  1. When Confrontation hits, we'll be looking at ALL games modes. I don't even know if all game modes have been announced yet, have they? Thus far, every tour of UF's TACMAP series have been different and the sixth installment, the upcoming UF: Chain Reaction, will be no different. Er....or it WILL be different. I don't know how that works. Rest assured, UF likes to change things up a bit and, if I'm not already mistaken, we've already announced a few hints as to what you will and won't see in the upcoming TACMAP tourney in other threads. But as Chili said...it's hard to plan for a game that hasn't arrived yet. But we're gettin' READY!
  2. Congrats to both clans for making it this far and may the best of you win.
  3. LOL....I always took the safe route to hiding. I never liked it when gunners would lean out just far enough that their barrels broke pixel and their body would never even show...so I was always careful of that, or tried to be anyway. Definitely got me in the mood for some SOCOM.
  4. LOL....well it's good to know so many UF community players know what a pub crawl is and, even better, have been to a few.
  5. UF duties don't really allow me much time to play anything BUT what I have my clan playing....BUT, since I already pre-ordered and paid for the new SOCOM and I will have the opportunity to trade in my CoD4 disc (if it seems like the game won't last here at UF because everyone jumped to SOCOM), then I may trade it in for SW: Unleashed or something like that. Maybe SOMEDAY I'll have a free moment to play something different. LOL
  6. 8 beers and 16 shots...... Would make it hard for some to finish. How close were the bars? Within doors of each other on the same street.

    Question

    Well said, BEST said.
  8. Like a crack-ho needin' tha money! ;D
  9. I have NO idea what you guys are talking about. We take our recruits and their dignity very seriously at Ravenfall with no hijinks whatsoever. To assume anything else is just uninformed slander.
  10. I have only cried during one man-movie in my life and, the thing is, I think I've seen it about two dozen times in my lifetime and EACH time I watch it....same movie, same part....makes me cry. Major League. At the end of the movie when Berringer is calling his home run and Wesley Snipes is stealing home. They go into slow motion and Berringer is running on a bad knee and Wesley needs the steal to win and they pull it off. With the announcers going crazy, I turn the waterworks on. And it's a comedy. Only non-sad movie that gets me....but it gets me EVERY time. Don't know what the hell it is.
  11. The Halloween one I went to was $30 per person and it included 8 bars. At each bar, you got one beer and two top shelf shots...anything else past that you paid for. But with 8 bars, it was ENOUGH. Some guys, of course, had to drink as much as possible and wouldn't make it past the 5th bar. Some ladies, I guess, are right. Some guys just don't know how to pace themselves.
  12. Yeah, that wasn't a dig on anyone. Just when I read "nutslap," I laughed out loud. It was too funny.
  13. Anyone here ever participated in a pub crawl? Y'know...an organized trail of bars that you and about 200 other people participate in raiding on a time schedule to drink as much as possible? Anyone have any good stories about them? The only one I have involved me in a beer garden at one during Halloween and when a homeless woman came up to me, I thought she was a chick DRESSED as a homeless woman.....but no, she was crazy and homeless and took a handful of my nuts in her palm before walking off drunk, laughing the whole way. My girlfriend at the time had some trouble mentally with that one. LOL Others? How many have you been to and do you like 'em?
  14. Clan [aKr] stepped up in their final match of their Black VI tour and beat defending champs [KOS] to take the title of WINNER. I'd like to thank both clans for participating in Black and making it as far as you did. This will be Black's last tourney for the SOCOM: Combined Assault game as Urgent Fury is busy getting things geared up for Confrontation's release whereby we'll see the return of Black....as well as a few others. Good job to the both of you and congratulations, aKr, on taking the top spot.
  15. I don't know if it was or wasn't, but ONE thing I think is clear here..... SOMEONE needs to adopt the moniker here and change their name to: Clan Nutslap [OO] The tag denotes a pair of small but proud testicles.
  16. I couldn't help you there. Ravenfall adopts a very plain vanilla style of tryout. It's really just measuring their online presence and that's about it. We don't really see the need for extra frills.
  17. Good luck to you guys. Here's to your new beginning. Hope it's a good one.
  18. WELL.....looks like I CAN take a vacation soon. Couldn't have welcomed this guy any better myself. LOL Nice, Peebrain. But yes, Denied Ops......Welcome to UF. There will no longer be any more tourneys for SOCOM: CA. Urgent Fury is currently gearing up for SOCOM: Confrontation. When it drops.....the Urgent Fury community will be seeing TWO new tournaments added to its salvo (consider yourself notified in THIS thread and no where else that there will be TWO new tourneys...LOL....thus far, the UF community only knew of one new one: Urgent Fury: Tribes) Guess I let another cat out of the bag, eh? There will be an announcement about this in the next week or so.
  19. Chili! I'm doing the Human Race for the Chicago location! I'll be running alongside you in spirit!
  20. Good luck to all four clans left in the Crucible. TDH, I don't make it into Crucible matches, but I felt compelled to do these last Crucible ones as they were APC's last tournament matches as a clan. I was glad I could be the captain that went down with the ship. It was a good war and, judging from the final four clans, the last three matches to be played in Crucible-3 should be pretty great. Best of luck to you, TDH (for beating us) and, to the other three, good luck to you as well. Win with honor, lose with dignity, guys!
  21. Oh, a few things.

  23. There's something wrong with the people on this thread......
  24. Welcome to the community. Take your time, look around, enjoy the sights....and relax.
  25. Scott Top: "Down" from the "4" album, I believe. Bottom: "Sex Type Thing" you had it right. Axl Top: "Yesterdays" close to November Rain, could be a toss up, but I think this one is higher Bottom: give "Dust and Bones" a listen-to. The thing is, Axl can boast more range in the highs because he goes insanely high.....in the STUDIO. That man just can't pull it off on stage live, especially as the tour progresses. Weiland has very good range, perhaps not as wide of berth as Axl, but he controls it enough where he can deliver it again and again, night after night. I like both....of course, don't get me wrong. And GnR was (until Tool came around) my fave band through high school and, hell, even through college. But I've since come to appreciate other singers who have varied ranges but perform and CONTROL them better. Weiland...Maynard James Keenan really gets lost on just TOO many people out there. The lead singer from Candlebox was VERY good with controlled range as well, for as little distance as that band went. In regards to GnR...I will always love those guys. But in hindsight, and in looking now at what I listen to and appreciate, I think I loved GnR back then for their attitude and explosiveness. I think Slash is all-world, I think Duff, able to play any instrument, is a true musician's musician. And forget Steven Adler.....Matt Sorum is THE SHIT. When someone like Lars Ulrich, who is not the best drummer but a damn good one, cites Sorum as a GOD, well, that says a lot. Axl.....he was just he skinny guy that loved drama and liked to throw tantrums. He was the drama queen that halted up shows and caused riots. I loved the explosiveness, like I said. But now, older and wiser, I see that I loved the MUSIC of GnR...which is why I like Velvet Revolver, I guess. Axl is good....was good......but there is FAR better out there. I just think that Scott Weiland is one of them.
