As a former staff member myself, thats probably accurate.. Tow, and Sniper kept ALOT of the big stuff to themselves... understandably so I know that if i had volunteered my time the war the staff has done to keep this thing running as well as it has and then i had to find out about this announcement by reading a post in the general message board, I would be spitting mad. Well it's obvious that you don't know Tow..... When he SHUT down APC and started RVN he didn't tell most of his gunners. He actually spent 2-3 months screwing with us until it came time for him to tell us. SO I doubt that he told the staff anything. I'm sure they will now be talking about it just as we did when he closed the chapter on APC. yeah, different strokes i guess.

Especially with the post yesterday about big news, everyone thought is was going to be something good. But... it was like if dad got home for work and said "Gather 'round kids, I've got a big earth-shattering surprise for you!!" All the kids gather round and are so excited they're shaking and can barely control it. Dad says "Guess what? your mother and i are getting a divorce and im moving to Barbados with my mistress." Even there you'd hope that the old man would have the decency to let his wife know first...

I read the article in SI when it came yesterday, dude sounds like the real deal. The thing that probably stuck out most to me though is how his parents are trying to finagle the Draft eligibility rules. I am an absolute DIEHARD baseball fan, and, bar none, the biggest issue facing MLB is fixing the draft. It's the only major sport where you consistently have teams passing on top talent due to 'signability' issues. I would personally be thrilled to death if they allowed teams to trade draft picks like in other sports. Take the Nationals this year for example. Stephen Strasburg is hands-down the top amateur player eligible for the draft this year and he has every single GM drooling all over their power ties. He's going to command a king's ransom to sign and the nationals really don't have any other option but to draft and attempt to sign him. The Nationals are an altogether mess though, and are way farther away from relevance than one player. If the Nationals were able to trade the rights to Strasburg to another team, they would undoubtedly get back multiple first round picks and probably some near MLB-ready talent as well for it. It would also stop the bullshit that leads to guys like Rick Porcello being drafted 27th when he was a consensus Top-5 talent. /rant

I've had it sporadically since the last firmware update. Another LPK member who lives near me and also has TWC cable has been having the same problems. The thing that works best* is to go into network settings and do the easy setup option and try again. *its worked the last 3 times it happened. its probably just me praying to jobu, but im going to stick with it til it fails me next.

I don't necessarily want that, as i think Sony's underfunding and mismanagement has at least as much culpability as /6, but i think that it's clear that the team needs a new sense of direction and that perhaps a new general (do canadians have generals? a new mounty?) is needed in the /6 army.
