6 with someone we knew.
  11. I dunno, the deal sprint has is really nice ... I'm checking out the Samsung Instinct with them.
  12. Yeah, I've only had AT&T and sprint, AT&T just had way too many dead zones in my commute to work. I've never had verizon, but really can't see how it can be THAT much better for an extra 50 bucks a month and 100 less shared minutes.
  13. Looking for some help on this topic. Here's my current situation. My wife and I are on a shared plan with sprint ... we pay about $110 a month for two lines. My dad is on verizon and pays about $60 a month and my mom is on AT&T and pays $30 a month. I think we can get more services and save some cash if we all go on a family plan. I want to start using my phone for email, surfing, pictures, etc so I want to get a data package for sure. My contract expired and my dads will come February so we'll probably do it then. I couldn't believe the price difference in Verizon and Sprint for nearly the same services. Four lines, unlimited data and 1500 shared minutes with Sprint is $169 a month ... at Verizon for unlimited data and 1400 shared minutes it's $229 a month. Any suggestions on what provider would be best ? The phone decision will be next
  14. Breaking out of the normal SHOOTER or ACTION style game genre, the sports games of the year should go to NHL 09 and NCAA 09, those guys, IMO set the standard for all online sports gaming titles, they did a phenomenal job if you are looking into online dynasty/franchise modes.
  15. When will the horseman site be live ?
  16. It's more of a positive than a negative. If it helps the developers understand how the PS3 functions, it'll be very good for the future of games.
  17. Man, I remember playing S2 pretty regularly (almost every night) and I never saw that many people on! 30k was rare, I would the average was 18-25k a night.
  18. I thought you left this thread ? Politely ? LOL
  19. They worded it just fine so they can push it back. The word "still" means tomorrow it might not be on pace

    economy?

The problem lies with major business owners being too damn greedy to do so.
  23. Hog, duh, don't you know, he's only doing that because it's critical to being elected President ! LOL I really don't get involved in this stuff, just speculating what the replies will be to your post.
  24. That's exactly how I feel, I just keep telling myself that it's just a beta and we'll see. Even though COD was FPS and totally NOT like SOCOM, I think it made people look at games differently. It really was a visually appealing game and was full of excitement because of the fast pace.
  25. I'm assuming the ones who are talking about mods and the lack of over at SMF, just don't know where to look. SMF has their own customization site full of free mods and themes .... I'm interested to see what VB has that SMF does not.
