    My 80 gig had this issue. It wouldn't let me delete old messages, it wouldn't receive new messages, etc. I had to hard reboot it, but ONLY after I disabled in-game messaging. Then, when I booted it back up, I deleted all my old messages, and then enabled in-game messaging. Sign back into the PSN, and you will get flooded with all the messages you missed. Least that was my experience.

    I recently had my launch go down, but Slnt_Bob came out and fixed it....he's in your clan bro, you might want to just hit him up. You pay him (ALOT less than Sony) and ship it to him, he fixes it and ships it back. No data loss, no concern about it not working (he does excellent work!) afterwards.....
