The U.S. Government and the United Auto Workers Union own most of the company of the car you are about to buy. Good luck with that. Don't say you weren't warned. Shit, my current car is destined to be a classic. The U.S. Government is shutting down the Pontiac brand. I should park my car and put a blanket over it. In 20 years, it will be worth twice as much as I paid for it, if the U.S. is still selling gasoline that is.... Nah.... I'll just drive it and enjoy it. I'm paying for it afterall.

That's why you always aim for the head.... self defense, one shot, "hey I tried to hit him in the leg". I feel no sympathy for the perp. But if you are going to pump six bullets, you better make it look like you did it in a state of panic. The charge is legit. We can't have people carrying out summary executions, and this is what that was. The pharmacist could have done 100 other things and been perfectly alright. He had to know he was on camera. It was a stupid move.

Did anyone actually expect any better from /6? Yea they are fixing stuff, the game has only been released 8 months or so. And they are still working on stuff promised on the release date. I'm a manager, I fire people for being this incompetent. This is beyond bad, it borders on fraud. Before anyone chimes in with "why do you play it". Because FPS respawn shooter games suck the chrome off a trailer hitch, that's why.

Tool.... my man. I'm not surprised. Our own President would only make himself available for 30 minutes to honor those who have fallen in service to this great nation. The rest of the day he was playing golf. If that's ^^^^ bashing and making a politically charged statement, then the standard has indeed shifted. I think it's just that Obama supporters are hyper sensitive. Which in it's self is a little fun to watch.... ;D

I worked for a year straight without a day off, it was called Desert Storm. I worked for 10 months straight without a day off, that was Operation Iraqi Freedom. I worked 7 months straight without a day off, that was being a Drill Instructor. I wasn't talking politics. I just love how it was patriotic to criticize the last President, but this President can't be criticized for anything. Obama is the Commander in Chief, he should act like it. If he can take a whole day to go talk about abortion at a Notre Dame University graduation, he should make more than 30 minutes available for the nation's war dead. I don't care if Obama play's golf. I don't care if Obama takes time off to recharge his batteries. I think he should do such things. But give some thought to what days he does it, that's too much to ask?

heh.... a day off? Couldn't he have played on Sunday, he's not going to church now, can't find a preacher in D.C. that hates America I guess... Bush was villified in the press and in a movie for playing golf while there was a war going on. And then ridiculed when he stopped. That was the standard the liberal press had set, and was supported by all those who hated Bush. So that's all fine and well I suppose. Just don't expect Obama honor the nation's war dead because that's asking too much. He deserves the day off. Running all over the world bowing to kings, apologizing to our enemy's for America's past actions, and sitting still and listening a 3rd rate dictator thug give a 50 minute speech on how screwed up America is. That's a lot of work. So cut the man some slack...... is that what you are trying to say?

Wow Chili.... Own stock in CoD? Some pretty pointed characterzations about people's opinions, calling them "morons" to make your arguement. You sound just like War Pig talking politics, can't seem to make your point without trying to make someone else feel stupid. I can't figure out if you are upset that people don't love the same game you do, or you just hate SOCOM so much that the hate transfers to people who enjoy it. Play CoD until you wear your fingers down to little nubs for all I care. I don't give a shit and I doubt anyone who prefers SOCOM does either. Enjoy the game you play and let others do the same, what's so hard about that?

I'm disappointed that Confrontation has gone back to the smaller maps that funnel teams into one or two ways (most maps). Urban Wasteland would be phenomenal if it was about 4 times bigger and your could go 4 or 5 stories higher in the center builidng. Respawns are for kids who don't like to think to hard. The idea if you make a mistake in SOCOM and have to sit there dead until the next round is what gives SOCOM some sort of realism that is COMPLETELY absent in respawns. Why be concerned with dying if you come back in 10 seconds? And that's how people that I observed played them. That's why SOCOM is better suited for those who are more serious about playing a tactical match instead of a game that is closer to kindergarten dodgeball where no one is made to sit down no matter how many times they are hit.

The more I read, the more disappointing this game sounds. FPS was an automatic disqualifier. But all the other nonsene will make me feel like I'm not missing anything.

Nice shot, and good on her for taking it. If 725 yards with a sniper rifle with a scope is impressive. ALL Marines qualify with the M-16A2 every year. No scope. Start at the 200 yard line for 25 shots. Back to the 300 yard line for 15 shots. Back to the 500 yard line for 10 shots. And that's just the basic marksmanship training every Marine does. No scope, just an ordinary mass produced M16A2. Anyone now wonder why our military is so good?

I haven't been a 3 handicap since my knee surgery, but when I was, I was using steel shaft clubs, including the driver, only my 3 wood was graphite. You want a set you feel comfortable with and is pleasing to your eye. After all, the club is just a tool you use to play the game, your mind and skill level is your greatest asset. Shaft stiffness is a big factor, what's at the end of the shaft not so much. Want to enjoy golf and improve? Work on your short game. 100 yard shots. Short pitches. Chips. Bunker play. And of course putting. If you aren't spending 60% of your practice time on that, you are wasting time. It's all in the mind set. When I was playing really well, my short game was very good. People have told me I'm the best bunker player that they have seen other than on T.V. If I missed the green with the approach, I got up and down to save par more times than not. Which translated into me being more relaxed about the approach shots, and I started hitting more greens. Next thing I knew, I had broken par on the three courses I played the most and was a 3 handicap. And I was kicking the shit out of players who had much more expensive clubs than I had. What was in my bag? A set of Hogan Irons I paid $350 for that I still have today. A KMart sandwedge (no shit). And I had a couple of used drivers I picked up for $50 bucks or so, Taylor Made and Calloway (steel shaft). Since the surgery I've slipped to a 9 handicap since I don't have as much time to practice as I used to. And guess what sucks the most, my short game. So my advice, spend 40% of your time hitting iron shots and drivers, spend 60% on the short game. You will know when it's time to move up. I bought my first set of clubs from WalMart for less than $200 bucks, I started as a 24 handicap and used them until I was a 8 handicap. Then I upgraded. I've been playing 19 years, I'm on my 3rd set of Irons and plan to keep them quite a while longer, they still seem to work.

I don't think the fact the game is fashioned after a real battle is the issue. It's that moronic statement about having players experience the horrors of war in a video game that was stupid. It was going to be a TPS so I was going to give it a try on that basis alone. They should have just made a game and not try to make political and anti war statements. Too bad.

FPS makes me queasy, like getting sea sick. I can't play it more than an hour and I have to stop. CoD, Quantum of Solace, both do the same thing to me. Plus, that obstruction in the middle of my screen (the gun) isn't realistic either. Looking down the sights of a gun, I don't see my hand, the front stock, and barrel end, just see the sights and the target.
