Sid this is what brought all of us to this place many many moons ago. For your point about COD not being fully respawn you are correct sir. There is one NON respawn mode. I think the comparison to cod is a valid one. Zipper is trying to make socom more appealing to the masses. The masses currently play cod the most without a doubt. Therefore they are making socom somewhat like cod. For us old school guys we prefer the more realistic(outside of 3rd person) title available. A big thing in the old socoms was respawn was always unranked, and it was really only a warmup. This is a HUGE change. You say not to play it then. You're right I probably won't play it. My big gripe is that if they are going to add in Classic mode for us classic guys then it needs to be classic and not a basic version of the new gamestyle. However bad it is I will probably play it for a long time because I am tired of cod.

Not woot Insidious. That is disappointing to hear for the loyalists. If you really think about it, laser triggered claymores is the most unrealistic thing ever. Call me an old timer but I want socom not a cod hybrid. If I want to play a fast paced more arcadish game I'll pop in cod, but when I look for realistic, strategic gameplay, I look to Socom. Either way I'm sure I'll be seeing you Helix boys on Socom. I'm jonesing for anything not COD right now lol.

Thank you for reminding me why I never played respawn. I'm hoping to get a beta tomorrow and get on this shit. Let me ask you this though in classic mode are the claymores still of the laser style like cods or is it remote like old school socom? I heard there is no friendly fire on claymores which is bull. That is so not realistic. How can a claymore tell the difference between friend or foe. Yes I just name dropped a terrible game show.

Firefly is the greatest Sci-Fi show ever. Period the end!!! I thought Frozen was good for a B movie. I personally love old B movies. The Toxic Avenger wasn't in my last sig for nothing. I'm still stuck on trailer park boys. Its so damn funny.

I really hope Socom 4 is great. This COD series is soooo stale. I'll probably end up buying every damn cod game anyways if thats what the clan wants to play but I really am putting all my hopes and dreams on Socom 4.

I love Spartacus as well. Although as a lover of history it is not completely accurate. For those of you die hards don't think Gannicus was introduced for nothing in the prequel. If they stay true to actual events you will be seeing him again soon. Also serious props to Tool for having IP Man on there. Definitely one of my favorite martial arts movies ever. Based on the life of the real IP Man. I thought Frozen was pretty well done for a B movie. Blue Mountain State is pretty amazing. Just watched both seasons a few weeks ago in a matter of days. On Monday I just got hooked on a drug worse than Heroin. Its called Trailer Park Boys. Some of the funniest stuff you will ever see. They have both movies and at least the first 5 seasons of the show on Instant Queue. Another good one is a movie called Rampage. That is one of my favorites on the IQ.

Ok so after seeing the blog post about this game I did a little research and I am getting myself very psyched up for this game. I haven't had a pure single player game since MGS4. So naturally the itch is becoming unbearable right now. I have always been a fan of sniping in games and tactical stuff so I drawn to this. I was wondering if anyone had played this on Xbox or PC. I've heard those two versions have some glitches and the AI difficulty fluctuates a lot. If you have played this or know someone who has please let me know what you think. It drops in March for PS3 and I am stoked right now.

I thought the vehicles in socom 3/ca were great. You always had the option to turn them off if you wanted. Just make sure you leave them on if you are trying to play Devils Road big lol. You could be walking forever on some of those maps. I loved how at the beginning of rounds you could drop off different squads at different locations. Just thinking about that game pisses me off because there is nothing even close to it out right now. Watching a humvee driver get sniped from 300 yards away and crash the truck into a wall was the funniest thing to me. Ok I'll really try not to hijack this with socom propaganda anymore.
